I have a new project to publish, but before purchasing a new license I need to know if it is possible for a customer to subscribe to a plan by filling out a form with custom fields and then subscribing to another plan with different custom fields. Thanks.

Custom fields submission is strictly related to the registration step and no extra custom fields are required if existent member wish to sign to a new/different membership.
I understand. But when the new plan requires more subscriber information, I haven’t found an alternative to get that. Thank you.

Just a small suggestion. The Tax calculation does not apply for the Default Country. Basically, you have to re-select the country (or choose another one) in order to activate the Tax percentage calculation. It would be nice if it detects automatically the Default Country and apply the Taxes based on your tax value set up. Perhaps you can fix this in a future update. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

You can have two memberships, each with its own price and payment plan, while providing the same access to members. So, members may choose under which plan they wish to be charged.

I would like to know if I can change the user role on WordPress depending on the membership status.
For example, if the default WordPress role is ‘Subscriber’ – can I set the paid subscriber to ‘Gold-Member’?
That way, if the payment period is ending, their role is reset back to ‘Subscriber’ until they paid for another period of time.

This is possible only thanks to an external add on available which may set extra WP roles linked to UMP memberships.

I’ve created new role that I assigned to WP subscribers and the free UMP membership option (e.g. NEWBE), then I linked the paid UMP membership to the default WP ‘Subscriber’ role.
Finally, I set the paid user to be downgrade to free role if their paid period ends.
This configuration will allow me to add some section of the site that only the ‘Subscriber’ role can see.

Those are not errors but warnings and are related to the global WordPress variable $current_user which manages the session of the current logged WP user. Probably a 3rd party script affects the WP variable, and that generates those warnings when UMP attempts to use it.

If I got it right, there are two ways to sell a subscription, either the default one or the Woocommerce way. Since I need to use a payment gateway that is only available on Woocommerce I guess that I have to use the Woocommerce integration. The question is, does that means that someone has to go throught the “Add to cart” > “Cart” > “Checkout” process in order to pay for a subscription? Also is there a demo of the plugin with the Woocommerce integration?

Yes, you are right. If you wish to sell Memberships through Woo, buyers will follow the Woo standard workflow.

You can use the coupon_used GET argument inside the URL, besides the standard lid, for checkout page, if is necessary to apply the discount directly.

If you wish to restrict access to some files, you may have them inside the same WP site as UMP and to control access to physical files, but otherwise, you may restrict the access to the download links only, no matter where those files have been uploaded.
Hi, I have the tax included in the product price. Payment process/history etc. are showing correct prices, so no issue there. But the attribute {amount} in the email is adding an addition tax amount to the total amount. E.g: price + tax = 0,99 > email {amount} = 0,99 + tax. Is there any fix to this, or should I use a different attribute?

Is it possible to have a sub membership?, eg. the parent would be called “memberships” which would have access levels on certain content. The sub members all have the same access as the parent one but their subscriptions costs are all different depending on the type of membership they require (trade, academic etc)
This is a group of members workflow and it is achievable with Ultimate Membership Pro but thanks to an additional external Addon.

Your spam is not coming because of Ultimate Membership Pro or through its registration form but because you’ve left the WordPress Register option open and it’s well known for more than a decade that this will be discovered by boots.
This plugin still get tons of spam sign ups and the wordpress register option has never been on.
Hello – I failed to revoke my UMP license from my previous domain before deleting and removing it and now I can not install it and transfer information to my new domain. My support plan has expired but I don’t need tech support, I just need to know the process for revoking a UMP license for a domain that I no longer have. Can you tell the procedure for doing so – thanks in advance.
In this moment, your license looks free to use and not linked with any site, so you should be able to use it.
