Hi Tadej, I just checked your site and it seems like the door permalinks are not working. A direct link (e.g. https://attractionsymbols.com/sl/index.php?p=3810) seems to be forwarding to door/1 correctly but then the server return a 404 error.

Could you therefore please:

1.) disable other plugins to make sure there is no conflict with any other plugin? I can recommend to use “Health Check & Troubleshooting” to temporarily disable all plugins.

2.) Please check your Nginx configuration. There are errors why Nginx why post types do return 404 when the rewrite rules do not correctly follow the Nginx format (see https://bobcares.com/blog/nginx-wordpress-permalinks-404-error/#:~:text=To%20be%20precise%2C%20Nginx%20wordpress,and%20made%20permalinks%20working%20again for example). Also you seem to have Redis Cache activated. Not sure if this can be the issue, but make sure to also keep that in mind.

Furthermore, what you can try: register a custom post type (for example with a snippet from https://generatewp.com/post-type/) and see if that works. I hope that helps to find the culprit.

OMG, I solved it. First try was disabling all plugins, and the second was redis plugin. Never would have expected this, redis was the culprit :/ thanks for help!

Hi, thanks, but I wanted doors numbered 1-12. I instead did a 12 day calendar starting on Dec 1 and then manually adjusted all of the start dates.

Hi there, you have to sure that the container from your theme will center the content where santapress shortcode is inserted. Further you should center the santapress container with Custom CSS: .santapress-container { margin:auto }

As for the time: It really depends on the speed of your website (server, wordpress, plugins etc.) since the doors are just regular posts. You can use tools like gtmetrix.com to measure that. Nevertheless you can try to include this single-door.php template in your theme that doesn’t load header and footer code and therefor should make the modal a bit faster: https://gist.github.com/flymke/d0d5754b7698bac584c7990c6f675442 Otherwise I would recommend to talk with your server provider or use a caching plugin.

Hallo Markus, es ist schwierig hier eine Empfehlung für ein Theme zu geben. Es gibt hier auf Themeforest viele gute (auch Weihnachts-) Themes. Ich selber nutze gerne Astra in Kombination mit Elementor oder als Premium Themes z.B. Avada oder Enfold. Yes. But then you’d have to make it manually: You can turn off “Disable past doors” and manually set each day to “draft” after the day is over. This way you can leave door 1 open (=published).

Unfortunately this was not quite what I meant. When I set the door to “draft” it disappears from calendar. I would like past doors to remain visible but so that they cannot be clicked.

I see. You can set them to any future date then (e.g. sometime im January). That would still show them in the calendar. Would that be better?
