I recently purchased your “Discussion on BakeRon – React Native Expo Cakes & Pastry Shop Mobile App Template”, and overall, I’m impressed with the design and structure. However, I’ve encountered a visual issue that needs to be addressed for proper production deployment.

Issue Summary

On devices with notches (e.g., iPhone 13, 14, Pixel 6, etc.), there are black patches or bars appearing in the notch area, particularly at the top of the screen. These black areas are breaking the expected edge-to-edge layout that is standard in modern Expo 53+ projects using the latest React Native and React Navigation conventions.

Observed behavior > On notch devices, the area behind the status bar appears black on several screens. > This happens even when the main view uses a light background. > It looks like the safe-area or translucent system bar configuration isn’t being applied consistently.

Expected behavior > The UI should render edge-to-edge with no black bars. > The safe-area top/bottom insets should be painted with the screen background color. > Status/navigation bars should be properly translucent/transparent to let the screen content show through.

Kindly resolve this issue as soon as possible. I spent 22 dollars, and now I am facing these kinds of childish problems.
