How do you guys manage to stream using YouTube. I heard there are certain limitations on YouTube api only limited tokens available to stream the music. and I’m only using your default api. how will I know if the tokens are expired and will my user will be able to continue listening to music?

Youtube embeds are using for streaming, they do require API keys and there’s no playback limitations on them.
So, to search those videos doesn’t require api?
Youtube API is not required for at all, for search or streaming.
Hi Vebto, From time to time, after several updates, I am giving Bemusic a new chance to see if some of the limited features I previously mentioned would be addressed in a way, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised that one of them was given a fix. Indeed, the 50 item limitation in a manually sorted channel had been removed. To me, this was the main problem with Bemusic if you wanted only relevant music being displayed in a channel. I then started to build several channels. A couple of them were dedicated to indexing of artists and albums comprised in the mixes I produce for a web radio every month, so you can imagine that this list must be growing fast, which led me to realize that there still was a limitation, but it had been increased to 200 items, which is, of course, still not enough for me. Once again, this kind of limitation make Bemusic completely unusable, and that’s the only reason I cannot use it for my needs. So my question : Is there a way to completely get rid of this limitation ? If it is not possible, or if it’s not in a future plan, then I would say that there is nothing Bemusic can do for me. This limit is only in the channel editor currently for performance reasons. When viewing channel, there should not be any limit and it will load more items in as the user scrolls down.
Hi Vebto, Unfortunately, after several tests, it turns out that the limit applies also to the channel itself. I currently populated one of my channels with 250+ items and only a 200 of them is showing up in the channel page. By the way, even if the limit was only restricted to the channel editor, that would cause some issue, particularly if you opt for a manual sorting. It makes it impossible to order items once they have left the visible spectre of the channel editor. Unless this was addressed in the latest update (that I did not install yet), I am still unable to achieve the very basic interface I am trying to build with Bemusic, and that is definitely a frustration because I feel it could be super neat with just a couple of slight changes. Can you try the latest update? There should not be any limit on the number of items when viewing the channel on the site.
Hi Vebto, unfortunately again, even after the update, manually sorted channel items are still limited to 200. Can you do something to correct this or should I just let go and try another script ?
Also, one thing I found out was that if the limit of 200 items is exceeded, then, all supernumerary item is just removed from the list, not hidden as expected. I’m afraid that if nothing is done regarding this behaviour, then the use of any manually sorted channel is bound to fail. This is particularly true if you try to get control over what is displayed from the front page, and want to get rid of all the irrelevant data that bemusic is adding in the background.

I was reviewing the source code and I see that you have two providers for letters, I suppose that if there are no letters in one provider it looks for them in the other, but I was checking and the Google provider does not work, I have seen that there are no letters in one but In Google, yes, and it still shows that there are no song lyrics.

The current lyrics provider should have lyrics for most of the songs, google one will not be used at all usually.
Issues: 1. When you have 2FA when on mobile viewing account settings page the screen doesnt fit due to the 2FA codes button.
2. When press back on a song thats like 30 seconds in should restart the song? NO it starts the previous song, wierd way of controlling music.??
Needs: 1. allowing of user generated playlists or admin controlled playlists to be displayed on the discover page. will make it more user friendly.
2. remove the /1/USER from a users permalink. links are not nice in bemusic. remove the 1 or 2 depending on users creation and just have /user/bemusic instead of the numerical value.
3. make links/permalinks friendly as per above
4. possibly redesign the discover page so its more navigationalable and looks nice. instead of tracktables etc. have 3 by 3 or something similar to spotify not saying the same but similar layout. this may be a must.

Regarding discover page, you can show tracks in a grid or list format as well, it does not have to be a table.
There’s no easy way to change url format at the moment unfortunately.
We have never resolved the problem that I have already reported to you for 5 months, it is the Bemusic forms which are not secure Bemusic does not have a form with:
1) – The person’s first and last name
2) – Male or female -
3) Username (this is the only thing you have)
4) – the telephone number (with country codes)
5) – the email address (that’s all you have)
6) – The city and country of the user
7) – Verification of access by sending the code by SMS
– A more serious avatar with a male or female head silhouette (the user can then modify it)
9) The connection: 9a) That the user can connect with: – their email and password to receive a 4-digit code via SMS to connect
We are in 2024, this is the minimum that Vebto/Bemusic must do: HAVE A CONVENIENT REGISTRATION AND CONNECTION FORM.

2. You can modify the bottom menu on mobile from “admin > appearance > menu manager” and add any links you need there.

Nice i was going through the demo and i noticed that user can’t play music on background…..... i visited the demo from my mobile phone and noticed i can’t play music on background and on lock screen
If you click the play button on phone lock screen a few times while bemusic is in the background, it should start playing.
I tried it and it didn’t work….. i also discovered it’s because of the youtube embed videos….. so is it possible to turn off video playback by default and let listener manually play the video if they want to watch it…... is this possible?
Yes it works on that one very well….. but it doesn’t on the other one…. i need that one because of the automation….

It’s most likely due to recent youtube embed background play restrictions, there’s not much that can be done about this from BeMusic side unfortunately.

Turning off the video will not affect this as it’s still streamed from youtube. Custom uploaded music file (mp3 or mp4 for example) would not have this issue though.
Okay Nice…... Can you work more on the earning system on your next Update?...... Like adding image and audio… if possible video ads so users can run ads on the platform….. will this be possible on next update???........ Because apart from monthly subscription the only way to make money is with ads script and payment gateways are limited

1.) The translation [one 1 playlist|other :count playlists] is not counting beyond 30 elements in the plural, it can be checked in /library/playlists whose path does not appear in the drop-down to be added as a path, so if add as link, stop music.
2.) The Tabs order of the artist page shown in /admin/settings/player (Page artist) cannot be moved, when saved, it does not modify its position.
3.) In /account-settings from the mobile it has an oversized width laterally.
4.) Playback stops within 1 minute if the song is played more than once. Can you check that if you select the same song that is playing again, it is not possible? Forcing the user to have to drag the time selector back.

2. Spotify API is used for automatically importing metdata (artists, albums, tracks, images etc.), Youtube is used for streaming music, if no other source (mp3 file for example) is provided for a track.

I can’t use the script. it’s a shame because it is a very good script! 2. And one more topic. In the primary sidebar menu, whatever menu Items I have added, on the desktop computer they look fine. But on the mobile if I add, for example 8 items, they are not visible at all. Can the menu on the mobile be displayed somehow differently, so that all the items added can be displayed normally? On spotify after click on major category on search page (etc. POP) then open a page with sub categories of POP like (All Things Pop, New Pop Releases, etc.) ON BEMUSIC I when click ON a genre then open the artists page.
