Hi, I’m having a problem. I uploaded the script in my local server. The preview image looks fine, but when I click to download it, everything turns to black (I think it may be a problem with the fill scrip).
I’m running a PHP 8.1, with imagick e gd properly installed.
Hello, This is the second report of this problem in a short time. Can you confirm that this problem presents itself using both GD and IGK?
Could you please send us more information about your environment? More specifically, the os and its version, the version of GD and imagick.

when I click download of the avatar, it ends up to be a mostly black image, might be with just the earrings, etc, but mostly like a black square. anyone else have the same issue?

Hello, I don’t use Vue so I’m unable to offer support on an integration with the framework. You could embed the AM inside your application using an iframe. Using the REST api only requires you to create a frontend from scrach.
It’s hard to answer about the performances, using ImageMagick you get a bit more speed than GD but the number of concurrent users you would be able to serve depends on your server’s hardware. You would need a bit of RAM too. The AM is stateless so you could easily run multiple instances on as many servers as you need using a load balancer in front of them.

Hey, love the script. I was wondering, when the image downloads I notice that it’s darker than the preview from the site. If I right-click the preview image from the site and download that, it looks exactly as previewed. Seems like a filter or something being put on during render? I am unsure.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Hello, it’s the first time someone reports this strange behavior. There are no filters applied to the rendered images. The preview is rendered client-side in a canvas while the final image by PHP on the server as such subtle differences are to be expected but not complete color changes.

It was browser cache! Now, I’m having another problem. I can’t use gradient layers because of a black stroke that shows up when rendered. There’s any way to use gradients layers?
The AM doesn’t apply any stoke to the layers. Are you using GD or Imagick? I’m sorry but without any example picture, it’s hard for me to grasp the problem. With gradient layer, do you mean an overlay?
Just purchased this, only to find it uses a LOT of PHP, I need it to work ONLY on HTML (for an phone App) how easy will it be to get it to work this way?
I did a search for jQuery on here and yours came up, and did not spot it was in PHP

Hello, Unfortunately, the script needs PHP. There is no way of removing this dependency.

The avatar maker doesn’t offer an admin panel. You can see from the documentation the exact procedure for adding new layers and avatars but essentially you have to upload your files to a folder and edit the configuration in a PHP file. Any developer with a basic knowledge of PHP can easily operate the AM.

Hello, Yes the AvatarMaker is maintained. It has not been updated in a while because no bugs where reported and the script works the way it should. It is compatible with all the latest PHP versions. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I’m not familiar with either of the two services but from a quick look, they appear to be based on the same concept as the AM. You can check out our demo here. https://demo.inochiteam.com/avatarmaker/ The concept is to merge multiple PNG images into one building the final artwork layer by layer.
To use the AM you don’t need advanced coding skills, the only file you have to edit is the configuration on which is a fully documented PHP file.

Hello, unfortunately, the AM doesn’t support the creation of animated gifs. The PHP GD library doesn’t support this function and because we wanted to keep full compatibility with both Imagick and GD we never implemented this functionality.

Hello, whenever I upload a new item image to any existing category, it offsets the images in the thumbnail box of the editor, as well when I select the new item (at the end of the list) it fills the entire preview with a color instead of updating to that new item.
I have also simply tried taking a hair, head, and ear from the demo, renaming it and uploading only to get the same results. I have cleared the cache every time. Any insight would be great!
Hello and thank you for purchasing the AvataMaker. I saw this behavior before and it was due to either cache issues or misconfiguration. From your comment, I’m not sure if you cleared both the browser’s and AvatarMaker’s cache. You should clear both and in the case of the AM, you should delete every file in the cache directory but not the directory itself. If clearing both caches doesn’t solve your issue, check the sizes for the source images and cache in the configuration file, there may be an error there. Hope you are doing well. I have support for the avatar program and wanted to know how to increase the height of the “preview screen” where you see what you are designing.
I’ve increased the size of where the assets are but the preview of what is being design looked squashed. Here is an example of what I mean.

Hello, The only way to update the script in your context is to use some kind of tool to show the differences and manually insert the new code in the old one (or the modifications in the newer).

Hey first of all, I’ve been eyeing this thing for a while now and I finally bought it and I’m really excited to try it!
Now that’s out of the way, I noticed the documentation has broken links when I click the “Avatar Layers” or the “Custom Language” in the Custom Layers section. And the offline version of this documentation doesn’t seem to link properly to each page that I have to use the online version. (Just leads me to an index of files).

The documentation included in the archive is a clone of the online one and as such is more optimized to be served by a web server (that, asking for a folder, would automatically send the index page). We highly encourage using the online version as it’s always up to date.

Thank you for the fast response. I got my install up and running last night. Now I noticed the mobile version isn’t exactly the best when it comes to scrolling, and I saw a comment earlier on how to fix it but well,
I opened the .css file but it’s just one long bulky line of code.
Actually, with some trial and error and a bunch of online scss converters, I managed to get the preview panel sticky for mobile view. Thank you again for this script! Looking forward customising this.
