I’ve just tested it and everythign works fine, please make sure that you add a playlist URL it has to have the list= example here, string in it otherwise it will show the error that you sent me.

For some reason, the buttons on the player aren’t showing up (casting, speed, settings/quality) – but only for certain playlists. It’s very strange. I am using the SAME player preset, and the buttons show up on one playlist, but not the others. Have you run into this before or have any ideas how to fix it?

Of course the best way to finally solve the problem is to ask for help, and then stumble across the solution immediately after. Happens more times than I can count. Doesn’t matter how long I’ve tried to solve it before asking for help – ask for help and I have a epiphany. Hahaha.
Turns out I was just forgetting to use the “Video File Links” generated by Vimeo, rather than the normal video link.

I just bough your player a couple of days ago and am trying and trying to get it to play my m3u8 stream but it just looks like it’s buffereing. The stream is good because I have 2 other players on the page and they both play it. Obviously I have not activated something. Can you tell me what I need to do to get a m3u8 stream playing? Thanks.

I was entering in the playlist manager to add a new playlist and in a second all my old playlist got deleted! More than 50 playlists deleted! There is a way to “import” playlists? I have site and database backup done daily, but dont know how to “export” the playlists from the db and how to import them. There is a way? Thanks. BTW I think you should add a way to export/import a full settings and playlists backup via a CSV or XML or other file type for events like these.

The latest version has some serious code modifications related to security as Envato is requiring now… I suspect the old files were mixed with the new ones because of browser cache or maybe you gave a cache plugin installed.
Every time you update a plugin or theme first thing you should do is to clear the browser cache to avoid this kind of issues.
Yes I will add in a future update import/export in a future update, I already tried but failed 
Please revert your WordPress to a prevoius update than install the new one, clear the browser cache and than it should work fine.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was not upldating the playlist from at least 6 months so I think it was “old” compared to the new code and got deleted. Unfortunately my latest backup will let me loose the last 5 hours of jobs, orders and a lot of stuff and I would like to avoid that. Since I understand that there is no way to import the playlist data, At least could you explain where to look in the db for the playlist datas, in that way I will add all the playlists again having a list with ID, playlist name, video url and some other info. So could you point me to the right db table where to look at those data in my old backup? Thanks

The playlist markup is HTML, this contains all the videos sources and info, title, description and other data, this HTML markup is indexed by Google so yes it is SEO optimized.

Works fine on FF… maybe because I’m using AD Block Pro in Chrome to block Google Tracking (imagine blocking google while using their browser lol)

Good day – Is it possible to create a video page similar to what instagram or pinterest looks like on desktop.
I have 6-10 vertical videos shot on cell phones. I would like to have them sit side by side in their natve aspect ratio. Self hosted. It would look very similar to pinterest expect they’d be videos and each would have thier own play button etc..
As a side thought, I don’t want to use YouTube or Venmo because on the desktop they make them wide aspect ratio and when you play the cell phone video is small in the center.
Can I do that with your plugin? Also is the plugin light weight and fast, not slowing page load down too much?

For this is more suited the Easy Video Player, you can add as many instance as you want in the page, as for the layout it up to you how you create it in your page, there is not plugin that can do exactly what you need but you can make it work with a bit of work…

What is the difference between that and this? The info look pretty much the same as I read down it. Is it just that there can be multiple instances. What does ultimate have that it doesn’t?
I’m good with creating a custom layout for the pages. No worries there. Would the videos still keep the 9:16 cell portrait aspect ratio when played on desktop and mobile?

EVP is lighter and dose not use playlists, it was made specially for playing single videos without playlists, other that that they have the same advanced features, VAST, Google Adsense, Subtitles etc…

Thanks Tibi for the excellent support. EVP (easy video player) is excellent. If anyone is an an Oxygen Page Builder user. Make sure to go into the section or div settings and changed the layout from flex to block. After that it plays great with Oxygen.

If I would like to show live streaming from my webcam, does the plugin come with preconfigured tools to display webcam live streaming easily ? 3. If webcam live streaming is possible, who handles the live streaming backend ? If I manage a pay per video site with 100’s of users launching webcam live streams, I will need streaming server to handle media transport. Hi, the Google Analytics seem not to work for me as they should. The event is sent to GA only at the end of a video, never before. If a video does not reach the end, there is no record in GA. Is there anything I can do to make it work?
I would also have two recommendations which are in my opinion important:
1) There should be an option to exclude logged-in administrator. It can not be done in GA as with GDPR you have to have IPs anonymized. So you can’t exclude your IP in GA.
2) In order to have some understanding of each video usage, (and to be able to report video usage to clients) we always have to have an information how many users saw 25% of the video, how many 50%, 75% and 100%. These are the basic stats we really need and I believe are standard in business environment. It would be great help if there is some way how to get these.

Yes the event is sent when the video has finished playing either by getting to the end or when the use is changing the video and it also show how much of the video was watched in percentage.
I could improve this to also add an event for when the video starts playing, but is impossible to send events every time the video is updated, it will make the graph unreadable…

The plugins usually sends event at start, then at 25% etc. A user very often does not let the video play to the end or changes the web page without stoping video. The way how it is – the GA has no clue how many users actually played the video. This way the plugin is unusable for agencies such as ours. The number of video plays is absolutely key to evaluation of each online campaign. Therefore it must be as reliable as possible.

50 plugins OMG . You must be busy man. Look, the plugin is great in terms of look and feel but I also had a hard time to try to use it with caching / CDN. Unfortunatelly, with the other topics we discussed, it is currently not possible for us to use it. Maybe some future versions. I will keep my eye on it but for now I will step back and ask for refund. Thanks.

I have clients that are using it in LMS.
About download it has a few layers of security for example right click is deisabled and the video source can be encrypted, unforteuntaly it is not possible to secure it 100%, no player can do this because of the way HTML is built to be opened.
