Hello, thanks for creating this plugin.
I bought it yesterday but hours later I found out that it has a big limitation for me. When enabled, it does not allow me to access mp3 files using the HTTP method “206 Partial Content”. This method allows the audio player we use in the site to be able to forward and rewind inside the mp3, or starting playback from the middle of the audio, for example.
With the plugin enabled, this feature is unavailable, breaking an important part of our audio player.
Would you suggest a workaround to fix this?

If I understood well, your plugin can protect everyfile which are inside the uploads folder, even with a classic pdf (not with your PDF reader which I’ve discovered just yesterday)? Presale question, i need to use in my woocommerce your pdf flip book viewer… But i want to let access once the pdf is paid, only access for 2 month and restrict the access by IP, so my client can only access using the computer wich he used to pay the access. Can i do it with your 2 plugin ??

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to restrict access to a specific sub-folder inside the uploads folder to admins only? Only this subfolder needs to be restricted.

Hello! I have the PDF viewer plugin on WordPress. I’m looking to allow users to purchase on a per PDF basis and those that purchased it will be allowed to view it via PDF viewer. Those that do not purchase it will not be able to access it and will be brought to a buy now link.

Hi rontsh, Which system or plugin are you using for purchase ? The current version of WP File Access Manager allows you to restrict files by individual user or user role, so you can restrict files to purchased only but you’ll need to set permissions for users manually.
However, We’re working on a feature to integrate with WooCommerce Products which will be added in a recent update. This will allow you to restrict files based on woocommerce order.

Thanks for the prompt reply ThemeNcode. I’m looking at adding WooCommerce to the website as well to handle the payment portion.
How soon will your new feature be out? It should be ideal for my situation where I can sell the PDF online and restrict it to only users who paid for that PDF content. Will only allow it to be printed and view but not downloaded.

Hi, can I protect video files like mp4 from being downloaded by non-logged in users? While this mp4 file can be played by video players like FV Player or Ultimate Video Player? So visitors can’t retrieve download the mp4 file from the source or DOM. Thank you.
Hi Sacoda, WP File Access Manager can help you restrict the file to logged in users only, but no such feature to make it visible in video player but not downloadable. Download protection feature may be offered within the video player plugins, I am not sure if any plugin offers though.

I purchased PDF Viewer for wordpress which works fine. But i need to restric access to parts of a pdf file not the whole file.
Readers want to taste an ebook before purchasing (more like the ‘Look Inside’ feature on Amazon Kindle).
can this plugin do the same—restricting say the first 20 or 30 pages of a file?
Hi Atabo, There are no options to display part of the pdf yet, Its only possible if you do some additional work (Creating another pdf file with first few pages).
