Hi. How exactly to implement this with Elementor?

FE_support Author Team

Hi channeldoubler

Could you please provide more detailed information on what you mean by that?

If you are referring to how to display the filter on pages created with Elementor, you can use either shortcodes: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/

Or use the Filter widget (Filter Everything – Filters). You can manually find it in the left widget panel while editing the page with Elementor (WordPress section). Please note that it won’t appear in search results.

Best Regards,
Victor

I have in Settings:

“Hide Empty Filters” on (Hide the Entire Filter if no one term contains posts)

but it still shows them !!!

check out the link… https://atozevents.com/modeling-agency/browse-models/

I do not have Gender: Male…still there Home base: Arizona still showing

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FE_support Author Team

In that case, you can check the following on the site:

1) Make sure the correct query is selected in the “And what to filter” section of the filter set.
2) Try placing the filter set on the exact category page and test it. Archive pages may use unique queries.
3) Check the database for corrupted attribute data.
4) Turn off all caching solutions during testing and update the filter sets.
5) Disable all custom code, plugins, and themes, leaving only WooCommerce and the Filter Everything plugins active. Use the default WP 2025 theme for testing. If filtering works correctly, re-enable plugins, custom code, and your current theme one by one to identify the exact step where it stops working properly.

There is no default approach, as each case is unique. If none of the above steps help, you can use a staging site where the same issue occurs, so we can check it.

Victor

Hi Victor Your instructions are a bit above me I cannot disable all custom code…impossible !!

if you get in…i am worried you do not know my web site…there is a lot of programing

would you like to go inside to look at the plugin setting and see if anything is off

or i can send you a video inside my system and take images of your plugin settings See maybe something is off

Have a wonderful day.

FE_support Author Team

Hi calanita

As we mentioned, if you create a copy of the site on a staging domain, we can debug it without any concerns about the live site.

However, if that’s not possible, we can check the live site while only accessing the plugin settings.

Please ensure you have backups. In general, debugging live sites is not recommended, but we can proceed safely by only reviewing the plugin settings and updating them if needed. The rest of the plugins and technical setup will not be touched.

Hello: We are thinking about buying a paid version of FilterEverything plugin, would you please confirm if we can achieve this scenario:

On page with no products we would like to mimic this setup https://www.ptacs.com/replacement-guide/ Along with regular attribute filters in the form of drop-downs, they have 2 search fields. AND search is predictive, populating some results as the user types things in. Those results would need to be pulled from product attributes and brands and potentially from product name and description. (In this link example looks like they are using ACF. We are using Woo. Also the table below the search and filter is completely separate from the search and filter. But if there is a way to connect those two – it would be great. So as the user types something in the search field – the below table gets narrowed down to relevant items).

Compatible with Divi builder

Thank you!

That would probably work! Would you please confirm if this option is only available in the PRO version? Im currently not seeing it in the free, but maybe Im missing something.

Thank you for your help!

FE_support Author Team

Hi homefieldm

The term search field is available in both versions. However, for term search within dropdowns, you need the PRO version, as it relies on the improved dropdown styles. Standard HTML dropdowns don’t support this functionality; it requires Select2, which is already integrated in the PRO version.

Also, in the Free version, you can create only one filter set, which can be displayed on archive pages of a filtered post type, working only with the main query. If page builders are involved, then the PRO version is the better choice, as it supports working with custom queries.

Victor

Thank you so much!!

Hi! I saw a comment on here about this pagination issue but have not been able to resolve on my own. We currently use the ementor pagination and it does not update when selecting filters. The products filter as they should but there are still multiple pages within the pagination that are displaying empty when selected since there are not enough products for those pages. Pagination and products are within the elementor container while filter sets are not. https://houseofgains.com/product-category/supplements/productsize-25lb/

FE_support Author Team

Hi webconsulthub1

Try using another theme, such as the default Twenty Twenty-Five theme, and also make sure to select the correct list in the “And what to filter” setting. This can be strictly connected to the theme functionality or the chosen list in the filter set settings.

Best Regards,
Victor

Firstly I see no Elementor widgets but using the shortcodes, the filtering works. However, there’s no ‘sort by’ dropdown options like there is in your Elementor demo here https://demo.filtereverything.pro/elementor/. I did try the help in the Wordpress plugin and it gave me short code but it generates an error “There are no Sorting widgets on this site yet. Please, create it first.” I can’t find anything to create one, can you help?

FE_support Author Team

Hi RyanHouseofType

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Elementor’s search won’t find the widgets related to the filtering plugin.

You can find them in the WordPress section, located in the Elementor widgets area on the left side while editing the page with Elementor.

Best Regards,
Victor

Thanks for the help, Victor.

Hello, I am experiencing a problem with stock status also. All other filters work, but if you choose stock status, the filter does not work. This all worked before and I don’t think anything has changed. It has just stopped working all of a sudden? Please can you help?

FE_support Author Team

Hi Sophie

Seems like you have some code that is interfering during the building of the filtered URL, so it is only working with the stock status filter. Some type of third-party plugin functionality or custom code is connected to it. If we use the simple GET parameters, it works as it should without any redirections: https://luxurywatcheswimbledon.com/product-category/watches/?fe_status=instock

But if we use the permalink structure, some functionality redirects the filtered page to the main homepage.

So, you can turn off all of your plugins and other custom code to find the one that is causing this, including all permalink-related plugins and themes.

Or you can use this code to turn off the permalinks functionality in our plugin and use the GET parameters:

define( 'FLRT_PERMALINKS_ENABLED', false );

Best Regards,
Victor

Hiya, ok I’ve added that code into the theme’s functions.php file and it seems to be working. I think this is the best thing to do as the other plugins are needed and there are a lot of other plugins in use and I don’t want to open that Pandora’s box!

Thank you for your help :)

FE_support Author Team

Hi Sophie

Yeah, the bigger and more complex the site (especially with a specific configuration), the safer option is to avoid altering individual parts. Changing one section can easily cause issues elsewhere, since everything was likely set up that way for a reason.

In any case, we’re glad to hear that it helped fix the filtering issue.

Victor

I’m inserting my license key in the plugin settings, save, the page refreshes and the input field is empty again and plugin is in LOCKED mode, what should I do

FE_support Author Team

Hi noftech

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Do you see any errors after the page refreshes? Usually, there should be some type of error message if something is wrong.

First things first: license key vs purchase key (they are two different things)

Please use incognito mode in your browser during this process!

In order to get the License key for the Filter Everything PRO plugin, simply head to Filters -> Settings -> License and click the “Get your License Key” button.

It will take you to a new page where you have to log in with your Envato credentials (with an account where you have purchased the plugin) and obtain your License key.

If using the license key is still not working, please check the error you’re getting here: https://prnt.sc/44k7olA62G7Q

I’m unable to translate the filter titles. I already translated the string/taxonomies via WPML and added a seperate filter set in English, but nothing is workig and the filter titles remain Dutch on my English webshop

FE_support Author Team

Hi digitalm134

You need to create two filter sets, one for English and one for the other language, and add the appropriate titles in each set. For example, if the English version uses “Color” as a filter title, the Dutch version should use the Dutch title for the color filter. In the WPML, the settings for Filter Set translations should be chosen exactly like on this page: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/with-wpml-polylang/

Each filter set should contain its own filters. Adding a translation to a filter set does not automatically copy the filters to the translated version; you need to add them manually by opening the translated version of the filter set directly, not via the translator.

If you want us to check your filter settings, you’ll need to extend your support period so we can provide instructions on how to securely share the credentials. This will allow us to check the issue directly on your site.

I spent more then 10 hours to create an seo rule and index it. I successfully create seo rule. added h1, title, meta description. the url is working properly showing page title, h1 and meta description. But the issue is meta robots show noindex, nofollow for those filter pages. Can you guide me what howe can i fix it. the indexing depth is set to 5. I read your guide and followed it completely but without any success. here is my seo rule …/dawlance-led-tv/smart-tv-yes. this is url https://www.aysonline.pk/dawlance-led-tv/smart-tv-yes/ here is configuration screenshot https://prnt.sc/a2nVaUXXHCXa

FE_support Author Team

Hi mansooryousaf

Well, as far as we can see, on the provided page, the plugin works just fine with the robot tags: https://prnt.sc/N6fX8RAddVb8

The issue is that something else is applying the robots tags to the page as nofollow/noindex. The filtering functionality is applying the correct tags, so the incorrect ones are likely coming from another plugin, theme setting, or custom code.

Yesterday, I purchased the Filter Everything Pro version. I downloaded the zip file, and it gave me an older version, the 1.9.1, and not the 1.9.4. My AI is telling me I need the latest version to get everything set up properly in WordPress. Can you please help me out?

FE_support Author Team

Hi nateprice

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Yes, you can update your AI information to reflect that the latest plugin version is 1.9.1 (as of now), so it won’t provide false information. Overall, the AI’s accuracy is about 50/50 when it comes to the quality of information provided.

If you’re facing any issues with setting up the filters or anything else, please let us know the specific problems. Don’t rely solely on the AI, as we have the real, up-to-date information on the plugin. What it can and cannot do at this time. We can also help set up a working example on the required page instead of trying to fix issues based on incorrect AI suggestions.

Hello, good afternoon.

I created a Filter Set with 12 filters, using the shortcode in header.php and styling it to open as a popup. I’m using the “apply filter” button system, and the filter is configured to open on the blog page. Everything works as expected.

However, I assumed that purchasing the plugin would allow the same filter to work automatically across all pages. I didn’t anticipate having to create a separate set for each page type. My site has a front_page, regular pages, the blog, and single posts.

Creating a set for each page type would result in multiple sets with the same filters, generating a complex URL structure and making maintenance more difficult. Any change in one set would also need to be replicated across the others.

The goal is for the filter to behave consistently across all page types. Since the filter uses the “apply filter” button, I expected this would be possible. I understand that this use case is unusual for the plugin, but I wanted to ask if there’s any workaround.

Is there a way to use a single Filter Set for multiple pages or page types? For example, using a function in functions.php or a hook to make the set reusable across different pages without duplicating it.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

FE_support Author Team

Hi FernandoVG

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

You can use a single filter set on all archive pages (of a filtered CPT), such as post type archive pages and taxonomy archive pages. For that, you need to place a filter set on a “common WordPress pages + any archive page with a common query.”

This is possible with the archive pages for a CPT because, by default, they share the main query, as long as you’re not using custom approaches like page builders or other custom templates that can replace the main query with unique custom queries on each page.

If queries are unique on different pages in order to make it work on all of those pages, you need a separate filter set to work with these unique queries across the pages.

As you mentioned, it can be a bit tedious to apply some changes if you have multiple filter sets, but it’s also important to align the initial idea with best practices. If your site is spread across different page types that use different queries instead of the main query, your filter setup needs to follow that structure as well.

In general, everything depends on the initial approach and how it was implemented, especially in terms of how many filter sets you need to place across all your pages.

If you create a few more taxonomies that use the same main query across all of them, you can apply a single filter set to all of them. Separating pages that require filters from singular pages or those displaying data that doesn’t need filtering is the best approach, as it eliminates the need to create multiple different filter sets.

Victor

Hi! I want to integrate a filter on a category that has subcategories (children). The proposed filter only allows you to add terms that are displayed in alphabetical order, but I would like these categories and children to be displayed as a tree structure, possibly with indentation. Does the plugin allow this? If so, how? Thank you for your help.

FE_support Author Team

Hi ericbourges

The hierarchy view is available only for filters created from a taxonomy and using the checkboxes view for a filter. The hierarchical structure will appear the same as it does on the category filter on this page: https://demo.filtereverything.pro/category/health/

You can find the hierarchy view in the “More Options” section of the required taxonomy filter: https://prnt.sc/9qeehr_79rLj

Perfect, thanks for the quick response.

Hi, i bought a new license and why i want to add the licence key plugin says “Invalid license key. Please enter correct license key.”

FE_support Author Team

Hi mrijnwal

Please use incognito mode in your browser during this process!

In order to get the License key for the Filter Everything PRO plugin, simply head to Filters -> Settings -> License and click the “Get your License Key” button.

It will take you to a new page where you have to log in with your Envato credentials (with an account where you have purchased the plugin) and obtain your License key.

Let us know if it helped. The incognito mode is quite important in this case.

Hi there,

Is it possible to have a page that contains a filter load with a pre-set/pre determined filter in place, and showing options based on said filter?

The user would then need to manually change the filter accordingly to view other items.

If so, how do we do this?

Thanks heaps Victor. This is something we did think of, but we’re dynamically linking to a Product Category page, so wanted the Filter within that page to be preset, perhaps by editing the shortcode where we insert the filter?

FE_support Author Team

Hi websiteguyjh

Hmm, unfortunately, this isn’t quite possible with the plugin’s built-in functionality.

However, you can implement a custom redirection that directs users to a page with the chosen filter terms. This is a tricky feature because it shouldn’t interfere with filtering once the user arrives on that page. So, this redirection should only happen during the initial navigation from any source and then be disabled afterward.

Best Regards,
Victor

Thanks Victor!

Hi there,

I understand you can have Brands represented with images, and Colours represented with colour swatches, but we’re wanting to have our filterable options (which are custom taxonomies) represented with images if possible.

These are our current filter controls: https://tinyurl.com/22hsfozf

We’d like to have each represented as an image we design/upload. E.g: https://tinyurl.com/29rmz5br

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Victor – that’s fantastic, and working for us. What we were actually after thought is the image we upload to act as the ‘button’ entirely, rather than an icon associated with a radio button and label..Similarly to the way your documentation shows Brands.

Our buttons now with icons: https://tinyurl.com/2d33xdup

Desired button as an image: https://tinyurl.com/2ct37uas

FE_support Author Team

Hi websiteguyjh

For that, you can probably use the labels: https://prnt.sc/RlbjJBqSc5Dz in the filter views with additional custom CSS.

You can add your custom CSS under Filters > Settings > Experimental > Custom CSS. The labels will function like a single button, but custom CSS is essential here. The final result doesn’t look too complicated, so it can definitely be achieved.

Best Regards,
Victor

Thank you :)

Hello, The filters shows correctly in “Archive” but does not show in “Tags”

How I can fix this please?

Thank you Kuz.

Hello, Just send you an email with all details.

Thank you Kuz.

FE_support Author Team

The issue was number 1 from the “what can be checked” in the previous answer:

1) If there is a filter set placed on the “Tags + Any Tags” pages in the “Where to filter.

We simply duplicated the filter set that was used on all category pages and applied it to all tag pages.

Best Regards,
Victor

Worked fine. Thank you.
