This is very tricky, it seems that the get_field method is returning an array.
If you know some PHP I can tell you where you can add some condition to extract the value from the array, but it would require some logic and PHP knowledge from your end

it would required some PHP knowledge, but open the class_media_boxes_shortcode.php file and find this:

$output         = get_field($output);

you have 2 options in order to update the plugin:
1) remove the plugin from your Wordpress dashboard, and re-upload the new version (don’t worry your options/settings wont be removed)

2) or just replace the plugin’s folder via FTP (in wp-content/plugins/wp_media_boxes)

Hi David, thanks a lot. It worked. But I have another question: I´m migrating my website, so I cloned the whole website with softacuolous but now media boxes does not seem to work. The media files are there, the plugin is there too, the post metadata of the images seems to be there too. But no thumbnails appear. Any general tip on how to proceed in this case?

Ohhh, yes it is possible, the data depends, if you want the Wordpress version, the data could be handle by adding a “custom post type” OR by manually importing the images from your WP Media Library

and if you want to use the jQuery/stand alone version, you need to place the data manually in the HTML (the URL for your images and the links for your PDF’s), but this version is not compatible with WordPress pages though
