it seems as if a google drive link isn’t working for shortening. it is telling me that the system requires a proper link. but the google-drive sharing link most definitely is a proper link so it seems as if some parameters of a google-drive link are struggling with your script.

Can you login as admin then go to https://yoursite/update. If you see version 7.4.2 in there click on Update and see if it can update it. If problem persists, please open a ticket at https://gemp.me/help

I am trying to upgrade two sites from v5.5 and v5.9.3, respectively, using the updater.php downloaded from https://gempixel.com/docs/premium-url-shortener/upgrade-to-6.0.
However, both will only show I’m updating (and successfully updated) to the same v5.5 and v5.9.3.
There is nothing else happening in relation to v5.9.9 or v6.0. Am I missing out anything/step?

The updater does not update the script version because in older version we stored the number in a static file. It will just the database. After you run it once or twice, you can proceed to the next step and ignore the version number.

I guess your script has a backdoor, I was notified that my website was malicious when I did access my Control Panel my host received an abuse complaint from a global financial security firm that your script malicious. Then they automatically Blocked my Account until they ensured that I removed your script from their system. Again, I installed your script and within 24 hours later your app got hacked with, ssl, recaptcha, and 2-step enabled. Before I take any steps for proof, my account is locked. Tried on another vps host and within 24 hours same problem, account suspended until your script is removed from the server, abuse notice from global financial security firm. Now I’m sure that something is wrong with your Script. Right Now I have no options but to totally removed your script.

Sorry for the late reply, I was away for the past few days. The script does not have a backdoor. You can get a malicious warning if you someone shortens a spam url on your website and you don’t have Google safe or Google web browsing enabled. Sometimes these are even false positives as Google and other can mark the site as spam based on conditions like domains age, server IP etc. We have fully tested our script and I can guarantee you that there are no backdoors or vulnerabilities. Sorry for the late reply, I was away for the past few days. That happens because you have installed the “Whitelist” plugin. Please disable it. That plugin is only for people who want to limit the urls to certain domains.

Still having issue with “This link requires approval. Please review this link and approve it.” I have it disabled under Settings > Link Settings > Manual Link Approval but it keeps asking to approve. This happened after last major update. Am I missing something?

You are missing the “librsvg2-bin” module.
I have installed librsvg2-bin and compiled with—rsvg. This error occurs when I download multiple QR codes with selected downloads to PDF. If I only download one QR code to PDF, there is no problem.
