Hi! Pre-purchase question.

Almost a year ago i asked if you can have thumbnails for images. It is the second most voted feature in https://feedbo.io/board/filebird-document-library/ but as far as i can check it is still not developed.

This other plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/catfolders-document-gallery/ has all those features.

I have already purchased the FileBird Pro, so it would be really nice to have the features Catfolders have. Do you have an estimated date for the thumbnail to be developed?

Is there a way to change the download button color?

Is there a way to remove the “Last Modified” column?

What fields is the search function using for finding files? Only the title or also the other fields like description?

I don’t want guys toggling through grid layout options or choosing how many files to display so I suggest having this section hidden would be great. I would imagine that with a paid version this should be possible but I can’t see this in the customize options.

Pre Sale Question It seems like from reviewing the comments that you have completed the front-end hierarchical tree-view, but I don’t see screenshots of a front-end view like that. The front-end demo and front-end screenshots only shows a flat list of files with no subfolders or trees to explore. Does the front-end tree view exist?

Pre Sale Question: I want to add PDF Newspapers to library and open it on PDF viewer. (Disable download) Is this option available or do we have access to modify this ?

I do appreciate the new addition of being able to show hierarchical folders on the Pro version.

On the desktop this works exactly as I would expect, with the top of the tree (the root folder) being displayed and users can see folders below, and return to the root folder easily as long as breadcrumbs are ticked. My only negative point for desktop views is that if there are no files is in the root folder, this is displayed as an icon onscreen, yet a document library may not have any entries at root level, only subfolders, so maybe an option for removing this message could be useful.

More critically, I cannot see why you have decided to choose a different approach on mobile view, which allows users to move up above the chosen root folder. This can be easily seen in your docs in the picture below the words “When viewed on mobile, the layout will automatically be converted to select box style”. Firstly, it is odd to have a different approach on mobile, but more importantly it is not desirable to have every single item of media and all media folders on your Wordpress installation on display for users to explore – some of the media may just be for the website design. This is what makes it impossible for me to implement the hierarchical folders view – which is a shame as it could really make things easier for exploring a document library. Maybe you could re-examine the mobile implementation?

I wish I had read the comments prior to purchasing. Going to the trouble of organising documents on the back end (FileBird) for this not to mirror on the front end in folders is a disappointment. I think a lot would benefit from this feature. I will have to find a different solution for now but also keep an eye on the changelog for other projects.

Hi I just purchased this plugin, its really awesome. there is one feature i think would be awesome is that can you limit the characters for the filenames, as with very long file names in list mode, the whole view is stretched and a navigation bar at the bottom is displayed. I feel this doesn’t look very nice. it should remain the same, and the filename should be hidden with the (...) you know?

example if you had “MY NAME IS KANE BY THE RAIN” and if that is too long, then it will get cut like this: “MY NAME IS KANE BY T…” and hovering over the title can display the whole name in a tooltip.

Also having long names in Grid mode looks terrible!
