You can redirect the original landing page to a custom one from the admin panel – settings – Custom index page URL field.

Dear Fabian, you do many updates and impletment new functions, its ok. But did you know 3 versions before you add new settings to admin panel about “Preview chart days” for dashboard chart. And its take 30 days from default value. Bcz basic users cant check update code clearly.

Hi, I have a question, please. I am thinking of going SAAS with the service, but I was trying to add custom domains, and it is not working.
Mainly, it is an SSL problem; when we use a custom domain, it will be https automatically. It also shows an SSL error since the new custom domain has no SSL cert.
so I tried with cloudflare, I added the custom domain there, it is secure now, but non of the links will work, it just redirects to the main domain home page.
I am using my own VPS
Any idea what is going on?

Custom domains are 100% working, not sure what is your SSL cert setup with Cloudflare, as I never used it for such service – but if the SSL certificate is properly setup with your host provider, then it will definitely work.

When you issue an SSL, you should point the domain IP to the host issuing the SSL. How, then, will I point the domain to the short link script server?!

This is a core feature of the tool. The documentation is too basic regarding this feature.
The documentation can not cover all the possibilities of all the admin panels of hosts out there.

If you are on your custom VPS, then you add the custom domain as with any normal domain you want to attach to it, issue an SSL and point the files to your 66biolinks installation.

If you have hundreds of users who submit custom domains daily, then you can create a custom server implementation that does this process automatically server side and works with the 66biolinks API endpoints.
Servers limit by default such thing, as it is not safe to automatically attach all domains without confirmation in some way that the domain is authentic.
You can configure Apache’s default configuration to accept any domain and open the default website, and it works perfectly.
I also made it work perfectly with another script here, “Premium URL shortener.”
I did it with your script, and it redirected correctly. I showed it to you, but I don’t know why the link doesn’t open. It tells me the link doesn’t exist; there is still a missing piece here. I will try to find it out.
I can now add hundreds of domains to the script without adding to the server, and the links are redirecting correctly to the script, but they are not opening. This is what I am talking about.
There is no need to add every single domain to the server. We do this in case of shared hosting or when using a web hosting panel.

I don’t think so.
When the user points to a domain, it means they have access to the DNS, and you, as a service, are providing this option, like any other URL shortener, like Bitly and Rebrandly.
I can know your DNS just by pinging your website, I can then attach my “porn-name.com” domain and have an SSL provided by you for free and not only damage your site reputation, but I can also completely ban your SSL service if I add all my imaginary subdomains to your own site by resource exhaustion.
Servers do not have this feature by default for a reason. But if you “dont think so”, you should do what you think.

Users are getting an SSL with Cloudflare or other services and pointing only the domain to our CNAME or IP, which anyone can do.
As you mentioned, we can get any IP of any website and point any domain to it.
So, they have nothing to do with my SSL provider.
I am not saying it is 100% Safe. The internet is full of vulnerabilities.
I am saying there should be a way for users to connect their domains without me manually adding each domain.
Like other link-shortening services do.

I do not know how those platforms are working in the backend with those “shop” features, so I can not confirm this. The payment blocks features allow your users to add paid products and get paid directly from their biolink page with payment gateway integrations.

Back again with another request, and thanks again for your continuous improvements to BioLink! This request is for SEO and usability.
You know how each block is wrapped in a tag? It’d be useful if you could add an option for us to wrap these blocks with semantic <section> tags so we could tell search engines what’s the meaning of the block.
<section> lets us give meaning to the structure of the biolink page, improving how search engines and assistive technologies understand the content. Unfortunately we can’t get that level of structure with ”< div >” alone.
Maybe a new option to each block’s settings (those that contain content with meaning like markdown or custom html etc.), allowing users to check a box indicating that the block should be wrapped in a <section> tag. Alongside this, a field could be provided to let users name the section for clarity and organization (e.g., “About Us Section”). Or alternatively a global option in settings to check when all blocks should be wrapped in sections automatically, the names default to the block name or the field provided in the individual block settings we could change when editing a block?

Feature Request: Custom HTML Block Naming Field
First, I want to thank you for the awesome work on BioLink! It’s incredibly flexible and the Custom HTML block gives so many possibilities I’m using.
It’d be much easier to use multiple Custom HTML blocks if we could name them. Currently, all Custom HTML blocks appear in the block list with the same label: “Custom HTML.” - everytime I go to edit my blocks it takes more time than I’d like to edit the right one I’m looking for.
It’d be great if you could add a field to the Custom HTML block (like “Title” or “Description”) that would allow use to make a unique name for it in the block list view. For example, I could call one “Survey Form” and another “Embed Code” to make easier to find them. BTW, the icon already helps us know it’s custom html, but the field would help out when we use more than one.
