when you are going to provide us the patch for the syntax error oits been almost 5 days we are waiting for the patch to kickstart our launch thanks

Hi, we are working on resolving reported cases and we try to release it by the end of the week. Regards.

It’s been over 48 hours since I sent you a ticket to report that I can’t install my script, it shows me an error, but so far I haven’t received a response. This is not a professional way to work. And it’s been 48 hours, I’m stuck, I can’t install my script. I inform you that I purchased the full package (the mobile application, the bundle plugins and the script). Frankly, if I haven’t installed my script as soon as possible, I request a refund.

Hello,

It seems you didn’t check the CRM after submitting your ticket!

Your ticket was answered in 19 hours, and you didn’t check it!

Regards.

I cant access the CRM, not validating my login and no way to recover the password. Is showing this error:

Sorry, an error occurred during processing the action! Please try again later.

Please contact rocketsoftsolutions@gmail.com we will help you.

Since I updated to version 2.0, I’ve been getting a syntax error. I’ve already deleted everything three times and reinstalled everything following the instructions, but without success. I’ve also already opened a ticket. Spend more than 20h

I am planning to set up an online tutoring marketplace/academy using RocketLMS. We are planning to sell online courses there. What license should I purchase? regular or extended?

Hello, will you have multiple instructors on your marketplace? Will your content providers get commission?

Yes, multiple instructors will be there. What would be the effect on the license based on the above options?

If you have multiple instructors and your instructors will receive a commission for course sales, it requires an Extended license.

Greetings, we have downloaded the latest update to benefit from the new templates for the site, but the copy is encrypted and we were unable to upload it to our version.

Hello,

The source code is open, and you can use and customize it.

Only the license verification process is encrypted.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. I would like to clarify that I already have a valid purchase code and a genuine license for the script.

My issue is not with the license itself, but with the fact that the encrypted part of the code prevents me from running/customizing the updated version properly.

I am not asking to remove the license verification, but I need a solution that allows me to use the new update without facing issues because of the encryption.

Could you please provide guidance or a workaround so I can fully benefit from the latest version?

Best regards.

Hello,

Thank you for understanding our rights. We are committed to improving Rocket LMS over time.

We want to emphasize that the encryption (six files) will not affect the functionality of the project or its customizability. You can host it on your own server and customize the project features according to your requirements.

Since you have support, please feel free to reach out to our team in CRM if you encounter any issues with the update or customization process. We are here to help you.

Regards.

Kindly help resolve this as our website is down after updating to version 2.0. Ticket #23326 – 500 Internal Server Error After Updating to Version 2.0

Hello, can we still change the domain after these encrypted codes? Or will a single domain remain fixed after installation?

Hello,

The source code is open, and you can use and customize it.

Only the license verification process is encrypted.

You can change your domain for unlimited times from your CRM panel. It is an automatic process.

It is a bit different. Please reach out to support after the update.

Sir, you should consider providing the file to customers without encryption so that your user base can grow. For example, we are currently offering our course for free to students in order to increase our user base. Later, once the base has grown, we can start charging small amounts and generate more income—similar to how Microsoft’s Windows also works with pirated OS versions to increase users. We would like to request that in the next update (or even in this current update), you remove the code encryption.

With all due respect, this example is not valid for Codecanyon products.

This approach is for a product like WordPress, where the core is free, and the add-ons are paid.

By the way, the source code is open, and users can customize the product without any limitations.

The only limited part is related to the license verification process that protects our product use rights.

Regards.

“Sir, you are selling add-ons like plugin bundles and app/theme builders, so please keep Rocket LMS without encryption. And if you absolutely must encrypt the code, then lock it to a specific domain. We needed to update the website in version 2, but we can’t do it in front of our users because they are active 24/7. So please bring a system where we can do our work—like updates—on a subdomain, and once everything is ready, we can transfer the files to the main domain and make the website live in just 1 second. Otherwise, users face a lot of problems. We are updating files repeatedly in front of users, which badly affects their experience. Apart from that, the main issue is that you broke my trust by encrypting the files, which was very wrong.”

The source code for our product is open, allowing you to customize it according to your needs.

The only part that is encrypted is the license validation process, which helps prevent license piracy. We handled the process with Envato’s permission, ensuring a safe process.

Please note that the logic of Codecanyon products differs from the products mentioned here.

Our focus is solely on Rocket LMS, as this is the only product we have. We plan to add many more features to Rocket LMS to enhance its value over time. However, it is essential to protect our fundamental rights to maintain our motivation for working on this project.

Best regards.

I know nothing about code encryption but I read all these comments about the risk of malicious code being injected in the future. I have no reasons not to trust you when you say that only licence files are being encrypted, but it is true that my website was hacked a few times right after the first installation, there was a backdoor in the code and someone clearly knew how to make a fake registration and access the core files. If that has happened in version 1, I now fear a lot for version 2.
I haven’t being able to update so far because of errors, and I’m thinking of holding it until you release an un-encrypted version (will you or will you not?). What I’m reading from the users (also about breaking laws) is quite scary.
I want to stay with Rocket, so I hope you can clarify the users’ doubts.

With all respect, we handled the process by getting Envato’s permission (Case ID 3880792).

We are working on a safe community, and it is our responsibility to respect the community rules.

By the way, unfortunately, we have users who are reselling products and ignoring license policies.

About the update, we collected reported errors and are resolving them.

You will be able to get a patch in our CRM.

Again, I have no reasons not to trust you and I’m sure you encrypted the licence in order to protect your intellectual property. I’m standing by for the update flaws…. thanks

Thank you for being so understanding.

We are always responsible for our product and will continue to improve it as we have in the past.

In some situations, users should walk in our shoes to understand what we mean.

We work on updates for several months, and there are some users downloading our items and selling our products at double the price!

Regards.

I am a software developer and I know that encryption with ioncube is safe. But how can we trust that you don’t use malicious code among these codes? before v2 update my trust on you 5out of 5 but now 0

Dear Rocketsoft Team,

As a licensed purchaser of Rocket LMS via Envato Marketplace, I require a clear and detailed explanation regarding the scope and technical implementation of your license encryption system, as the recent updates have introduced ionCube encryption to multiple files beyond what would be reasonably considered “license-only” code.

Technical Questions (Developer Perspective) You have publicly stated that “only license files are encrypted.” However, our technical review of the recent build shows that, in addition to license verification modules, the following core application files are encrypted:

/routes/admin.php

/app/Http/Kernel.php

and potentially other files critical to the application’s routing and execution.

Please confirm:

The complete list of files currently encrypted with ionCube.

The exact technical role of each encrypted file and why it falls under “license” protection.

Whether these files contain logic unrelated to license verification (e.g., routing, middleware registration, access control), which would affect the ability to maintain and customize the product.

In the case of /routes/admin.php and /app/Http/Kernel.php, both files are essential for Laravel-based applications to function and to register routes, middleware, and application lifecycle events.

Why have these critical files been encrypted instead of isolating license checks into separate, dedicated modules?

Does the encryption of these files affect performance, maintainability, or integration with custom modules?

Given that ionCube decoding occurs at runtime, please provide benchmark data demonstrating that the encryption does not introduce measurable performance overhead under realistic production load.

Please confirm whether the license validation mechanism has any ability to disable or impair the functionality of the software remotely (e.g., by server-side license status change without any local modification).

Legal Questions (Consumer Rights Perspective) Please note that the encryption of files beyond the scope of pure license enforcement may raise concerns under multiple jurisdictions’ consumer protection laws:

United Kingdom:

Misrepresentation Act 1967 — regarding prior statements that only license files are encrypted.

Consumer Rights Act 2015 — product must remain as described and fit for purpose; encryption of core operational files may constitute a material change.

Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 — possible misleading omission or action.

European Union:

Digital Content Directive 2019/770 — obligation to maintain functional equivalence with the product as described at the time of sale.

Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC — prohibiting misleading commercial practices.

United States:

FTC Act, Section 5 — prohibition of unfair or deceptive acts or practices.

Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) — if remote disabling without consent is possible.

Australia (Envato’s jurisdiction):

Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010) —

Section 18: Misleading or deceptive conduct.

Section 29: False or misleading representations about goods or services.

Section 54: Guarantee of acceptable quality.

Section 55: Guarantee of fitness for purpose.

Request for Action To ensure transparency and compliance with both technical best practices and applicable laws, please provide:

A full list of all encrypted files in the current release and their specific functions.

A clear technical justification for encrypting any file beyond the core license verification module.

Written confirmation that encrypted files contain no logic enabling remote disabling, impairment, or data exfiltration from the customer’s server.

Clarification on whether the current encryption approach will remain in future updates, or if a separation of license control code from operational core code is planned.

Please note: This request is made to obtain precise technical and legal clarity regarding the operation and scope of the encryption system in Rocket LMS, and will be used to determine further steps regarding compliance with contractual and statutory obligations under the laws of the UK, EU, US, and Australia.

I expect a detailed response addressing each question individually.

Kind regards,

Hello,

Thank you for your comment.

We handled the process with Envato’s permission (Case ID 3880792), and it is only for license privacy.

About kernel, you can customize it using the custom kernel file.

We hope anyone who makes comments about the license protection becomes an Envato author and experiences unfair license distribution.

There are customers reselling licenses against policies, and you definitely know it.

Regards.

Dear Rocketsoft Team,

Thank you for your reply to my previous request. After reviewing your response, it is clear that several of my specific technical and legal questions remain unanswered. I must therefore request a more comprehensive and direct clarification.

1. Unanswered Technical Questions from My First Request

In my initial message, I asked for:

Full list of encrypted files in the current release, with the technical role of each file.

You have not provided this list.

Your reply mentioned /app/Http/Kernel.php and a “custom kernel file” option, but did not address other encrypted files already identified (e.g., /routes/admin.php), nor confirm whether any further application-critical files are encrypted.

Justification for encrypting operational core files beyond the license verification module.

Your reply states the encryption is “only for license privacy” and done “with Envato’s permission (Case ID 3880792)”, yet Kernel.php and routes/admin.php are clearly operational Laravel core integration points, not license-only logic.

Please explain, in technical terms, why these files were encrypted instead of isolating license checks in dedicated, non-core modules.

Assurance regarding remote disabling or impairment.

You did not answer whether the encrypted license mechanism has any ability to disable or impair the software remotely, including via a change in license status on your side.

Please confirm explicitly: yes or no.

Performance benchmarking.

No runtime performance benchmark data has been provided to demonstrate that ionCube encryption of these core files does not introduce measurable performance overhead under realistic production load.

2. Technical Position (Developer’s Perspective)

As you know, in a Laravel-based application:

/app/Http/Kernel.php is the central HTTP kernel, responsible for registering middleware, managing request lifecycle, and core application bootstrapping.

/routes/admin.php defines admin route definitions, essential for the functioning of the admin panel.

Encrypting these files directly impacts:

Debugging and maintainability.

Integration with custom modules.

Transparency for security audits.

This goes beyond “license privacy” and affects the operational integrity of the purchased product.

3. Legal and Policy Position (Jurisdictions: UK, EU, US, Australia)

Envato Marketplace Policy Compliance

Envato’s general policy for code categories requires that “source code is provided and editable” for buyers.

Please provide an official, public reference from Envato that confirms permission to encrypt core operational files in a PHP/Laravel product. A private Case ID alone is insufficient for verification.

United Kingdom

Misrepresentation Act 1967: Statements that “only license files are encrypted” must be factually correct; evidence shows otherwise.

Consumer Rights Act 2015: Digital content must match the description and remain fit for purpose; encrypting core operational files without disclosure may constitute a material change.

European Union

Directive (EU) 2019/770 (Digital Content Directive): Obligation to maintain functionality as described at purchase.

Directive 2005/29/EC (Unfair Commercial Practices Directive): Prohibits misleading omissions and actions.

United States

FTC Act, Section 5: Prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices.

Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. §1030): Relevant if remote disablement without consent is possible.

Australia (Envato’s jurisdiction)

Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010):

Section 18 — misleading or deceptive conduct.

Section 29 — false or misleading representations.

Section 54 — guarantee of acceptable quality.

4. Specific Requests for This Follow-Up

To resolve this matter transparently and in compliance with both Envato policy and applicable law, please provide:

A complete, verifiable list of all encrypted files in the current release, with a description of their purpose and justification for encryption.

Technical explanation for why Kernel.php, routes/admin.php, and any similar files were encrypted rather than isolating license logic.

Explicit confirmation (yes/no) whether the license mechanism can remotely disable or impair the software.

Performance benchmarks showing the effect of ionCube encryption on these files under realistic load.

Public Envato reference confirming permission to encrypt core operational files in PHP code items, to validate your Case ID 3880792 statement.

Please provide a point-by-point reply addressing each question above directly. Failure to provide clear and complete answers may require escalation of this matter to Envato support and relevant consumer protection authorities in multiple jurisdictions.

Kind regards,

Hello,

We tried to provide further information in the previous response to ensure the code functionality and customizability won’t be affected.

As you know, some technical and private information can’t be posted publicly for some reasons.

If you are interested, you can contact rocketsoftsolutions@gmail.com

Subject: Critical Issues and Missing Features After Recent Update

I was hesitant to write this, but I feel I have been left with no choice. A partial update was deployed several days ago, and we are still awaiting a resolution. I can understand minor bugs appearing after an update, but the current situation goes far beyond that.

First and foremost, you have switched to a multi-theme system. While this is acceptable in principle, the free design_1 theme you’ve provided was released in a half-finished state. This appears to be a tactic to compel users to purchase the premium theme package. I must ask, why does your free theme lack the following essential sections on the homepage?

A section to display Course Bundles.

Any section to feature content from the Forum.

A section for Upcoming Courses.

A dedicated section for Discounted Courses.

The ability to showcase Store Products on the homepage.

A clear way to display Subscription Plans on the homepage. How are we supposed to promote them?

Where are the areas for the Instructor Finder, Video Section, Reward Points System, Organizations, Meeting Reservation Announcements, and Student Testimonials? Why can’t we feature these on the homepage?

Are you familiar with how a multi-theme system should work? Typically, you provide a fully functional default theme to your customers. Then, you offer alternative themes or a theme builder as optional purchases. Customers who want them can buy them; those who don’t can continue using the complete, default theme.

Regarding the technical errors:

Payment Gateway transactions are failing with a “Header may not contain more than a single header, new line detected” error. This is because the system is still trying to locate files in the old default theme directory.

Solution: You need to update the paths in the /app/PaymentChannels/Drivers directory to point to the correct view files. For example: web.cart.channels.modul1.

When trying to send a Bulk Email Newsletter from the admin panel, it throws a View [web.default.emails.notification] not found error.

Reason: The mailer is still looking for blade files in the old /resources/views/web/default/emails directory. Please correct the file paths or add the missing files to the new structure.

When a new student registers on the site, they encounter a similar error, and the process fails: View [web.default.emails.confirmCode] not found.

Solution: The cause is the same as in point #2.

When creating new content such as Blog posts, Pages, or Courses, the form submission fails with an error indicating the form is sent using GET instead of POST.

Solution: This is also caused by outdated dependencies still referencing files within the old /resources/views/web/default/ directory. Please update all related paths and dependencies.

Clicking on the Forum link results in a license error, even though we own the Universal Plugins Bundle for Rocket LMS.

Although Course Privacy is disabled in the General Settings, courses are still not visible to visitors.

Solution: Please correct the relevant controllers in the /resources/views/design_1/web/courses/show directory.

Course Bundles are not displayed on any of the course listing pages (e.g., /classes or /classes?sort=newest).

Why? The “Course Bundles” filter must be urgently added to these pages. We cannot sell courses if we cannot run campaigns.

In conclusion, are you aware of the financial damage you have inflicted upon your customers over the past several days due to these unresolved issues?

Furthermore, my investigation has uncovered many more bugs. I have documented these issues in Support Ticket #23201, and you can contact me there if you have any questions. I am willing to assist where I can, but these deficiencies must be rectified immediately.

If I cannot sell courses, I cannot generate revenue. If I cannot conduct live classes, I lose income. If I cannot send notifications to students before a class, it leads to a communication breakdown, which also results in financial loss. This is without even mentioning the negative impact on SEO.

I hope you will take this well-intentioned feedback seriously.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

Please create a ticket in CRM since your message is long.

Certain items, such as bundles, require more communication to clarify their logic.

Our team will review it with you.

Regards.

I already stated this in my request. The problem is that you still haven’t taken any action after all this time.

Hello,

As you know, we recently released an update, so we are experiencing a load of support.

You will get the answer for all of tickets.

Regards.

Hi rocketsoft, I sent you a ticket a few days ago but you have not responded to my ticket. Here is the Ticket #23219. Please take a look and respond.

Thanks.

Hi, sorry for load of the tickets. Your tickets will be reviewed by our team.

Hi, Mobile view has several responsiveness issues, and the home page shows PHP errors along with other problems.

Surely, your tickets will be reviewed by our team. For your information, we have collected reported issues and are resolving them. We will release a patch and you will be able to install it.

Could you let me know the expected timeline for fixing this bug?

I think the final patch will be available until the end of the week.
