AVOID. I installed this and when I clicked ‘Activate’ on the Plugins page my site threw a critical error. I’ve contacted Support but I’d rather have a Refund.

What are the timescales for support tickets/emails? I have sent 1 via email 2 weeks ago and 1 via the support ticket system a week ago, and I am receiving no response. Do I need to move to a different plugin?

I have received a reply thank you

Hi!

Thank you for letting us know. We’re glad you received a response. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Hello, Is there any way I can avoid injecting the consent code on a specific page? I’m having problems with the “forgot password” form page where the email address cannot be validated without consent, although there is no box anywhere to do so. I want to be able to exclude this page somehow so that it works properly. Until recently there were no problems, but it is possible that since the latest Woocommerce updates there may be something like this. Thanks!

Hi there! Thanks so much for reaching out to us.

To look into this issue more closely, we’d really appreciate it if you could contact our support team directly via https://createit.support/. If we confirm that the problem is specifically caused by a conflict between Ultimate GDPR & CCPA CMP for WordPress and the latest WooCommerce update, we’ll be happy to work on a fix and include it in the plugin update.

Looking forward to helping you sort this out!

Thank you!

Is there any way to replace the default settings icons with a custom set? I couldn’t find a suitable cookie icon in the available list. I want an icon like everybody uses as a cookie.

Hi!

Unfortunately, apart from the available settings options that let you choose a cookie icon from the list (https://scr.createit.com/GQcg97JD06Qv4daj97Gt), there is currently no other way to change the icon.

Thanks!

Hello,

This error keeps appearing in my WordPress error.log :

If you search Google for “shortcode-terms-accept.php” (with quotation marks) you can also see the error on the frontend of some websites.

Thank you.

Environement:

Issue with Duplicate Accept Buttons on Privacy Policy Page

Hello createlIT,

I’m experiencing an issue with your plugin on my Privacy Policy page. The page is showing two “Accept” buttons, one before the text and one after.

Here are the steps I’ve taken to troubleshoot:

The plugin itself seems to generate both buttons, even when I add the shortcode manually.
I disabled all other plugins, but the problem persists.
I switched to a default WordPress theme, but the issue remains unchanged.
Cache cleaned.

It looks like the plugin is automatically inserting an extra button in addition to the shortcode output. Could you please advise on how to remove the duplicate button or configure the plugin so that only one “Accept” button appears?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards, Prolet

Hello, would you please update the plugin?

Hi!

An update for the plugin is planned, but the final release date has not been determined yet. In the meantime, if you encounter any issues or notice anything not working as expected, please reach out to our support team at https://createit.support/.

We’ll be happy to help, and if a fix is needed, we’ll make sure to include it in the next release.

Thanks createIT

Dear CreateIT Support,

I’m using the classic consent bar from your Ultimate GDPR plugin (not the TCF version, which isn’t necessary for my use case). I’m looking to deploy Google Tag Gateway, a new alternative to server-side tagging that enables first-party tracking and injects the Google Tag Manager (GTM) code automatically via Cloudflare.

The current behavior of the Ultimate GDPR plugin creates a conflict with Google Tag Gateway:

- If we remove our GTM ID from the plugin’s settings to avoid duplicate code injection, the Google Consent Mode v2 signals (gtag(“consent”, “default”)/update) stop being sent.

- If we keep our GTM ID in the plugin, it injects a redundant GTM script, which conflicts with the version already managed by Cloudflare.

My Request: Would it be possible to add an option to disable GTM code insertion by the Ultimate GDPR plugin, while ensuring that Consent Mode v2 signals continue to be sent?

Sources:

- Google Tag Gateway Documentation: https://developers.google.com/tag-platform/tag-manager/gateway/setup-guide?hl=en&setup=auto

- Google Tag Gateway Explainer Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEUA6d2wieE

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

Hi there,

Just following up regarding my request to add an option to disable GTM code injection while keeping Consent Mode v2 signals active (classic consent bar).

It’s been a few months, and this update would really help users integrating with Google Tag Gateway or similar Cloudflare-based setups. Could you please confirm whether this is planned or not?

Best regards,

I apologize for the long delay in getting back to you. Our team is currently working on this request, and the change is planned for the upcoming 5.4.0 plugin release. If anything changes, we’ll do our best to keep you updated, though at the moment I don’t have more detailed information.

Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for your response.

I am eagerly awaiting the next update and hope that it will include the fix for perfect compatibility with Google Tag Gateway (Cloudflare’s Google Tag Manager integration).

Currently, the forced integration of Google Tag Manager by Ultimate GDPR (without which Consent Mode is deactivated) creates a duplication with the Google Tag Manager integration handled by Cloudflare. This duplication is disrupting the proper functioning of the Google Tag Gateway.

I hope your team understands the critical nature of this issue.

Best regards, and good luck with the work!

I’m surprised to see that you guys are not supporting from past 10 days here is my ticket https://createit.support/helpdesk/en/tickets/view/4464121?token=6fba0fda4011cc97a1af1d18138135fe6b5acbc2

Our support contacted you also yesterday with additional questions. Please stay in touch with them, so they can fully understand what kind of help you need now. Sorry for the inconvenience!

❌ After spending over 15 days trying to integrate Ultimate_GDPR with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Consent Mode v2, I had to give up. Despite detailed troubleshooting and communication, support provided generic replies and didn’t resolve the core issue: GTM wouldn’t load reliably after consent.

I switched to the free Complianz GDPR plugin, and within 15 minutes it was fully working — GTM loaded only after consent, and Consent Mode v2 integration was seamless.

Support for this plugin was disappointing. If you’re using GTM or looking for a modern, reliable consent solution — look elsewhere.

Hi there!

Sorry for you experience with our support! We’ll do our best to improve our support in the future.

Thanks createIT

Hello could you please help me to remove the ”powered by createIT” inside onsent Mode V2?

I like you plugin, thats why i bought it. However please allow me to remove the advertisement and guide me to the option or code to remove it.

Your support page is blocking me by Wordfence once i want to create a ticket. Kind regards Maximilian

Hi there!

You will need to use some custom CSS code to remove it, the following code should do:

.cm-powered-by { display: none !important; }

You can add it e.g. in Appearance > Customize > Custom CSS in your theme settings.

If you still have problems with that, please send us an email to support@createit.com

Thanks, createIT

Hi,

We’ve noticed that you are no longer listed among the Google-certified CMPs (https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/13554116?#zippy=%2Ccertified-cmps) or on the IAB Europe CMP list (https://iabeurope.eu/cmp-list/).

Last year, you appeared on these lists under ID 408 – createIT.

Could you please explain why you are no longer part of these lists and what the impact is for websites using your CMP?

We understand that using a Google-uncertified CMP (even if Consent Mode V2 is fully implemented) could have the following impacts:

-Google Ads: It would be impossible to perform remarketing.

-Google AdSense: Banners would display generic, non-personalized advertisements.

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

I understand your concern. If you wish to switch to another solution, you can request a refund of our plugin via the Envato refund form.

Thanks, createIT

Hi createIT Team,

Following our previous exchange, I wanted to provide an update based on further research I’ve conducted on Google’s consent management requirements. It’s been a complex topic to fully grasp, and I’ve gained a clearer understanding of who exactly is impacted by the obligation to use a Google-certified CMP.

My new understanding is that the requirement for a Google-certified CMP primarily concerns publishers (website owners who display Google Ads, like AdSense banners). For them, using a certified CMP is essential to ensure personalized ads can be served and that their ad revenue isn’t negatively impacted.

However, for advertisers (those who run Google Ads campaigns to drive traffic to their own site for conversions or remarketing, without displaying ads themselves as publishers), the situation is different. As long as the CMP on their own website perfectly transmits user consent signals to Google services via Consent Mode V2, the absence of a Google certification for that specific CMP does not prevent essential functionalities. This means that for advertisers like me, we can still reliably track conversions (whether accepted directly or modeled when consent is refused), and build visitor audiences for remarketing purposes.

I wanted to clarify this publicly because I truly believe you’re doing a fantastic job with “Ultimate GDPR by createIT”. Your plugin offers excellent functionality, and I wouldn’t want any misunderstanding on my part to inadvertently affect your business.

Knowing this distinction, I’m genuinely pleased that, as an advertiser, I can confidently continue to use your solution. The fact that you are no longer a Google-certified CMP does not, in fact, concern my specific use case, given your continued technical compliance and Consent Mode V2 implementation.

Thanks again for your continued support!

Wow! Amazing job with the research! Thank you so much for sharing this here, we appreciate it a lot!

the plugin is blocking google analytics by default how to allow it ? on the docs Allow Google Analytics to always track all users like before ⇒ Make sure that you triggered cookie detector and Google Analytics cookies are listed in Services Manager (⇥how to use Service manager) ⇒ Edit Google Analytics service

But its not clear what cookies ?? why it so hard to allow it ?

Hi there!

Please contact our support at support@createit.com – ideally with a screenshot from your Service manager and test access to your website, so we can guide you on what to update.

Hi, We’ve been using this plugin for a month, but just realized the cookie consent is not getting “approved”. We use server side tracking, could that affect it? Can you help us figure out what this means and how to correct it? ive submitted a ticket already

Hi there!

Sure, we will be more than happy to assist you. Our support team will reach you via your ticket. Please make sure that you provided there basic information needed for investiagation, like site URL and screens from the GTM/GA panel.

Hi! Pre sale question. How can I set up Consent mode on Google Analytics with your plugin? I do not see it in the list of third party platforms it mentions.

Thank you. I had seen your documentation and video. I was looking for a some additional screenshots form GA4 and GTM.

Take a look at our TCF GTM Demo page: https://gdpr.createit.com/tcf-gtm-demo/ you will have there screenshots with additional comments.

YES! Thank you.

Hi, I don’t know what’s going on. I can’t see the cookie settings button, only the accept button. What should I do? Thanks.

Hi there!

Please check your settings in Cookie Consent > Advanced Settings and make sure that option “use advanced cookies groups” is enabled. If it’s not, enable it, and make sure to click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

Thanks, createIT
