I added a custom domain, configured the A Record properly and enabled it in the admin, but there is no selection to use this custom domain when trying to create a biopage or anything else. How can I actually use the additional domain?

You must also connect the domain with your own host and point it to the script folder – as shown in the documentation
Then you also must change your own plan to be able to use the additional domain you added
Lastly, you can also go in the admin panel – settings – cache and clear that

Just noticed in the demo that the file downloads are forcing a rename on the file names. Is there a setting to make the download keep the original file name?

Thats a shame pretty much means i cant use it. 
My files i want users to download have to be named a certain way to work as they are for mods/extensions and are read from the zip file itself.

If i upload say a zip file “This_name-22.zip” I would need the download to keep that same format. So the end user would download the file with the name “This_name-22.zip” rather than “D43435345Hu87658798.zip”like it is now.

Because in the apps/games that i make mods/plugins for the ZIP files have to be named that way. Or it will not be read. Not to mention even if they did what is “D43435345Hu87658798.zip”? Thats terrible for the end user. Can you imagine trying to find a “contact” module in a folder and rather than being called “FH-Contact_154.zip its called “D43435345Hu87658798.zip”? Apps/Games needing a file named a certain way to be read isnt a rare thing. And again even still its all around better for the end user. No one knows what “D43435345Hu87658798.zip” is.
thats 2 pretty big use cases id say thats better for everyone. fitting my use case or not.

1 – There is no such way, no – as Custom domains must be done manually from a server perspective. Unless you use a heavily modified server that allows custom domains to be attached automatically, that’s not possible – for security related reasons.
2 – Unfortunately, no.
3 – Of course, simply purchase the extended license (within 6 months of purchasing the regular) and I will be able to refund in full the regular license.
