how can I turn on notifications if user sends a msg to seller or seller responds back to user in an ordinary listing where it says CONTACT SELLER. right now no notification is being sent once the user send a msg to seller. can you please help with it?

There is a “Send me an email when someone send me a message” option in the user profile settings. Users can enable this option if they wish to receive emails.

Regarding the approval of edited products, we plan to add an option that will require admin approval for changes made to a product’s general information without disabling the product. We cannot make a promise at this moment, but we are planning to add this feature in the next update.

Thank you for your interest in our Modesy script.
You can enable the “Approve Products Before Publishing” option to review product listings before they are published on your site. However, currently, this option is not available for edited products. This means that after a vendor adds a product listing and you approve it, they can later edit this product listing without your approval.
We are aware of this issue. While we cannot make any promises at this moment, we plan to add an option that will require admin approval for changes made to a product’s general information without disabling the product. This will likely cover basic product information such as product title, description, images, etc.
Until we add this feature, we do not think this will cause a serious issue. If you enable the “Vendor Verification System” and “Request Documents from Vendors to Open a Store” options from the admin panel, you will be able to check the information of vendor candidates and select the serious, relatively trustworthy ones. However, if you disable the “Vendor Verification System” and allow all users to add products, the risk of them not following the rules of your site would be higher.
If you want to have the admin approval for edited products feature before your purchase, you can follow our updates. We are considering adding this feature.

Hi, our script shows the similar products by their categories. In order to do what you want, a system such as data mining needs to be added, or a similar system. However, such systems are generally only found on shopping sites owned by large companies. We have no plans to work on such advanced features for now. Also, our codes are open source and if you need this feature, you can edit the codes or work with a developer. Thanks.

If you take a look at the “Add Product” section of the vendor dashboard on our demo site, you can see the available listing types. For service listings, vendors can choose the “Add a Product or Service as an Ordinary Listing” option to add their service advertisements without the buy option. If they choose this option, there will be a “Contact Seller” button on the product page. Please take a look at this listing on our demo site as an example: https://modesy.codingest.com/modern-grey-couch-and-pillows-43 When a potential customer clicks on this “Contact Seller” button, they can send a message to the vendor and open a private chat. They can discuss the terms through this chat and agree on the payment method between themselves.

Unfortunately, this option is not available. The Modesy script is primarily designed for the sale of products. For service listings, there is currently only the option to add them as ordinary listings without the buy option.

We tested our script with approximately 200,000 products and 50,000 categories, and it works without any issues.
However, it is challenging to determine the number of active users who can use the script simultaneously, as this depends on your server as well. Factors such as processor speed and other server features can affect performance. A powerful VPS server can handle a higher capacity more efficiently. We try to use as few database queries as possible to improve the capacity of the system.
Additionally, if you add a large number of products, such as 100,000, you can enable the cache system from the Admin panel to improve site speed. Using LiteSpeed cache on your server will also enhance site performance.

Could you please provide more details about your question? In the Modesy script, all sellers manage their own shipping options and select the regions where they want to sell their products. Sellers can choose multiple regions if they wish to sell in more than one area. However, classified ads listings are not available for sale on the site. If a seller selects the “Add a Product or Service as an Ordinary Listing” option, they are only advertising their products and not selling them through the site. Therefore, we are unsure what you mean by “selling in multiple locations” and “required for classified ads”.

Thank you! I need to hide Product’s Price min or max, and Cart, wishlist, Sell Now button in home page, since I don’t need them. and replace Category with a new word. Are these configurable?
You are welcome! There are some system settings in the “Preferences/System” section of the admin panel. You can remove the price filter, “Sell Now” and ’’Cart’’ buttons by disabling all of these settings and disabling the price option in the “Settings/Product Settings/Classified Ads” section. If you want to add external links to your listings, you can choose to enable only the ’’Classified Ads’’ setting in the “Preferences/System” section. However, the “Wishlist” can be used for all types of products, so there is no option to remove it.
You can replace the word “Category” with a new word. To do this, go to the “Settings/Language Settings” section of the admin panel, click on “Edit Translations”, and search for the word you wish to change.

Is it for sellers to promote to other sells to earn money?
Or is it for anyone to sign up as an affiliate on the website and promote ANY PRODUCT within the site?

It will be for all users. If the affiliate program has been activated (by the Admin or the seller, the Admin will determine this), a normal user can register to the affiliate program for the products included in the program, create their own affiliate links for any product and share these links wherever they want. If someone clicks on this link and buys a product, this user earns a profit from this sale equal to the commission determined by the Admin or the seller. Additionally, a discount rate can be added for products included in the affiliate program. In other words, we plan to add a comprehensive affiliate system that can have both commission and discount options. It will be site based (for all products), or seller based (sellers will decide to active this program for their products and give a comission).
This system will allow regular users to share product links everywhere to earn money with a referral commission, and it will increase the sales with an extra referral discount option for buyers. So we think it will be a good system to increase sales.

There is a section in the software Settings that needs an urgent update. There are 2 options in the encryption section of the Email settings section. These options are available as (SSL – TLS). This section needs to have 3 options (SSL – TLS – NULL) I cannot send an email because there is no NULL option. My hosting does not send emails with SSL or TLS selected settings. I wrote to the support team, I hope it will be resolved soon or they will let me know the solution point.
note: the software is very good, the system installation works very well, I set up the site in 2 days and created 52,000 sitemaps in the form of categories / subcategories / subcategories. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Also, I am a master carpenter, not a software developer

The Modesy script already has this feature. You can add a “Free Shipping” method and set a minimum order amount.
If the total value of the products the buyer wants to buy from you is higher than this minimum order amount, the free shipping option will be displayed. If the total value is below the minimum order amount, free shipping option will not be displayed.

I have a suggestion to share for the upcoming update if you can try to work out something around it please.
We know you have subscription, commission model in the script but the thing is it’s unfair and disadvantage for smaller sellers with lesser valued items to pay same subscription fees like someone selling 5-100k items example Cars, Real estate, business for sale, furniture etc for classified ads option and also for marketplace option. Add a model where admin can charge listings fees based on products categories. This will be fair to all sellers please.
Including the subscription, commission model make it possible for admin to set fees based products or items categories to charge sellers with high ticket items.
You can make like admin can set normal subscription fees for everyone but then admin can set a flat rate fees on some high valued category items for sellers example can be 0.20 cent per item or $ 25 on certain high valued items categories.
This will be really amazing option to have for the script to allow site admin to also maximize the script potential.

We have received similar requests from some of our other buyers. When deciding what to include in the next update, we consider the most requested features. As a result of these feature requests, we have decided the features we will be working on and have already started working on them.
We plan to add an affiliate system, product export options, a popup warning when a product is added to the cart, admin access to other accounts, and some other features.
While we would like to address this issue, we won’t be able to include it in this update due to the number of features we are currently planning to add. We cannot make any promises at this moment. However, an option to set different commission rates for different categories might address this issue, and we will try to add this feature in future updates.

If a customer puts three Ps in the cart, they will see an “Out of Stock” warning in red and won’t be able to proceed to checkout. Therefore, there are no problems with this.

Unfortunately, custom edits are not included in item support. We also do not accept any custom edit requests because we are using all our time to working on new updates to further improve our scripts. As a result, we don’t have much time available.
