This occurs if it is not configured properly. The cloud storage settings are different than the one in the Advanced Settings. You can go to Admin > File Sharing > Settings and make sure you fill those properly. You cannot use the same bucket as the one used for public files as all files will be available to the public. You will need to create a new private bucket.

That is not possible if you enable encryption. If encryption is disabled then it is possible however I don’t see the need to see the preview if you can download it.
Sometimes stuff isn’t for download only. Users may see it if its the thing they want to download.

AWS and other CDNs are coming in the update by Monday however no plans for FTP support at the moment as that is usually very slow. I will also check for Hetzner storage.

Finishing the update for the main script and releasing the update in 1-2 days and they will all be released at the same time. We have made some cores changes to the main script and made it easier for plugins to add to menus so that is why they all need to be released at the same time.

I am not very familiar with backblaze. I will have a look at it right now. Downloads are already throttled by sessions. Once you download an item you will need to refresh the page to be able to download again.

Not at the moment however in the upcoming update, you will be able to host them in object storages like S3, Digitalocean, Wasabi and more.

also can you please tell is there any way to remove download page. actually i build a wordpress apk downloading site and for that i dont want to show this the download page. i already integrated theme with download button. i want the link should be hidden in download button and encrypted and when user click download it should download the file automatically only one time. means if the user copy the download link he would not be able to download the file again after few hours. like token wise. i am searching for the script and i think this is possible with this plugin ?

There is no plan to integrate this to wordpress at the moment. The update will come in about 1-2 weeks. It is not possible to remove the download page at the moment.

Ahh, interesting, did not know you had a file hosting here. Can you specify what is the max age of the file. Amazon or hosting that stuff elsewhere would be helpful, my server has limited disk size.

There is no age for the file. It stays there until it is deleted. At the moment it is locally stored because according to our tests it was a bit slower to download if hosted elsewhere. We are still experimenting with hosting them on the cloud & optimizing delivery so it downloads faster.
