It appears as though there’s a problem with FAQ sorting. I’ve changed the sort order by category, but the order of the FAQs doesn’t change.
There actually seems to be a few issues. If I disable the search box, the + and – mass open buttons don’t work. If I enable the search box, they work.
The row_open=”1” feature doesn’t seem to work at all, even with the search box enabled.
And the category-wise sorting doesn’t seem to work either, as I previously mentioned.
It could be a theme or plugin conflict of course. Tonight I will do some testing to see if I can find the cause of the problem.
This looks like an actual bug with the plugin. Just disabled ALL plugins and swapped to a default WP theme, and it’s still happening.
You might want to take a look at it.
Actually, you can see that there is a problem with the plugin on your demo site. Check this demo: https://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/baf/custom-faq-row-opened/. An FAQ should be opened on page load, but none are, so that is definitely a bug.
If you view this example on your demo site, you will see that if the search box is missing, the ”+” and ”-” buttons don’t work, exactly as I said: https://projects.bluewindlab.net/wpplugin/baf/faqs-with-out-search-box/.
There are definitely a few problems with the latest version of the plugin.

As well as the above mentioned issues, the FAQ count is wrong when suggested searches are added. There are eight FAQs that have ‘SEO’ in them, but “Found 16 FAQs” appears below the search box. It seems to double the actual amount of FAQs found.
When will these issues be resolved? It has been several months now.

Your plugins interfere with rankmath seo plugin. Unable to add a no-follow attribute to articles When you click on add no-follow through seo plugins or any other no-follow plugins out there it will not save it and the attribute will not applies.

Our FAQ stopped working. The down arrow in questions does not load and you can´t click on a question. When I refresh the page it works but if I go to another page and back to the FAQ it does not work?

The latest version of your plugin conflicts with many other plugins that use tabbed navigation, such as Advanced Database Cleaner and Code Profiler.
When your plugin is installed, the tabbed navigation of other plugins stops working. When your plugin is removed, they work.

Yes I’m using the latest version, v2.0.8. Definitely a conflict with several plugins. You can test it for yourself. Install your FAQ plugin, then download and install this free plugin https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-database-cleaner/ and then try and use it.
I’ve just gone through a site disabling every plugin to find the cause of the problem, and when I deactivate yours, tabbed navigation works. Definitely a conflict there.

The addons folder is missing from the latest update.
In the changelog, it says that Ajaxified Search addon was updated to v1.1.0. But it’s not in the package.
Ah I see. You have to go to the Plugin Addons screen now and download it from there.

Single FAQ posts have broken feed links, which result in 404 error pages.
I can confirm that this is a bug.
Many themes add a comment feed URL for each custom post type, with ”/feed” at the end of the URL. However, BWL Advanced FAQ posts have not been correctly configured to display these feeds.

On line 337 of bwl_advanced_faq_manager.php, has_archive should be set to “true” rather than “false”. WordPress doesn’t add rewrite rules for feeds if the custom post type doesn’t have an archive, which results in lots of 404 errors.

@elliottbenzie I’ve just checked my installation using Google’s structured data testing tool, and whenever I add an FAQ block it definitely does output schema markup. It’s working correctly.
Check that your SEO plugin isn’t stripping out the schema markup.
Love this plugin. But I would like to be able to exclude certain categories from being found by the Ajaxified Search addon. Any chance that will be added in a future release?
I have FAQs on service pages and long blog posts, but ideally I only want people to search service page FAQs from anywhere on the site. I don’t want blog post FAQs to appear.

Please enable schema markup and make it compatible with Seo plugin and structural data. Get index in search.
Also, I noticed the single faq shortcode is not clicking and dropping down on mobile. Allow it to be compatible on mobile devices very well.
Enable option to disable star rating. Make the single faq answers to be closed by default.
Ability to toggle it on and off from the settings.
More customization
Every other functions of the plugin is great.
For now the topic shortcode do the job for me. Enable Google faq schema ASAP!

I am surprised that the plugin doesn’t have a Google supported FAQ schema. Without this, FAQ results don’t show up in google as rich results. Is this something you can add?
