Howdy,
1. In Woocommerce / Product, how can I apply or easily copy the same settings for the “Upload box/File browser” shortcode/settings to several products. Now it seams I have to create a new Upload box for each and every product? This is going to take a loooong time.
2. In Woocommerce / Edit order, you can see what the customer have uploaded into their Private Folder. But you as admin only seem to be able to upload files from your computer and not able to browse your Google Drive directly from the Edit Order page and add files this way. This would be very helpful. Now the work around is to add files from you Google Drive or use the File Explorer in the “User-your-drive” admin menu of course.
3. In WooCommerce / Product, if I create an editable Google Spreadsheet in a Template folder. And in the Upload Box shortcode settings set the Private Folder to add this file from the Template Folder automatically. Will this make a copy of the Google Spreadsheet and keep the editable possibility? I have tried to do this, but it seems to break the upload possibility instead?
I also created a ticket but though it could be interesting for others to know as well.
Cheers
Thanks for your questions! Let me try to comment on them:
- There isn’t an easy way to copy the settings for the integration settings to other products, other than just copy-pasting the shortcode itself (available under ‘Edit Shortcode manually’. But this is the case for all product data like linked Products/attributes etc, correct?
- The administrator can indeed only see the order folder itself. I understand what you are looking for and will check if it is feasible to add support for this in the future. Most people basically just use Google software on their device so you can simply access the files on their Google Drive via your own device as well.
- Good question! The template folder will be copied to the product folder so it should also keep the sharing permissions on the files. I am not sure why the upload functions breaks when you do this, so I will investigate this and contact you when I have more information!

Thanks for a quick reply.
1. Ok, still fairly early stage of adding products so can hopefully just do copies of a product and the upload shortcode will hopefully follow.
2. I think this will be helpful. If you already are handling an order in WooC you wouldn’t have to navigate elsewhere and potentially click yourself to the correct folder in Google Drive.
3. Thanks, I will test some more my end as well.
I want to report a plugin conflict with wordpress: with the plugin active an error occurs when it is necessary to delete a user from the wordpress admin panel
Hello guys, presale question: How this plugin works in order to submit media from front end? for example in a listing theme users can submit media for every listing they create, can this plugin save and serve the media uploaded in GDrive and then remove it from the local server? in order to use it in front end maybe one needs to change the default upload media folder in wp-config so is the plugin creating a real subfolder on local server that can be set as the default upload media folder? Thanks!
Thanks for your question!
The Use-your-Drive plugin is a standalone and doesn’t integrate into the Media Library or replace it. So you will not able to use it instead of the Media Library nor can it upload your media files in the Media Library to Google Drive.
Instead, the plugin modules (File Browser / Gallery / Upload Box / Media Player / etc.) can display content stored on your Google Drive directly on you WordPress site. You place those modules on your pages and configure it according to your wishes.
Files that are uploaded with the Upload Box of the plugin are directly transferred to Google Drive and don’t pass your server at all.
I hope this answers your question! Feel free to fully test the plugin via https://demo.wpcloudplugins.com/ on both Front-End and Back-End to see if it fits your requirements.

Hi there, I am currently reviewing some accessibility and see I can’t navigate through a google drive embed using keyboard functions.
I have no idea the level or work involved, but do you think for a future update it’s possible to make it so a user can navigate through the folders, resources via keyboard?
Thanks!
Thanks for your question! You have a fair point, the current rendering of the plugin is lacking some keyboard accessibility. I am not sure if I will be able to improve this in the current framework of the plugin as it wasn’t designed with this in mind. Many thanks for notifying me about this, and I will definitely have a closer look at it in one of the next updates.

Hi can we change desgine of your page by css? or do you have temprate? in the plugin?
The layout of the modules is more or less fixed. However, you can of course always customize it to your needs with custom CSS.
I hope this answers your question! Feel free to fully test the plugin via https://demo.wpcloudplugins.com/ on both Front-End and Back-End to see if it fits your requirements.

hello may i know using disk level and free level of Google drive
I am not sure if I understand this question completely. The plugin is displaying your files as stored on your Google Drive so you are only limited by the Amount of space on your Google Drive Account which can be different per Google plan. The free plan is 15GB.
I hope that answers your question.

I have an urgent support ticket in at your support site since yesterday. The software is not showing the folders and files on Google Drive. This is a live site with clients and large accounts being affected. Please get back to me. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for your comment and I have received your support request. Unfortunately, due to the COVID lockdown here in The Netherlands it is quite difficult to keep providing fast support at the moment as you are used to. I will definitely have a closer look at this in the next 24 hours and will get back to via your support ticket when I have more information.

Thank you! This is a great plugin! It’s worked well for years.
As mentioned its an urgent matter. We are all pretty locked down due to COVID & I hope you are well. Not sure how this impacts the ability to work online but I do appreciate your responding in the next 24 hours hopefully with a solution to this very costly program. I’ve renewed my support for a full year.
Thanks! Joe
Pre purchase question
The button to embed a file, is it possible to add that button outside the default page/post editor? If I need to create a form, how can I add this button? Can it be added anywhere by shortcode, for example?
Thanks for your question. The ‘embed file’ button is only present in the page editor. If you want to allow users to attach files to a form submission, you can take a look at one of the form plugin integrations (documentation). Those integrations will allow you to add an Upload field to the form itself and will store the attachments on Google Drive

Yes thank you. But I would like to let my members publish posts with videos frontend, on my website. Videos that they have uploaded to their private folder using use-my-drive, and then embed to that post. Will the embed button show on a wysiwyg editor from WPform?
can i post 1 video per post and the video will play automatically
This plugin has been a bit stressful as it keeps not showing the folders within… i have to continually keep purging cache and it comes back, only for a day later for it to happen again where I don’t see folders but see the files
Hi, just purchased and installed. Pretty happy so far but my only issue is that the videos in my drive I am wishing to display only display 3 videos even though there are 20 videos. All videos have permissions set to view to public but still only 3 show from both folders I have configured.
Hi, I have just installed the plugin. I wish that all uploads from my wordpress any page which will be mainly pdf files should directly to google drive. What should be done? I am trying but all uploads are still happening at local end only.
Thanks for your question! The plugin will not replace the default upload functionality of WordPress itself, but all files that are uploaded via the File Browser/Upload Box of Use-your-Drive will be directly uploaded to Google Drive. There isn’t something you have to do for this, only adding a File Browser / Upload box module of Use-your-Drive to a WordPress page is sufficient.

Does this work with WP version 4.x? Also how does this work if website is using cloudflare? Will it affect the uploads limits? Thanks in advance.
The plugin requires WordPress 5.2+ and PHP 7.0+ with cURL extension and will not work with anything lower. The plugin will work fine with Cloudflare.
You don’t have an upload limits when using this plugin as the uploads are directly send from the users device to Google Drive. So the files will not pass your webserver at all.
I hope that answers your questions!

Thanks for your quick reply, i am interested in the plugin but need to look over some upgrade of wordpress first. Is there any plugin like this you have written that does the same but you can direct the uploads towards something like an ftp server instead of gdrive?
Unfortunately not. The WP Cloud Plugins are only designed to interact with cloud providers and not with ftp servers.
Note that WordPress 5.0 was already released more than two years ago, so I would definitely recommend you to update WordPress itself to make sure that you can keep using the framework for the long term.

Hello, Prebuy question
Is it possible to integrate with woocommerce and create customer upload page before order. The checkout page need to calculate the item price taking in consideration the number of images uploaded ?
I am interested in using the plugin in various projects. I have a “correspondence” directory that has more than 1200 files, can the plugin list, sort and search them without problem?
Yes, that is possible. However for performance reasons, it is recommend to keep the number of files in a folder to <250 (not counting content in subfolders). More files will always increase the resources used as in the end the plugin has to talk to the API and display the files in the browser.
- Floris
Some last questions: 1) the resources that are consumed are by the server of my website, correct? 2) It is not possible to reduce the number of files, but even if it takes time, after the directories are loaded, will it be possible to use the filters and the search normally? 3) Does the plugin manage some kind of cache to avoid the consumption of resources at every opportunity?
- I was mainly referring the to the amount of API calls that need to be made to list a folder containing 1200+ files. That simply takes more time than smaller folders. Besides that, as the plugin doesn’t support pagination the 1200+files will be added to the DOM of the browser which can cause issues on mobile devices for instance.
- Yes, that is possible. Please note that the plugin doesn’t have a filter function on the Front-End but only a sorting option and a search option. Searching inside the folder, will fire a new API call as it searches in the content & descriptions of the documents as well.
- Indeed! The plugin has a cache on board to get the best loading performance and reduce the number of API calls that are required.
Feel free to fully test the plugin via https://demo.wpcloudplugins.com/ on both Front-End and Back-End to see if it fits your requirements. If you have any further questions, just let me know!

Hi, I’ve had no issues with this for about 3 years but now I simply get, ‘Oops! This shouldn’t happen… Try again! I can’t work it out. Latest version and it shows in elementor backend, but not live on the site? I know it could be another plugin, but this would be weird as everything has always worked and i’ve deactivated many to test. Anything you could think of?
Hi there, I have an issue with the pop-out overlay within the reports sections. It basically freezes and I can’t click or interact then with any of the elements within that for drilling down content stats etc.
I expect a conflict somewhere, is that something you can help with? Thanks
hello, i use all import to import gigantic XML, all images go to the wordpress library, its plugin would replace the native library? i wish so!
Use-your-Drive doesn’t integrate into the Media Library or replace it, so you will not able to use it instead of the Media Library nor can it upload your media files in the Media Library to Google Drive.
Instead, you can use one of the plugin modules (Gallery / File Browser / Media Player / etc.), place that on your WordPress page and configure it according to your wishes.

Good evening, I have to create a private area connected to google drive … let me explain better I have to allow certain users, through the reserved area, to access documents uploaded to google drive. Can I make it with your plugin?
Yes! The plugin has a feature called Private Folders (documentation). This feature allows you to link each user to a specific folder on Google Drive. The user will not be able to navigate outside their own folder.
You don’t need the Private Folders f your users that should have access to a specific folder on your Google Drive all have the same WordPress User Role. In that case, you can simply add a File Browser module to your page pointing to this folder and select the User Role which should have access to that module.
Please note that the cloud plugin itself doesn’t have any User Management Tools on-board which you can use to allow your users to register/login/redirect. The reason for this is that there are so many plugins available that are specially dedicated to do this task. Therefore, the plugins integrate into the default WordPress User System, so you can use an user management plugin available to build the login flow you need.
I hope this answers your question!
- Floris
Is there any way to use your plugin with just simple embedding a shared folder? Without login and linking the google drive account? Like here, but with your nice plugin and all the Upload etc. Features? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/58275949/embedding-a-google-drive-folder-in-wordpress-com
No, you can’t use the plugin to embed a folder using an iframe via the https://drive.google.com/embeddedfolderview?id=YOUR_FOLDER_ID url. The plugin is designed with a different functionality in mind, so you can only show folders via the File Browser module of the plugin. The plugin uses the Google API for its advanced features which requires a linked Google Drive. I hope that this answers your question!
