i had change my website domain once, and one of my website doesnt work , may i change the domains i bind with my license key?
Hi sunnydaysunny
If you mean that you have applied license on two sites already, and you cannot activate it on the needed one then we can deactivate it. All you need to do is send the license key via PM – https://codecanyon.net/user/fe_support

Can I customise it to filter users? We want to be able to search and filter users, based on user meta data.
Something similar to the edit query filter here: https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/action-filter-reference/
Hi khill22
Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
If you create CPT users and display the data with the help of WP_Query, then you can filter them on the front by custom fields data.

Hello
We are testing the filter with our staging site on this page: https://woocommerce-1206265-4541632.cloudwaysapps.com/en/start/sex-toys-for-men/cock-rings/cock-rings-without-vibration/None of the filters contain any products to filter and when a number is entered into the price filter it leads to a 404. Also, in the Filter Set editor the And what to filter field offers no options. It simply displays “select Query” there.
All this is also the case on our live site https://basics4joy.de where Filter Everything is currently not active.
How can we implement working filters for our product pages, where groups of pages offer different filters depending on the type of products shown? I suppose you will need admin access. How can I best provide you with that info?
Thank you for your help
Michael
Hi Michael
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?

Hi Michael
We have checked the site, it took quite a lot of time as we switched the themes, and turned off the plugins. And even created a testing page. And the issue is in the translate press plugin. It is causing the conflict and simply does not display any queries on the needed pages. We turned it off and placed the filter on your page with the “always hide filter terms” option turned on in order to see all available filter terms and it is working.

Hi Victor
Thank you for all your effort. However, Translatepress is essential to the website, since we also must have a German and Dutch version . Is there no other way to use Filter Everything? Otherwise we unfortunately won’t be able to use the plugin.
Kind regards Michael
Hi Michael
Unfortunately, the Translatepress is not compatible with our plugin yet. There is WPML which is compatible with our plugin and we’d recommend it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi Victor
Yes, I had feared as much. WPML is unfortunately not an option, as we use Deepl for automatic translation and have also already invested heavily in manual fine tuning of translations. Since we are sadly not able to use your plugin, is there a possibility for a refund?
Kind regards Michael
Hi Michael
Well, you always can keep it for the other sites, as this is a lifetime license with lifetime updates. So it definitely won’t lay there without the ability to use new versions, and at some point maybe it’ll become compatible with translatepress.
In general, a refund is possible with the appropriate form from the account where the plugin was purchased. Please note, that the support team is not working with the refunds.

I made two videos, where it is clearly shown how the filter behaves. 1) I am logged under admin user and with active your plugin. Everything is working 2) Without login user or login other then admin – filtr doesn’t work.
Here is link on the video by “uschovna”. The total size of the video is approx. 220 mb https://www.uschovna.cz/zasilka/QA463XBIR8RGKJY8-UDN/Hi Duchacek
1) More likely there were some changes on the pages. Try to go to the filter set settings and hit update, if it won’t work then try it with another query in the “And what to filter”.
2) Can be objected cache issue, as it is caching requests and issues are appearing like that.
3) If you have a plugin for different user roles, it can cause such an issue. So we suggest checking those things.
Let us know if you were able to fix the problem by following the recommendations above.
Best Regards,
- Victor
1) I also tried creating a new filter on diferent page and stil doesn’t it work. The filter always works only under the administrator account.
2) I don’t know how to solve this? But I didn’t make any settings to the cache issue. Even if I clear the cache and turn off caching, the problem still persists. 3) I don’t use any role plugins, nor have I changed anything regarding set roles.
I haven’t done anything special since it stopped working, other than updating the plugin.
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
- Victor
I already sent the credentials
Please remove this for a time when we’ll try to fix it or add Ukraine there as well.
“Zakazan pristup mimo SK a CZ. skrze .htaccess povolte svou IP”

sorry.. I fixed it
Hi Duchacek
If you turn off this pack of user membership roles plugins – https://prnt.sc/bQz4XEumMrfn and also turn off WP Rocked and hit update it will work as it should.
Those user members’ roles plugins are causing the issue, so perhaps it would be better to direct this question to their support.

I updated my site from staging and now it just says plugin is locked.
How do I manage my staging servers myself?
Thank you
Hi cdinca
You need to enter the license key in the Filters -> Settings -> License. If you have activated it on staging sites, go to the filters -> settings -> license and deactivate it from there in order to activate it on the needed sites.

Hi,
I have a question regarding using Filter Everything with a supplement shop that features non-purchasable products. I’d like to implement filters for users to easily explore products by type (Capsule, Liquid, etc.), category (Weight Loss, Vitamin, Herbal, etc.), and audience (Men, Women, Kids).
To achieve this, I’m unsure whether to use:
Product Attributes Tags Categories
Any guidance on the most effective approach for this scenario would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and support!
Hi marketingd237
The best practices here are like this:
1) For any attributes you use separated Prdocut -> Attributes. For example, RAM, CPU, Size, Color, Weight, and so on. So you can create a separate filter with those attributes. So you create them in the Products -> Attributes and then apply them to your products.
2) Categories can be used for general things, like Cars, Bikes, Phones, and Laptops, just to choose a general interest.
3) Tags can be the same approach as categories, or you can make something special from them, like brands if you do not have brands, brands can also be added as attributes. Just do not put everything in categories and tags as then you won’t separate it by multiple filters.

Can I order a query loop by distance with the sorting widget?
I have this page: https://hittaklinik.se/behandling/tear-trough/ It lists clinics in a query loop for different treatments.
It uses ACF map where I can specify location. The meta key is address_google_maps. This specific field is not displayed on frontend. I have added the meta fields latitude and longitude manually. The post type for clinics is called klinik.
I want to order the posts on distance. Any ideas on how I can achieve this?
Hi linus500
Technically, if you create a custom field distance with the numerical values only, then you can create a sorting by that numerical meta key. Then it could order your posts by that value.

Hi, do you by any chance have a email where i can ask for your support because i have a couple of questions. I’ve bought the plugin with our business account. Do you have a global email where we can contact you?
Hi Samaryan
According to the support guidelines – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/31634508/support email support is not provided, and only one issue per request, when it is resolved, you can re-apply with a second issue. In order to eliminate confusion and make support more efficient and fair for all customers.
The email is used only for sharing private links and credentials, the things that you do not want to share publicly. So you can do it via PM – https://codecanyon.net/user/fe_support
Also, please note that the request must be made from the account in which the plugin was purchased so that we can provide support on the issue.

hello,
how to choose a taxonomy like product categories multiple times for different filter in a filter set, because i want to include specific categories in one filter only. this function only gives me one choice, i have more than 50 categories, but i want to organize them by different filters in one filter set ( not create more sets or more filter widgets, because i want them to pop up on mobile also)
patrick yang
Hi Patrick Yang
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
You need to create in Products -> Attributes, separate attributes like size, colors, RAM, and so on and add terms for them, then you can create from each attribute a filter.
What you trying to do is not a good practice, and it will not work as separate filters. You can try to display multiple filter sets on one page, where each of them will use include/exclude functionality in order to add only the needed categories. But it will cause issues with radio buttons, dropdowns, and so on. Also in mobile mode, they all will have each mobile button as they are separate entities instead of one filter set.
That’s why we are recommending following the first example with separate attributes for each filter.

Hi, quick question.
Is there any way to speed up ajax filtering? It’s taking about 4 or 5 seconds to update results every time.
My site speed is doing well but it’s just the ajax filtering taking too long. What can I do?
Hi creamen
You can try to use OPCache, Redis/Memcache in order to speed up filtering. But more likely the issue here is that the server not responding as fast as it should in order to reduce the filtering time. As the request is sent to the server and waiting for a response, it takes about 5sec so you might want to check that. But the key factor here is the server hardware and latency.

Hello,
I am using the “color swatches for filters” feature for a brand taxonomy. The image is loading as a swatch which is square but I need the rectangle aspect ratio 70×40 as a brand. How do I configure the filter to display as a brand image not a swatch image? You can see the issue here https://www.techtownforum.com/knowledge-base/category/equipment-appliances/br-accutemp/
Hi edkestler
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
You can try this code example you need to place it in your functions.php file of the theme or you can use the code snippet plugin:
function custom_swatches_width_height( $dimensions ) {
// Modify width and height here as needed.
$dimensions['width'] = 100;
$dimensions['height'] = 60;
return $dimensions;
}
add_filter( 'wpc_swatches_width_height', 'custom_swatches_width_height' );
Or this type of CSS:
li.wpc-term-item label span.wpc-term-swatch, .wpc-term-swatch-wrapper {
width: 26px;
min-width: 43px;
height: 60px;
}

Dear Victor, We’d like to add possibility to sort filtered results by the date they were created (for Woo products) this is – from newest to oldest and vice versa. How can we achieve this? We’ve tried meta fields date, post_date, post_date_gmt but non of them works – any suggestions? Best regards
Hi theeconomist
Well, the simple date in the sorting widget should work – https://prnt.sc/eqKvZvB-dSHJ the only reason why it can not work is when you apply some sorting by default on products, so it can cause issues.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thanks – indeed, changing Woo sorting to default makes the date sorting in FEP work but then upon entering the shop sorting doesn’t make sens (Woo default sorting this is) – is there a way have products filtered by popularity (we had it as a default for Woo) and have the sorting newest/oldest operational?
The only thing that you can do is change the link to the shop let’s say from mystie.com/shop/ to mysite.com/shop/?ordr=date
Well, when you choose the needed sorting option the URL will be updated so you can use it for the shop URL.
Best Regards,
- Victor
All clear now, many thanks Victor!
Is it possible to open the filters with preset selections?
I want my custom-post ‘children stories’ pre-selected on the language of the page. The user then sees stories in their language, but can still select other languages as well.
Hi jacofok
Only by using the URL, so if you have a site with a menu in the header, for example, home/shop/about/... Then you can write a custom code that will modify the let’s say shop link URL including the necessary selected filters, you can just select the filters you want and copy and paste that URL into your custom code. Or any other ideas, it all depends on creativity at this stage. There are no settings in the plugin to make it work this way.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Ok, thank you. Will not work on my current configuration, but I will see what I can tweak.
Hello!
When filtering by product category, the filter does not display newly added categories. There is also a problem with the counter when adding a product to a category, it displays the old value. Turning it on and off AJAX doesn’t solve the problem. What could this be related to?
https://favory.kz/catalog/type-rings/Thank You!
Hi lightsummer2012
If you have any cache plugins try to clear all of the cache (and turn off object cache), and go to the filter set and hit the update button, then check it. If it won’t work try placing the filter set on a certain category page to see if it will display everything correctly.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?

Can you please check if everything is shown correctly now?
Best Regards,

Yes, everything is fine now. What did I do wrong?
Not exactly sure, we just created the filter with the sale status and hit update, and it showed everything correctly, then we just deleted it and it showed correctly afterward as well. Looked like the filter terms weren’t updated correctly. If it will happen again let us know.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Ok. Thank you!
Hi! Unfortunately, the problem has not been solved.
Hi lightsummer2012
Do you mean that the issue appeared once more? If this is the case are credentials still working so we can get access to the site?

Hello, I am having issues with the Filter not showing up on my home page. The Filter Set is correctly set to be available on that page, and the “what to filter” query is also correct. On another page and another Filter Set, things are fine. I’m using Brizy as a page builder. How can I send you the site’s URL in a private way? Thanks!
Hi ataraire
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Here is what you can try in order to display it on the homepage. In the where to filter try to choose “Common WordPress pages + Homepage” or in other cases depending on the theme you can choose “Pages + Name of the needed page”. Let us know if it helped to display it on the homepage.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hello, Yes I understand this, as I wrote, this is setup correctly. I can see the correct query on the “And what to filter?” field:
https://share.zight.com/Wnu8ZbdoHowever, in the Page Builder, it says No one Filter Set is related to this page:
https://share.zight.com/BluvROE0And indeed no Filter in the rendered page:

Hi ataraire

Hi There,
I haven’t purchase your plugin yet but I wanted to check if I can filter by year in checkboxes? The date field is either post created date or a custom ACF field date.
Also, does your plugin work with Avada theme too?
Thanks, Queenie
Hi Queenie
Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
Well, you can filter by the post date, and it will use the date picker filter. But what you can do is just create a custom field with the checkboxes (and the needed dates as options), or text one, and add your data there so you can apply it to the posts and create a filter by that custom field meta key, in this case, it will show it as checkboxes.
Yes, it is working with Avada theme.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thanks!
Hi there!
I have a couple questions in regards to the Filter Everything plugin. Firstly, To offer different filter categories, do those have to be set up as attributes?
Secondly, I am trying to set filter everything up on my staging website prior to taking it live and, for some reason, the filter is not communicating with my store. I tried setting up the filter via widget and was unable to do so, so instead I added the short code, [fe_widget].
Here is the page for reference: https://voxnutrition.com/staging/2333/shop/
Hi marketingd237
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Please write only one problem/issue/task per comment – https://codecanyon.net/item/filter-everything-wordpress-woocommerce-filter/31634508/support when the issue is resolved we can move to another one. In order to remove confusion and follow the support guidelines. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
1) Please provide a detailed description of this and what is your final goals. “To offer different filter categories, do those have to be set up as attributes?”
2) As we understand, you have placed the filter set on the specific page and the filters are not filtering your posts. If this is the issue, go to the filter set, and in the “And what to filter?” choose another query and hit update, then go to the page with the filter and test it. Do not forget to refresh the page before testing.
Let us know if it worked and if the filter started filtering posts on your page.

Filter not working within Elementor Archive Template
I’m getting this error, but I’m quite sure I’ve set everything up correctly.
No one Filter Set is related to this page. You can configure it in the Filter Set -> “Where to filter?” field.https://snipboard.io/sr7V8J.jpg
I can only imagine it has to do with how the page is built/set up…
How the page works: 1) The page url is https://www.learningtheharp.com/groups/members-only/ which is a group on our website created by the BuddyBoss plugin. 2) Within that group, there is a tab called “Skills Library” which actually makes the full URL into https://www.learningtheharp.com/groups/members-only/skills-library/ 3) The content of that tab is an Elementor template, which is displayed using a shortcode. 4) Within that Elementor template, there is a heading, a paragraph, your filter widget (which I added using the [fe_widget] shortcode), and an Elementor Posts widget which is what I want to filter. The post widget is displaying a custom post type selected called “Skills Video”
Here is how the filter set is setup https://snipboard.io/5nuQ4m.jpg https://snipboard.io/sOVyuB.jpg https://snipboard.io/biEFuI.jpg https://snipboard.io/RpGB0u.jpgI can obviously see there’s some kind of issue with the part about:
And what to filter?
Determines what exactly the Posts list (WP_Query) on a page should be filtered
However, there are no options in that dropdown list.
The only way I can get anything in that dropdown list is if I change from “Post Types > Pages” to “Taxonomy > Skills Video Categories” within the “Where to filter?” section, and then that shows “Skill_videos query. Main Query” within the dropdown:
https://snipboard.io/Qs4Za7.jpgBut it still doesn’t fix the front end
So I’m feeling rather stuck and have no idea how to get this filter to work. If there was a Post Type option in that “Where to filter” section of “Elementor Template” then that might work? I don’t know. Perhaps you have some ideas?

What could be the problem and how can that be solved?
Hi rezwiebel
We have checked the request, it looks slightly modified, perhaps it is affected by some other plugin or custom code. But in general, the more filters you have and the more you apply them in order to filter your posts, the more server resources it will take, as there is no other way around.
So, the problem here is not in the request itself, but in the number of filters that can work according to the capabilities of your server.
In this case, this query fully meets the intention of filtering by multiple filters at the same time, and unfortunately, the server hardware is not enough to work with them at the same time. So you might want to update it for better specs in order to cover your needs.
Best Regards,
- Victor
I have a multilingual site. I use your module with WooCommerce and WPML.
I encountered a bug with one of the filters.
In my “filter set,” I had a “product categories” filter.
Screenshot: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/48900078?key=531519739581186beaa8caf71b4e2fb0
In French, when displaying the “pure” range, we could see 7 items, but when switching to another language (Dutch, for example), only 5 products were visible (the 2 most recently created products were not included). (I should mention that the native WooCommerce category pages correctly display 7 items in all languages).
Unfortunately, I deleted the “product categories” filter and tried to recreate it. However, I encountered the following error: Error: This prefix is not allowed because it matches a taxonomy or term name already used on your site. Please use a different prefix.
Additionally, the “URL Prefix” field is disabled, and its value cannot be changed.
Screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/2d37bjt6
Therefore, it is impossible to create a filter for product categories. Is it possible to get a fix for this issue?
Hi talaios
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Also, please send the link to the page where you have this issue so we can test it there.

Hello, I’ve sent you the login details and the link to the problematic page. Regards.
Hi talaios
We have checked the site, and everything is correct. The issue here is that two of them are drafts – https://prnt.sc/43trov0FXaZp if you change that instead of 5 you will see all 7
Best Regards,

Many thanks for your reply.
Yesterday, I deleted my “product categories” filter but I can’t recreate it. I have an error message.
Error: This prefix is not allowed because it matches a taxonomy or term name already used on your site. Please use a different prefix.
How can I fix this?

As to this issue, is more likely you have some filters in the trash, you need to delete everything from there and try it one more time. Unfortunately, the credentials are not working anymore to check it. If you make the credentials work again, we could check it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thank you for your reply. I think you answered my question. Regards.
