I am thinking of using this plugin to run an ideas board just so I know is it possible with css/ shortcode/ or easily to change the wording on the “ask the question” button to “got an Idea” or to remove it all together ? I assume there are widgets one can use and edit easy enough

We will see what we can do, Also we are not seeing such an issue so it is most likely that is a conflict with the theme or another plugin, so if you need support with the issue please contact support.

Unfortunately this isn’t easy and we currently do not have any plan for this.

Please make sure that the user belongs to that role only and not other user roles that have the permission.

You can do so from Questions -> Answers -> Fields -> Manage Form.

Regarding the font issue. Your plugin is using old fontawesome css we are using latest version of fontawesome in our theme. So in new fontawesome some icons classes changed for example: the social share icons for question and answer button (envelope icon), delete question (trash icon) icons are not working when using latest version of fontawesome.
Also please let me know how we setup User Profile pages and how it works?
I have aded image attachemnt field, but those images are opening in a new tab when click instead of any lightbox, they have rel=”prettyphoto ” tag but there is no JS file linked inside plugin.

No, that is not possible.
Sabai Discuss checks the IP address to prevent duplicate votes by guest users. It is not perfect, however it works fine. You can also disable guest voting by not allowing guests to vote by configuring permissions.
