Pre-purchase question: my site is already set up that when you click on a video image, it pops up to play in a light box and does not go to YouTube page. Will this plug in do this so I don’t have to redesign the whole website which is over 200 pages? I’m currently using ari fancy light box. I like the plug in but it’s not being updated regularly. And since one old plug-in already broke my site once, and I had a hard time figuring out what broke the site. I decided to replace all the plugins that haven’t been updated in 2 years or near 2 years. Website is already much faster since doing this.

No, the plugin pulls videos from YouTube channel/playlist or a single video and displays it on your website. If you display a channel or playlist, new videos will be pulled automatically and will be displayed on your website after adding it to YouTube.

1. The videos are displayed in the order that they are on the YouTube. The YouTube API doesn’t provide options to change the ordering.
2. You can change any color or appearance by writing custom CSS styles.

t’s funny when I’m logged in everything works as soon as you are logged out and want to load more videos you get a “mxYouTubeR ajax error.” error message. I have turned off everything that could be the reason but unfortunately it is still like this. But otherwise I am very satisfied, it does what it should and the documentation is also simple and understandable.

You have some plugin that redirects the YouTubeR AJAX request with 302 header. I might thought that it is such a webserver configuration, but you said that when you are logged-in it is not happening. So it is a plugin that makes that redirect.
Found the problem I have a code snippet that only allows the admin to go to the backend that seems to cause the error thanks.
Are you going to update the plugin for 6.5.x support?

Hello. The plugin should work fine with the WP 6.5
The timeout error means that the system didn’t get response from the Google API. Seems like your website hosting block all outgoing connections.

So, as there is a width property of that container, then you can change it in the container settings. Have no idea how you created this layout and what plugins did you user for that, but you need to adjust settings of that layout so it would the width that you need.
YouTubeR just takes the width that is available. So it will be stretched to the width of the parent container.

There is no ordering in YouTube API, so we can’t pull the videos in the order other than it is on YouTube. But there is ordering in the plugin, but it sorts only the pulled videos. For example, you display 10 videos. These 10 videos are pulled from the YouTube API and then sorted by the specified ordering.
The ordering can be controlled with the “order_by” and “order_dir” parameters. More about these parameters you can read in the plugin documentation.

There is no information if it’s livestream on a regular video on the YouTube API.
The plugin can display a single video or a playlist or a channel videos.

The YouTubeR plugin works with shortcodes. So you must write a shortcode in order to display video/playlist/channel.
Examples of the shortcodes are on the demo website: http://youtuber.maxiolab.com/
