This is a pre-purchase question. I have a theme which have different post designs, and there is a post design for Videos. My question is can I bulk import youtube using your plugin which is directly moved to Video posts of the theme (instead of creating new). I understand some plugins create their own posts and new categories, so that wont be helpful.
Yes, you can import videos as WordPress posts or any other custom post type created by your theme. If it has custom meta fields you can set those as well.

Are you sharing the default key with others? We recommend creating your own key to have your own quota.

Then check your key and see if YouTube has reduced your quota to 0.

I’m sorry I have no control on YouTube giving your API key 0 quota. That sounds strange. You will have to ask their support team.
VideoCaptions for yoytube is not working. I already setting it to be on, chose cc youtube videos… but not working at all. too bad.
Sorry just saw this – send PM for support in future. video captions for YouTube entered by the owner for the language requested do work. auto-generated captions are not available through the API. This is explained on the setting’s help icon and in the docs.

Each episode of a podcast is imported as its own post, but you can group them by taxonomy.

What media site are you asking about? I’m not aware of any API calls for video subtitles. Do you mean captions? Do you have an example?
yeah, for youtube media. Like Ted Talks channel, their all videos have caption/subttle on it. How to make it as content on my blog post automatically? I tried VideoCaptions and checked the import caption option… but not working.
Unfortunately auto-generated captions are not available in the YouTube API, only captions uploaded by the video owner.

As per docs: “This only works if the captions for that language have been supplied by the video owner, and does not work if captions were auto-generated. You may use the template tag VideoCaptions in the Post Content Template, or else the captions will be automatically appended to the post content.”
try it yourself, it’s NOT working at all for captions for that language have been supplied by the video owner

Pre-purchase question : if I change the title and the content on the video post created, how does it react ? I’d like to be able to keep my changes on the posts after import and keep the track of the videos embeded from a feed. I had issues with other plugins overwriting my changes when actives.
After import, VBP does not change anything unless you specifically tell it to update the post by re-importing the video again.
Do you offer an unlimited sites license if I want to use this plugin on many of my own websites?
Envato has yet to implement unlimited licenses.

Hello John. Is there a way to upload the Youtube thumbnails to Google Cloud or Amazon S3 and have them still appear in the YouTube video embeds? One more question. The YouTube video descriptions under the videos, sometimes have links. How do you have those links actually “link” and not just appear under the video as a “dead link”, that doesn’t do anything? I bought and installed your plugin and the links in the video descriptions are dead. Here is my website: www.200plusdaily.com, click on one of the videos and look at the video description. Hello. 1 – If I’m understanding you, the thumbnail shown in the YouTube embed frame is handled by the player itself. 2 – Descriptions imported are straight text without html. To linkify any URLs in the description, select ‘Linkify Description URLs’ in the Process the Results tab in the Content Filters metabox.

If you don’t know how to edit a file, try google to match your setup. 3. It doesn’t matter. Anywhere. 1. It means you’ve installed WordPress at http://gettenitin.trysumethingnew.site/wp/ but your cron entry is http://gettenitin.trysumethingnew.site//wp-cron.php so it is missing the ‘wp’ sub-directory and won’t work. 2. Just send a PM for email support.

Love the plugin, works like a charm, but have you ever thought about adding an option to have certain YouTube channels/queries checked only once a week? Once a lot of content feeds have been added, one runs into API issues quickly, but like 50% of the channels added provide content only once or twice a week. It would thus be great to have these excluded somehow from the general scheduler settings, by setting exact query values (e.g. only on Mondays etc.).
Yes, but for now you can just set a low # of videos to query on those channels. Should be okay.
Does it really make a big difference if I go for 1 instead of -1 when pulling only videos from “1 day ago”? Would this allow for 50+ channels to be checked?
Importing 1 video would grab the 1st result of the query, where -1 would grab them all. It would make a difference if the query target (channel/user/playlist/etc) published lots of videos in a single day. As for the 2nd part of your question, it does not correlate to how many videos are requested.

Hi, I like your plugin, It works as explained. I wonder if it is possible to duplicate content feeds. I mean I want to change only video ID, and want other settings stay same. When I add multiple videos about 20-30, it takes long time to edit all settings from zero. Best regards
Yes, at the bottom of each content feed is a button ‘Copy Content Feed’.

One more question, I use Youtube Embed, I could embed 100’s of videos without going above the YT Quota for data, but once I finally got settled and just wanted to upload new videos from every channel I started hitting quota’s a lot faster. I have about 40 channels, with the search filters only looking for videos uploaded a day ago, which it doesnt even find many. But somehow I keep going over the quota after about half a day, anything you recommend I can do to stop this? I preferably would like it let it run every hour, but right now it’s set at every 3 hours and im still hitting problems.
You can ask YouTube to increase your quota and/or increase time between requests to lower quota usage.
Just wondering if there is a way to update the views/likes of a embedded youtube video? Is the only way to delete the video and re-upload it?
No you can select [Process the Results] =-> [If content previously imported?] -> Update. That will re-import and update stats and comments.
