Does the media library include a way to identity images that are no longer showing on any page or post on my site? This seems to happen after various site updates: I can’t tell which images are no longer in use and so can be safely deleted.

Thanks for your question, Silhouettist. Real Media Library do not offer a feature like that. Unfortunately, this is already pretty complex in WordPress because not all plugins follow best practices. Therefore, you would need to crawl each subpage of your website to find out where uploads are used (or not used).

Best regards,

Jan

Hi! Danke für deine Nachricht. Bitte entpacke das heruntergeladene ZIP und du erhältst eine installierbare real-media-library.zip Datei. Grüße, Matthias :-)

What a great plugin, thank you from our entire web team at https://dariaseramd.com . It made our lives easier, and creating a folder per focus keyword is a huge must nowadays – to avoid duplicate images that look the same, but have different names. Again, huge thank you!

Glad to hear you like Real Media Library. We would love to see your review on https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-media-library-media-categories-folders/reviews/13155134 to share your opinion with others!

Hi there,

I am using folder-gallery shortcode to display galleries for my page. I run into troubles with image url.

\\

As you see, the srcset urls are rendered correctly, but I can’t figure out why my “href” url is wrong in all cases.

Can you help?

Since updating to the latest version and WordPress 5.8 I can no longer change the folder location of a picture or video. I change the folder and when I go back to check the folder it has reverted to the previous location.

You need Real Media Library 4.13.12 or newer for WordPress 5.8 and newer, because some technical structures have changed in the last WordPress update. Please install the latest version of our plugin in your WordPress! If you have activated your license, you will see the update in your WordPress under Dasboard > Updates.

If you have a version older than 4.1.0 (released in 2018), you have to download the update once manually at codecanyon.net/downloads (that’s where you bought Real Media Library), because only from version 4.1.0 updates are shown in your WordPress.

I have already installed 4.13.12. I always keep my plugins up-to-date. I think this may be a WordPress issue as I cannot add/change a featured image either. It will not save the change.

Hi again! Thanks for your follow-up. Can you please contact us via https://devowl.io/support so we can provide further support? Regards, Matthew :-)

Hello, why didn’t I get a reply when I left a message on your official website?

Hi from another author. I am using your plugin and just want to let you know that your register_rest_route function is not well implemented.

PHP Notice: register_rest_route was called <strong>incorrectly</strong>. The REST API route definition for <code>realmedialibrary/v1/reset/debug</code> is missing the required <code>permission_callback</code> argument. For REST API routes that are intended to be public, use <code>__return_true</code> as the permission callback. Please see <a href="https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/">Debugging in WordPress</a> for more information. (This message was added in version 5.5.0.)</<code /></code>

Hi there! What version of RML are you using? Regards, Matthew :-)

I am using the latest one.

Which one exactly? Sorry, I need to ask because this issue was fixed a long time ago. Regards, Matthew :-)

hi, before to order, 2 questions : your plugin support php8 ? and your plugin support “webp” images extensions (like the new wordpress) ? thank you

Hi williamgrant06,

PHP 8: We have done basic tests and the basic functionality works with PHP 8. If you run a production website, I can highly recommend to stick to PHP 7.4 until end of the year for the best compatibility.

WEBP: We support all file extensions that your WordPress support. So, WEBP works.

Best regards,

Jan

Hello again, i am trying to insert images into a basic gallery using Jupiter X and Elementor and the available images to view inside any folder has been restricted. One folder has 75 images, but i can only see 40 and no other images load in. Also, the media library search area goes over the top of the first row of images making it harder to see them. How to I get all images in a folder to be viewable?

For example, if i click ‘all files’ i only see 40 with no other way of getting the other images i have uploaded to show.

found the problem, plugin conflict with Media Library Assistant.

Great to hear, that you was able to solve the issue on your own!

the plugin works fine with root user, but with other users, it shows a empty page for the media library

Hi,

this usually happens, if one of your 3rd-party-plugins restricts the WP REST API. You can learn more about the topic at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/wordpress-rest-api-does-not-respond/

Can you please check if this is the case?

Best regards,

Jan

Hi, Any chance you will be providing support for the Bricksbuilder.io Theme? Thanks

Hi Multivariate,

what exactly do not work, if you use the Bricksbuilder.io theme?

Best regards,

Jan

Hi Jan,

I don’t know. I obviously have not purchase your plugin. I was looking at it and I notice that you don’t include that theme in your list of themes the plugin works with. I do have the theme and I know there are a lot of plugins that don’t integrate with it yet. So, I asked. That’s all.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Hi Multivariate,

great to hear again from you. As Bricksbuilder.io is a paid only theme, I cannot test it for you before purchasing the plugin, but in general, if the theme follows best-practices in WordPress development, it should be compatible.

In the case Real Media Library do not work with your theme after purchasing, I can offer you a refund

Best regards,

Jan

Hi there, I have enabled debug mode to solve a problem i am having with another plugin and debug is showing me the following errors from your plugin

Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /home/customer/www/alsalf.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/inc/others/AdvertHandler.class.php on line 180

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/customer/www/alsalf.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/inc/others/AdvertHandler.class.php:180) in /home/customer/www/alsalf.uk/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6362

how do i go about fixing this?

Hi tokyomagic,

which version of Real Media Library do you use? The latest version is 4.13.12. If you do not use the latest version, please update and try, if the errors are gone.

Best regards,

Jan

Version 2.7.2

Does this plugin not provide updates through wordpress?

Auto-updates was introduced in version 4.1.0 (2018). Back then, you have got an email that you should update manually to get automatic updated in the future.

Please just try to install the latest updates. I think that solves your issue, and you will get updates in the future automatically.

Hello, I’m planning to move all my website under a new domain with a fresh WordPress install. Is there a way to import/export the real folder structure when we use “Physical Custom Upload Dir for Real Media Library”?

Your solution :

“1. Export the folder structure under Settings > Media > Real Media Library > Import/Export. 2. Export the content you want to move to the new website using the official WordPress export tool. 3. Import the content you want to move to the new website using the official WordPress import tool. 4. Install Real Media Library on your new website. 5. Import the folder structure under Settings > Media > Real Media Library > Import/Export.”

replicate only the virtual structure, not the real one.

Do I need an ad-don or another of your plugins to be able to import/export the real structure?

Thanks

Hi NexusFred,

“Physical Custom Upload Dir for Real Media Library” is a free add-on that only work on uploading a file. It will not work for your use case.

Real Physical Media (https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-real-physical-media-physical-media-library-folders-seo-rewrites/23104206) as a better alternative. It allows you to mirror the virtual folder structure into the physical folder structure, even if you have uploaded the files before installing Real Physical Media. This is exactly what you need because after importing the virtual folder structure (“uploaded in standard file structure”), you have to reflect it into the physical one.

I hope that helps you further!

Best regards,

Jan

Hello,

we would like to migrate the whole wordpress library from one Website with “Real media Library” to another website with this premium plugin.

However the plugin import / export just copied the folder structure not the media inside.

When using the wordpress built-in import/export it copies all media into the folder “uncategorized”.

How can we migrate all the media files into the correct folder?

Regards, Andreas Prinz

Hi Andreas!

My license key isnt working and i have not used it yet. Is it possible to detect if this key is used anywhere else?

Hi there! Can you please send us your purchase code via https://devowlio/support and we will reset your license. Regards, Matthew :-)

I am getting an “open_basedir restriction in effect” error. It states that “File(/real-media-library-en_US.mo) is not within the allowed path(s)” I have looked for this file but it does not seem to exist on the server. It is missing from the “public/wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/languages/” directory.

Would you be able to correct this issue?

Thank you,

James Cooper

Hi James! Yeah, we already have a fix for this but not yet published. Can you please contact us via https://devowl.io/support so we can send it to you? Regards, Matthew :-)

I just purchased your product and was wondering how to update my free version to the Pro version? I’ve downloaded the files, just need to know how to upload it onto my website.

Hi LottManagement,

in our knowledge base at https://devowl.io/knowledge-base/codecanyon-upgrade-free-to-pro-version/, you find an article how to upgrade from the free- to the PRO-version.

Jan

Pre-purchase question

Is the plugin capable of putting the orphan images (not used in article, posts, custom-post-type, etc.) to be put in a temporary folder we can create or anything like that?

What an amazing feature that would be to have for media rich sites that want to manage their storage over time. This is something that “Media Cleaner” & “WP -Optimize” plugin currently do but I don’t want to install them over you.

Regards SA

Hi there! Unfortunately this is not the scope of the plugin. Do you want to have an automatically generated folder e.g. “Unused media” where all unused media is placed automatically? Regards, Matthew :-)

Hi, I’ve been experiencing some trouble with my media library loading. It keeps timing out. Would you kindly provide me with a previous version of the plugin to rule out the newest update as the cause of this error?

Here’s my purchase code: cbdf98bd-fbf5-46af-9fc1-d45a76bba1cd

Hi there! Thanks for your message. What happens if you deactivate Real Media Library completely, does your media library load then? What version of RML are you currently using? Regards, Matthew :-)
