The plugin had worked fine but in a new installation of site when it was rebuilt from the server the plugin does not show on the homepage but it shows after the any click on the homepage. Do you know what could be triggering this behavior and what could be done.

Hi there, I have this installed on a website where it is supposed to appear before a customer enters the site, and for some reason, very recently it has started only to pop up when you go past the home page into any other page. I’ve checked all settings and they seem ok.

Hello, I would like to be able to customise the font.
Hi do you mean you want to change the font family? If so you can enter the following example within Appearance/Customise/Additional CSS in the Wordpress dashboard or your theme’s style.css file:
If you wanted to change the font to match your theme’s font you could enter:
.agc_screen * { font-family: inherit; }
Or set it to a specific font:
.agc_screen * {
font-family: Arial, "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, sans-serif;
}

Hi to edit both of those things please refer to the following examples which you can enter within Appearance/Customise/Additional CSS in the Wordpress dashboard or your theme’s style.css file:
For example to make the text and button colour black you could enter something like this:
.agc_screen p { color: black; }
.agc_screen .agc_verify_button { color: black; border: 1px solid black; }
.agc_screen .agc_verify_button:hover { color: white; background-color: black; }
If you wanted to change the font to match your theme’s font you could enter:
.agc_screen * { font-family: inherit; }

Is there something I can check to ensure the checker works every time? I have the setting set to 0 but I’m getting mixed results. I just tried it on an iPad that has never visited the site and the age check didn’t come up. In other instances I’ve tried clearing the server cache, web browser cache and trying different devices and the results are mixed on if it works or not. Help! Thanks!
That sounds odd, please could you share your website url either here or email support@themeware.net. I would recommend flushing any cache plugins and CDNs.

Hi there are other age verification plugins available that redirect the user to a separate page, this can be harmful to SEO as crawlers can no longer digest the original page content. Age Checker overlays a pop out to avoid this problem, time has been spent on displaying this pop out quickly after page load with vanilla JS. There are quite a few performance factors at play here and the launch time would not be as good as it is for many users if the methodology was poor.
Some of the diagnostic stats you’ve mentioned are related to other things like your hosting performance such as TTFB which is a high 2.4 seconds.
