Hey Stepasyuk, is there a way to give more weight to posts with a particular term within a taxonomy in the filtered results? The desired outcome – if a post has the term “the best post” selected for it’s category, it will display before any other post that does not have this term, regardless of the date it was posted.

Hello danmaby

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

In general this is partly possible, but it requires to add hook to your filtered WP_Query and this term can be only post meta term, not taxonomy. This required to be familiar with PHP or ask a developer to help you.

If you do not want to code you can use Filter Everything sorting widget and create sorting paramter with that post meta field. It will be such a half-assed decision

Hi,

Does your plugin support filtering user metadata?

We use buddypress and xprofile fields for extra fields and need to filter on this.

Thanks

Hi bdebie

Thank you for your interest in Filter Everything PRO.

Unfortunately no, it filters only by post’s meta fields data.

Hello, it looks like the formatting for the filters is a little off. I have installed your latest version with the latest version of WP. I have selected radio boxes and checkboxes, but in both instances, it looks like an underscore is in their place. You can view it here: https://asketchoffaith.com/all-crafts/

Thanks for your fast reply. I will get it fixed.

I’m glad that your problem is solved :-)

Hello, I am looking for a filters plugin for Woocommerce with a fairly specific functionality. I want to be able to add filters to a specific page to filter products on that page, while always applying a default filter in the background. I’ve got a few specific types of products (they are in specific categories and have their own pages) and I would like to have filters which only apply to the products in that specific category. Does this plugin support this?

Hello flintwebmedia

Sorry for the late reponse.

You can “pre-populate” all filters with specific filter term via hook ’wpc_filter_term_url’. It is possible, but requires to be familiar with PHP coding or you can ask a developer to help you.

Hi, I encounter a conflict between the filter everything plugin and YITH Gift card Premium plugin. This don’t seem really related, but as soon as the gift card plugin is activated, the filters have no effect on the woo commerce product lists. – the filter panels display well – the product count and auto hiding of filters works also, – but the list of product displayed is not filtered. Do you have any idea what can create that issue. Thanks

Hi antoine82

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

It looks like when you enable YITH Gift card Premium plugin something changes with WP_Query you tried to filter. Please try next thing – activate YITH Gift card Premium plugin and after that open Filter Set and try to experiment with different WP_Queries in the “And what to filter?” field. You should find WP_Query that will be filtered.

Also in this case disabled please AJAX as it may prevent you from finding the problem. You can enable it later.

Hello Stepasyuk.

Thanks for your advice, I tried changing that settings which propose me “Product Query” and “Product Query, Main Query”. I don’t really understand the difference, but it’s working better with the second option.

I updated all the filter set applied on the different categories and will do more testing. But it looks already working with the Gift card plugin activated.

Thanks

Hello antoine82

I’m glad that it already works for you :-)

Hi, i have just purchased and installed the plugin which work gook. i have set it to work in AJAX and have 2 questions:

1. I have a styling issue – seems that when loading the page the style and design is good but when reloading data from filter something is missing in the css rules and there is a large gap between the image and the text

https://ibb.co/3YZKryJ https://ibb.co/qMDNPyh https://www.nuriteldar.co.il/blog-test/

2. in the filter set i create i see that i can only set it to one specific page. is there an option to allow it on several pages?

Hello Colibri56

Yes, indeed. I checked this and I see that there is problem with pagination links in the Elementor posts module. But the main problem is that it depends from the Elementor posts module, but not from Filter Everything plugin. I don’t know why it generates such broken links. I would be glad to help you with this, but it requires to change Elementor code what I can not to do. As option you can ask their support to help you with this problem and provide all details.

I would be glad if you will let me know about the result if you ask Elementor support.

Thank you.

Thanks Stepasyuk, if icontact elementor support and get any results i will update you. in the meantime do you have any suggestions to an other module for posts and paginging that will work as expected with your plugin inside an elementor page? Thanks

Hello Colibri56

Unfortunately I don’t know such modules for Elementor. But you can try plugins like post grid or so that allows you to insert shortcode and display posts and navigation. Usually they use WordPress default navigation that should be compatible with hebrew slugs.

Or, as option, you can use latin slugs in your post categories and tags. In this case even Elementor pagination will work properly.

Hello,

how do i configure this plugin (we did buy PRO) such i can display an “In stock” filter, that also works with variations? say size = XL and “in Stock”?

tried a lot of combinations with _stock and _stock_status but this never seem to actually work?

Hello tigermedia

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

Please, write you support questions from the account, where you purchased the plugin. Such requests have highest priority to response.

This is the ram of my 8gb hosting, this is the hosting answer:

“That being said, I reviewed the resource usage of the server and I can see that you are well within the available resources. There are no significant spikes in usage or issues due to a lack of resources. As such, the performance of your website is strictly related to your application and its optimization. By taking a look at the website I can indeed see room for improvement and if you would like us to review the application in detail and provide you with a detailed summary of what exactly can be improved you are more than welcome to submit a new ticket in the Site Slow ticketing category. Please note, that this is a paid service and you will be charged with the service fee during the submission of a ticket in the appropriate ticketing category.

And before considering this service, you are still welcome to review our article containing useful tips on how to improve the performance of your WordPress application here:”

samuelasgarbossa

I understand your position, but from the technical point of view it’s not so important how many RAM your server has in absolute amount. But it is important to have enough resources to handle all your data. You have too many products and it requires appropriate resources of from your server. It can be 16Gb RAM or even more.

You can make experiment – to add filters one by one and test when it stops to work. For example with one filter it works – https://grforniture.it/catalogo/marca-peugeot/

Try to add second, third and you will know what is the hardest fitler that eats resources and decide to use it or not.

Also FYI about filtering performance – filtering speed depends from next parameters:
- server CPU
- server RAM
- number of posts to filter
- number of filters and terms
- number and quality of plugins you use
- cache adjustments on a server
- plugin’s code optimizations, internal cache (this was already done for the Filter Everything)

Ok, One last thing, I would like to exclude all out of stock products from the filter search, would this be possible? Having a lot of product out of stock maybe this could help. Thank you

Hello samuelasgarbossa

You have several ways to solve this problem:
1. You can create separate filter by product stock status – https://demo.filtereverything.pro/example/by-stock/
2. Or you can enable option “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” in WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Inventory

Hello,

Any time someone selecting something from the filter options the filter screen is getting blurred and freezes. This is the only information I can provide in public. If you need anything else, please send me an email or anything that would be concerned a privated support, or just tell me to find another product more suitable for my needs.

Hello zastavra

Thank you for using FIlter Everything PRO.

Details you provided may be evidence that you configured AJAX feature wrong. Please, read this short paragraph about how to configure AJAX correctly – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/plugin-settings/#ajax

If this will not help you, please, send me credentials to your /wp-admin in accordance with this document I will check it myself in 1-2 days.

Hi Stepasyuk,

I’m trying to add my licence key, but it does’nt work. “uknow error”

Ok, send me please domain name you tried to activate. You can send it via PM.

Maybe that’s because my website is in local now ? I will, when he is online. Thx u

Ah, yes, sure – website on localhost can’t be activated. In any case the plugin will work normally without activated license at least two months. Meanwhile I will try to solve activation problems on localhosts.

Hello, so I have filters set up on the top of the product archive (not in a sidebar) and I would like the dropdowns to display items with checkboxes so that people can select multiple items at the same time. I have tried to select “checkboxes” in “view in widget” but that doesn’t work as it does not put the items in a dropdown. I even tried to select the “folding” option, but when I click on the filter label to show the options it moves the whole content of the page down. How can I get this to work? The whole reason why I bought the pro version is because I saw an image on your website that looked like items with checkboxes could be displayed in a dropdown (in the section that says “create any filter by any parameter”). I hope this can be done. Thank you

Hello federika1992

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

In general this type of view is planned for development, but is not included in the plugin yet. The plugin supports separately – checkboxes and dropdowns, but not dropdown with checkboxes simultaneously.

But, if you so need to have dropdown with checkboxes, you can achieve this by creating your own view for desired filters. For this purpose you can use feature Tempalte Overriding shortly described here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/

Also you can use checkboxes view for your purpose but you have to edit some CSS styles to make position of this view absolute and in this case filters will appear above your products layer and will not move them down.

Of course all these expect that you are familiar with CSS or you have to ask a developer to help you.

hello, i have bought the pro version, and i want to filter post with its custom field.

i display post by using elementor – posts grid component.

The filter works nice, i can see the filter selections and the count of matched post.

but if i filter, the website url wil change but the post content not change. So, i want to know how to link the filter with the post component.

Of course, i try to use something like ”.elementor-element-3e7bac5” in the “CSS id or class of the Posts Container”

Thanks!

HI, i try to change post query # and solve it

Hi weboostdev

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

I’m glad that your problem is already solved :-)

Hello. Fantastic plugin! I have a question about defining my one filter set in the “where to filter” section to show on multiple types of pages. I need this filter set to display on: Home page, post type archive page, and several taxonomy pages. I did not see this answer in your documentation. I understand it will inherit from the parent term, but this does not work when I have three different taxonomies and different pages/archives. I know I can make additional filter sets and simply define where to add them in each set, but I’m hoping there’s a way to do it all in this one filter set, since I do not require different filters on each of those pages. Thanks!

Hello bravewhale

Thank you for your warm words about the plugin.

Indeed you can not specify one Filter Set for several type of pages because potentially they can contain absolutely different WP_Queries and in this case Filter Everything have to use different logic to filter them.

So you can either create individual Filters Sets for your different pages. Or you can use a trick – to create one common Filter Set for “All archive pages for this post type” and for example hide Filters widget on pages, where it is not needed.

For Homepage if it is not your posts page you have to create separate Filter Set.

Thank you for explaining. This makes sense. Since it sounds like multiple filter sets are necessary, I’d like to suggest there be a “copy” or “clone” filter set option. I tried using the Duplicate Posts plugin from Yoast, but it does not seem to work on the filter sets post type even when I select that in the Yoast settings. Thanks again.

bravewhale

Thank you for your advice. This feature is planned and will be added to the plugin after some time. Unfortunately I can’t say when exactly this happen because I don’t know this for the moment. But I can notify you here in this comment section.

Hi, I need to add multiple post type to one Filter type. How it can be. Please help me.

Please reply on it.

Hello logakarthikeyan

Sorry for the late reponse. You can not filter more than one post type simultaneously. You have to use differnt Filter Sets for this.

Is it possible render shortcodes in the SEO Title, Meta Description, H1 Title as it is possible in the SEO Description from the seo rule sets? If now how can I render short codes?

I went a head and purchase another license, Because I will be using it in another project of mine.

Great zipwebs

Thank you. Insert please this code for example in the functions.php of your active theme: add_filter( 'wpc_seo_title', 'do_shortcode' ); add_filter( 'wpc_seo_description', 'do_shortcode' ); add_filter( 'wpc_seo_h1', 'do_shortcode' );

Worked perfectly fine! Thanks so much.

I would like to know if it is possible to activate an hourglass on the page, having many filters it takes some time for the results to be loaded, this could suggest that the site is not working. Thank you

Hello samuelasgarbossa

You can activate AJAX loading icon in Filters -> Settings -> Experimental. Also you can enable waiting cursor and dark overlay if you need. Also you can use own custom animation if you are familiar with CSS. In this case you can edit CSS rules for the .wpc-spinner element.

Hello Thanks for making such a cool plugin!

I had some questions, i am using Avada and have this custom catalog page created that uses CPT- https://www.homecarepulse.com/hcpcoursecatalog/

I wanted to use your plugin to replace the side bar i have now and have your plugin interact with the post card element on the right. Is that possible? i have the pro version.

Hello dannyhomecarepulse

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO.

Sure, you can filter your posts inserted with Avada Post Card element. Just specify correct value in “Where to filter?” and in “And what to filter?” fields of the Filter Set.

Pre sale question. Does this work for non Woocommerce site? I’m building a listing platform and would love to implement such filter.

Hello kt168

Sorry for the late response, I didn’t feel good last serveral days.

Indeed, you can not combine arbitrary permalink structure with Filter Everything PRO defined URL structure. This task is unsolvable by definition. But you can use Filter Everything PRO without permalinks it is also possible. Just add in the functions.php of your active theme next code: define( 'FLRT_PERMALINKS_ENABLED', false );

I hope you’re feeling better now after some rest Stepasuk.

The main selling point of Filter Everything is to have access to filtered items via a specific slug for SEO. If I turn off the Filter Everything PRO permalinks as you’ve suggested, then it brings no benefits to SEO because I’m left with only the filter function, without the ability to set filter permalinks for SEO purposes.

kt168

Yes, i’m feeling better, thank you.

I understand this your position. But in theory you want to combine some system of URLs structure with arbitrary URLs. Technically it is possible (and Permalinks Manager plugin demonstrates this), but requires to use many server resources to handle all simultaneously – WordPress native structure, FIlter Everything structure and arbitrary URLs. That’s why I didn’t add to my plugin such mechanism which provides this.

So you have to decide what is better for you – to use FE permalinks with predefined structure and arbitrary slugs without Permalinks Manager or to use FE without permalinks but with Permalinks Manager.

Hello Stepasyuk, I got problem with displaying On sale products. My setup is https://hanak.top-me.eu/filter_sale.png but as U can see here: https://hanak.top-me.eu/kategorie-produktu/hodinky/sleva-yes/ filter is not showing any sale products. I can’t set filter logic to AND – could it be the reason? Thank you for your help. Olaf

Hello anoagency

I checked this and it seems now it works as expected – by the link you provided all 18 products are “On sale”. It seems you have different templates and different WP_Query for your Shop and Product category pages. So it requires to have two separate Filter Sets – for the Shop page and for your Product Category pages.

Hello Stepasyuk, thanks for reply, it was product import issue.

Hello I need to use Weglot with my website which is a plugin that is use on many websites (at least here in Europe) but their is incompatibility with your plugin. As soon as weglot is activated yours stop to work. Further more, even if I add all attribute to my product pages, is very often that the filters doesnt work. Could you heLp please? Thanks

Hello ?

Hello Sarahmey

Thank you for using Filter Everything PRO and sorry for the late response.

In general I didn’t test my plugin with Weglot, but it is 100% compatible with WPML and Polylang multilanguage plugins. I can only add your request to my development schedule and check/fix compatibility with Weglot in further updates. But unfortunately I can’t say you when exaclty this will happen as I have other more urgent development plans. I will notify you about this here in the comments section.
