toggle for mobile. any way to get that to work without hacking your js file? toggle reverts to hover on mobile. thanks!
You can change menu parameters as written in help file.
Hi I recently bought your smartmenu and am impressed. I gives me exactly what I was looking for. That was until I tried to let it work on a Materialize framework, the project I purchased it for.. It is no longer responsive, and the ‘open by click’ does not function properly. Both important to the project.
Is there an easy way to get it to work?

Sorry! I didn’t use “Materialize” framework. But, if you write a demo url, I can tell you where the issue is. Or, you can open “Developer Tools” of your browser to see errors.
Is there any way to use php variables within the menu. I’m trying to pass a SESSION variable to personalize the menu with the user’s name in it, but it looks like the session array is blank even with a session_start() at the top.
You should write your own PHP codes. You can find source codes in sources folder.
You can copy them to deploy folder and write some PHP variables.
Thanks. I think I may have got it working – but there is no sources folder. There is a source folder, but it only has the .js, .css and a folder of color schemes. No index or .php files.
There’s no PHP or index files. Because, it’s a JS menu as you can read the category and its name.

Hello, just bought SmartMenu, it’s awesome how it’s flexible and simple.
I’m gonna integrate it into AdminLTE, I wanna replace original horizontal menu with SmartMenu, and use AdminLTE vertical menu too.
Have you ever done this integration?

I did it, it was very easy to integrate and they fit nicely.
I also made a small tweak to use plain text on menu itens. I had to use anchor element without href and change cursor attribute.

May I suggest to add changelog section? It simplify to all your customers to find out whad changes have been made and nobody will ask questions about changes in comments section. If you change only help file than I would like to know that I don’t have to plan any update. Best Regards
I guess what meant escolta13 who is complaining about your menu in rewiev section. It would be nice to switch automatically from “hover” to “click” mode on mobile devices. Expanding menu with “hover” mode works perfect on large screens, but on cellphone “click” or “touch” menu item is better. I would like “roll up” menu item when I touch it again. Right now I have to touch somewhere outside the area with menu.
Click & hover effects behaves same on mobile.

first hover on home, flyout, megamenu upto contact then come back in reverse order the menu wont display

You should enter a Google Maps API Key or remove that section from the menu.

I fixed it. You should copy deploy/smartmenu/jquery.smartmenu.js to your site.

Did updated the zip file still the same issue http://www.weblogic.asia/demo/smartmenus/ just check hover on all the menu headings from left to right and again from right to left the sub menus wont open on hover
You should the browser cache and CDN if capable. I checked & fixed the issue.
You can set the effect speed zero to disable the mouseleave effect.

Menu doesn’t work… you click on a menu item at very top and it stays highlighted and you can’t click it again. Can you tell me how to fix? Seen everyone else on the envato comments say the same thing.

Hello, there is some bug in chrome and edge – try on here published demo or elsewhere: if you hover top menu items for a second and then move cursor on anothert item it will stay green and dos not work further

Getting the following error within “jquery.smartmenu.js” on line 446: “Uncaught ReferenceError jQuery is not defined”; furthermore, within my “index.html” getting the following error “Uncaught TypeError: $(...).smartMenu is not a function”; any guidance would be appreciated, thanks!
You need to add jquery.js to your site. If added already, please write a test url.

Hello AthenaStudio — I purchased your “SmartMenu – Responsive jQuery Mega Menu” item on CodeCanyon. Does this item natively support the following behavior:
Instead of showing content on hover — I would like content shown on click. Furthermore, I would like the content to remain until another navigation link is clicked or the end user clicks the same navigation link again (which would behave as a “close” action).
If this behavior is not natively supported, I am willing to pay additional monies for customization of the product. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my inquiry! Enjoy your weekend!
There’s “CLICK” option as you can see in demo. Click on “Show On” selectbox to see it in action.
You can read how to add that feature via plugin options in hep file.

can you change a setting so when you click outside it resets the last menu clicked ? it remains open?
I could not understand your question. Do you want to remove code to close menu when click outside of the menu?
I set it to click (toggle) but now if you select a sub menu, it opens , if i click a another menu item that opens too .. you have to click the other open to close .. i know that what toggle is .. but is there a way to close if you click another menu so that the other closes automatically . Click outside also closes the menu but if i open the same menu the sub menu that previously open is still open

I recently bought this menu , i trying to remove the close the menu on mouse move , I am using click and need the menu to stay open till it is clicked again.. now it opens ok on click but if i move off it , it closes . Great menu by the way Thanks Andy

Sorry , i set the menu to click , click the menu , but when you move the mouse off the menu (that is open) , or click outside it it closes .. I need to stay open , till it is clicked again

But still closes need the drop down to stay open till its clicked again
if you move the mouse off the clicked item ..it closes .. need to leave it open. you have to stay within the clicked open area to stay open.// it like a hover effect .. so move off it closes , does that make more sense
