WooCommerce is a ecommerce plugin, something like “woocommerce gateway”. Otherwise, you may sell UMP Memberships via Woo by using Woo payment services.

Yes, if you link the Membership with a Woo product it will be activated automatically.
UMP is integrated with Woo plugin, not Woo subscription.

I have a client who finds the Donations/Dynamic Pricing feature on registration less clear than it could be. They believe their members will be confused when they add a donation amount, then that entry updates the cost of the membership pricing. I understand that this is how dynamic pricing is supposed to work, but is it possible to detail the membership pricing and add-on contribution amount separately? I think that would help to minimize confusion.

When adding a donation amount, the membership pricing is updated to reflect the added amount. This is potentially confusing. It seems that it would be a better idea to leave the membership/level pricing as specified, then show the donation amount as a separate line item detail. And, of course, the total amount to be billed in a summary detail line item.

Via Stripe Connect only credit cards can be used, is the only method available for simple and recurring charges also.

Custom payment services installed in Woo can be used into Woo script only. Still, UMP allows you to sell Memberships via Woo as Woo products.
You can sell access to each product if is necessary, as a one time fee. via Pay Per Post Addon.
Thank you for your promote response, one time fee ? but we need to setup setup an expiration after one year so if the user subscribe to a specific Ebook, they have to subscribe again next year to access it.
On this case you will have to setup one recurring Subscription for each of those articles.

Your desired workflow is not entirely clear. BuddyPress and UMP are both based on WP users, so will share the same users. That means all BuddyPress users will be able to sign on Memberships without any problem.
