I just got the plugin and I’m having a few issues with it; 1- how do I show single images instead of a gallery? 2- I have a folder within a gallery folder and it’s showing the folder, instead of showing only the images in the folder, is there a way to isolate images I want shown within the folder? 3- is there a way to have a settings preset for the module and the like so that I won’t have to keep repeating the same edits to get the results wanted

I figured how to post individual images, please help with the other inquiries

Thanks for your questions!

(2) The Gallery cannot display your images in your sub folders recursively (It would also require to many API resources), so it will indeed display the folder which you can navigate into.

(3) There isn’t a way to save a present in the module configuration at this moment. That is on the feature request list though to be added in the future. For now you can always just copy/paste an existing module and change the configuration of the new module.

I hope this answers your questions.

Does anyone has the issue that the search bar isn’t showing in the Link Private Folders section?

It’s a hassle to go through all the clients to link to folders.. Any help is appreciated!

Our Support has expired, is it OK if we send a ticket anyway?

Sure, no problem. You can always open a support ticket. In general, only if there is something that requires more time to investigate than an active support package is required.

Thank you, the ticket was created :)

To confirm instead of hosting media on wordpress, I can use this plugin to host on Google Shared drive, correct?

You have commented on the Share-one-Drive plugin product page, which is the OneDrive/SharePoint version of the plugin. The Use-your-Drive plugin is the version for Google Drive.

Both plugins can display content stored in your cloud account directly on your WordPress site, without having to host the files on your own server. To do this, the plugin has a number of modules that you can use to display the content. An overview of the modules can be found on the demo page.

I hope this answers your question and feel free to test the plugin on both Front-End and Back-End via the demo website in the link below.

Hello, thanks for your support so kind. I help want question is why cant open the docx file on front side?

Editing of Office files via the File Browser module is disabled by default. You can enable this on the ‘Actions’ menu in the configuration of the module. When enabled, the ‘Edit’ action will show up in the action menu of the file in the File Browser module.

- Floris

But i only want the user to preview it not edit it, like the pdf work perfect

In that case, I am not sure what the exact issue is you are encountering. The preview action is enabled by default, so you should be able to preview .docx files without problem. See for instance the ‘Product Brochure’ file in the File Browser module on the demo site.

If you encounter a specific issue, feel free to create a support ticket via the link below and I will gladly take a closer look at it.

Does the Sharepoint API supports “title” and “description” from Sharepoint files. In Sharepoint (Business) you can add title and description to files, can the plugin retrive this information?

Thanks for your question! The API doesn’t return descriptions/titles for SharePoint files unfortunately, so the plugin cannot use this information. BTW, the native OneDrive/SharePoint environment (onedrive.com/sharepoint.com) also doesn’t disclose this information as far as I can see. As soon as support is added for descriptions in the API, it should automatically appear in the Share-one-Drive plugin as well.

How can I use with multiple onedrive accounts integrated into the plugin?

Yes, you can link multiple OneDrive accounts to the plugin via the main plugin options page. In your module configurator/shortcode builder you can select on the ‘Content’ tab which folder on which OneDrive account you want to use for that module.

Thanks, best plugin ever!

I just bought use-your-drive, thought it’s kinda nice. So, thinking of getting this one as well but no more sales? Will you extend the sales, and is this as simple as use-your-drive, just athoruze… that’s it?

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, but the Share-one-Drive looks the same on the Front-End as the Google Drive version but the back-end is different. In the end, both APIs and the cloud solutions offer different functionality and have a different architecture.

This is a pre-sales request. I want to ask whether the following scenario can be done with your plugin.

I need to create a folder “2023-2024” then

(1) I should be able to provide VIEW rights to all the user who have the User Role A and

(2) I need to be able to provide EDIT rights to all the users who have the User Role B.

Is this possible?

Yes, that is possible. You can point a File Browser module to your folder “2023-2024” and give User Role A ‘view-only’ access and User Role B ‘edit-access’ for Microsoft Office documents. You can set for each action which User Role or User should be able to execute that action.

Feel free to test the plugin on both Front-End and Back-End via the demo website in the link below.

Ok and what about the notifications. I don’t want to start bothering all the users with emails. Is there any notification bell inside the plugin’s file browser module, which would display the summary of files recently added, modified?

Such notifications aren’t available unfortunately. You can set the sorting order files to e.g. last modified. And the plugin can indeed send email notifications to users when content is changed on the OneDrive via the plugin.

hello, Can I use the license on a local site prior to launch and then use it on the final online site?

You can use the licence on a single domain, so you can actually use it on a production environment before using it on the final site. There are also a number of domains that are considered staging/development environments where you can use the same key as your live site at the same time. That might be useful for your case. See for more information the FAQ article: Licenses for production, staging and development sites.

excellent thank you very much

Having an issue, logged in, videos show & play, if test in private window or different browser & not logged in to WP, videos do not show, what am I doing wrong?

I have no errors either.

I am not sure what could cause this behavior but could you check the different permissions in your module configuration? If that doesn’t help, please create a support ticket via the link below so I can take a closer look at it!

Thanks for the response.

It is the module level permission, I have 2 public videos I set as anon & they are viewable on the front-end of my site, I have 11 videos behind a login, & I use surecart & suremembers, in the 11 videos, I set permissions based on the certain user-roles & is now working from what i can tell.

I had removed all permissions except Admin.

Thank you for your quick reply. Although I am not sure if I understand your answer for 100%, I am glad to hear that you managed to resolve the issue. If you still have any questions or encounter any other issues, please feel free to create a support ticket so I can check the issue on your site.

Is it there a way for not showing the 3 vertical dots at the top right of the “iframe” and show the content of the submenu directly?

This is not possible via the plugin settings itself. However, I can probably provide you with some javascript code that will add buttons for your actions directly into the header of the lightbox itself. Feel free to create a support ticket using the link below and I will see what I can do for you (probably tomorrow, as it is almost time to call it a day here)!

I am not sure if the plugin will fulfill my tasks. I need to have an answer before I buy it.

It should be integrated via WPForms and as soon as someone uploads images via the form, they should be stored in my OneDrive/Sharepoint. And with each new form entry create a new folder. Possible?

Thank you

Yes, that is definitely be possible. You can basically just add a Share-one-Drive upload field in your WPForms and configure it so that it uploads in a new folder (e.g.time based) or it can also use values of your form fields to name the upload folder. You can read more about this in the online documentation. If you need any assistance configuring the upload field to your wishes, you can always just create a support ticket and I will do my best to help you out.

hi dev, how to make header nav always visible (default auto hidden)?

Are you referring to the header in the Gallery module which only shows up when you hover over the gallery module? If you want to change that behavior, just add the following line of CSS in the Custom CSS box on the Layout tab of the main plugin options page:

#ShareoneDrive .wpcp-gallery .nav-header { opacity: 1 !important;}

If you are referring to something else, feel free to create a support ticket via the link below so I can have a closer look at it!

It seems that the player is not compatible with the wp-rocket cache or cloudflare cache plugin. After a while, when I re-visit the page with the embedded player, the error message failed to load. Right now I have to add a rule that excludes pages that contain players, but if the page has high traffic, it will not be good for the server.

If the cache is caching the pages as static HTML page, you will have to whitelist the pages with Share-one-Drive on it. The Share-one-Drive plugin doesn’t work on static pages for security reasons. It is basically making sure that each user is only able access content on your OneDrive that is made accessible to them, and a static cache will interfere with that.

I am not familiar with other kind of cache problems (e.g. Object Cache or Cloudflare cache, which the demo site uses as well). So if the problem persists without having a static HTML/page cache enabled, I will gladly have a closer look at it. In that case, feel free to create a support ticket via the link below.

Hello, can this plugin be used as an additional option along with the media offload plugin? If I use these 2 plugins together, will there be conflicts in file management?

Hi, is there any bandwidth limitation when streaming videos from onedrive with large views?

One more question, how to set the default subtitle language every time a video is played? Sorry for asking too much.

OneDrive has a ‘Fair Use’ policy, which basically means that there are no hard limits regarding bandwidth usage. With normal use, you shouldn’t encounter any problems.

Add the moment there isn’t a possibility to set a default subtitle language, so the player will always start with the subtitles disabled. I will have a look at this to see if I can add support for a default subtitle language in a next version.

Hi! I’m loving the plugin, really good congratulations! I would like to know if it is possible to have a folder where everyone can access and that users continue with their private folders, is this possible?

This is possible, but not in the same module, as it can only point to a specific folder on your OneDrive. So you basically need to add two modules, one pointing to the common folder and the other pointing to the private folder.

Thanks for the feedback!

Dear technical support team,

We would like to purchase Share-one-Drive | OneDrive plugin for WordPress plugin to implement it on our client’s website. However, we have some doubts regarding the functionality that our client requires.

Our client is looking for a file management system that syncs with OneDrive for Business and allows user access control. The specific requirement is that each company or client has its own folder on OneDrive, with specific documents and subfolders. We would like to know if it is possible to configure Share-one-Drive | OneDrive plugin for WordPress to display only the folders associated with each company or client, rather than showing all folders and then restricting access.

Ensuring the privacy and security of the documents is of utmost importance, displaying only what is relevant to each client and preventing unauthorized access to other information.

We would greatly appreciate your prompt response, as this is crucial for us to proceed with the purchase and provide the appropriate solution to our client.

Thank you for your attention and support.

Thanks for your question.Let me try to answer it for you.

Firstly, the OneDrive API only provides access to the entire OneDrive and/or SharePoint environment. So the plugin itself will always be associated with the full account.

However, with the functionality of the plugin, you can give your WordPress users access to their ‘own’ folder in your cloud environment, where they can view and manage their content. With the ‘Private Folders’ feature of the plugin, you can basically give each user their own folder and set what kind of actions should be allowed for them. With this setup, users will not be able to access content outside of their own private folder. You basically add a Share-one-Drive module to your ‘Portal’ page and manually link your users to an existing folder on your OneDrive or let the plugin do it for you. You can find more information about this functionality in the online documentation

>>> Please note that the plugin cannot assign individual files to WordPress users, only folders.

If you have more specific questions about this functionality, please let me know and I will be happy to provide more information.

Security & Privacy: Let me also provide some more specific information about the security of the plugin. By authorising the plugin to access the OneDrive/SharePoint, you are allowing the plugin to:

  1. read, create, update and delete files on your OneDrive and SharePoint when your users are using the plugin
  2. change the sharing permissions of files to allow your users to e.g. share the files
  3. see basic user profile information of the linked account

Once access is granted, the OneDrive API (Graph API) provides an authorisation token and an update token that allow the plugin to access and maintain access to the OneDrive content. These tokens are encrypted and stored on your server. Any data received is strictly between your own server and the Graph API using these tokens. The tokens will be invalidated if the authorisation is manually revoked, if the account password changes, or if the token isn’t used for 90 days.

The plugin modules are as secure as possible to prevent any unauthorised access & actions. The plugin has been around for ~8 years now and there has not been a security breach or vulnerability found in the plugin modules that has allowed unauthorised access to your content. So, as far as we know, it’s not possible to gain access to OneDrive content that isn’t made available through the modules.

>>> If you don’t want to make your entire OneDrive accessible via the plugin, I always recommend authorising the plugin with a second OneDrive account or service account that you share the folders with that should only be accessible via your website. This will ensure that the contents of the entire OneDrive can never be exposed!

And finally, you can find the privacy policy of this plugin over here

Hi, 2 questions.

1. Is your plugin compatible with Easy Digital Downloads ? 2. Is your plugin compatible with Microsoft 365 SharePoint?

Thanks for your reply. Regards, Ruben

Thanks for your questions!

  1. The plugin doesn’t integrate into Easy Digital Downloads at this moment. That might be added in the future though.

  2. Yes, the Share-one-Drive plugin supports any Microsoft account so that includes OneDrive Personal/Free and OneDrive Business/SharePoint

I hope that answers your questions and feel free to test the plugin on both Front-End and Back-End via the demo website in the link below.
