Hi , can you remove the close menu once the mouse moves off the menu , so that you have to click to close ?
several times tried to install “codecanyon-19501519-smartmenu-responsive-jquery-mega-menu.zip” – but impossible, it is WP 5.2, theme “the7”, result always: Es wurden keine funktionsfähigen Plugins gefunden (not a valid plugin). What to do?
It is a jQuery plugin as you can see! You can’t install it to WP.
Hey, Im trying to determine if this plugin will give me the mega menu features im after, Im trying to essentially mimic the “Product” menu layout on www.sanmar.com the thing I need that I dont see on your demo is the left tabs that change the content and sub menus on the right. Is this possible with your plugin? or would it require a significant level of customization to implement?
Its position can be set to “left” like that menu.

I downloaded the menu and tried to install it on the page on which I use Wordpress, but I get an error about “The package could not be installed. No properly prepared plugins found. ” Please help me.
It is a JS library as you can read in the item info. There is no a description tells that can be installed as a WP plugin.
Hi, Just implementing the smartmenu and works great so far. One issue I have is with hover mode the previously hovered item stays active to long and cause a odd effect. Basically you can move the mouse over all the menu items and they will all show hovered at the same time. Is there any way to change this?

You can remove hover effect delay time by using the menu like that:

I am new and bought SamrtMenu Responsive Jquery Mega Menu today. Do you have any ducuments to customize the AmartMenu. I want to make 2menus in a website, one for link in the same web site and the other is link to outer site about 10 URL’s. And I want to place the right side of the main area for PC/Tablet for outer link and the other link is to place the upper side like your sample. 2 buttons for the link for SmartPhone.(This was solved.)
You can read the help file included in main zip file. Also, there’s deploy folder which includes sample menu setup.
Is there any way to set a callback function on menu close?
My issue is that in order to be Adsense compliant, this menu has to push down the body content when it opens. (It’s against TOS to have dropdown menus above ads).
So far so good.
I’ve got a simple onclick in the menu option which also triggers a script that expands the menu div and forces the body content down.
But I need a callback that fires when the dropdown menu vanishes.
Is there any way to do this? So far I’ve got a listener which fires on class changes.. but this is a pretty weird way to do it. ‘Hoping you’ve got a built in API of some kind, or a setting option that lets me assign a callback on close. Does anything like this exist?
You can add your own codes into the source code which is in source/smartmenu/jquery.smartmenu.js. Go to line 270 and copy your code there which includes menu closing animation code.
Copy the source JS into deploy/smartmenu folder before editing.
What are the requirements (version of Jquery, Bootstrap, etc..)
You can use the latest version of them.

I used jQuery 1.12.4. There’s no Bootstrap. But, you can use.

You can put smartmenu folder in deploy folder in a separate place. It’s written in help file how to add HTML codes into your site.

I have uploaded the menu to my website but when I visit on a mobile, (using Google Chrome) upon touching one of the menu sections for example upon touching “menu”, the menu it will open but if I touch again it will not close. I think its expected that if I touch upon the “gallery” section for example it will open and if I touch again It will close.
I even uploaded your whole deploy folder to my website which you can visit on https://alyax.mx/deploy and even visited your live demo on: http://www.athenadesignstudio.com/plugins/smartmenu/ The result was the same. The menu is not working on mobile with chrome.
By the way, im not testing using and old mobile Im using google chrome 63.0.3239.111 on my samsung galaxy S7 (using android 7.0.0, nougat I think its called).

The menu closes when you click outside of the menu on the screen.
Click on an empty space outside the menu.
This is so un-expected. Im sorry but that makes it un-usable for me. And for many others as well. As a UX designer with many years of experience i understand which functionalities people normally expect on a mobile menu. And one of them a very basic one is to open / close menu sections and subsections upon touching them. But thanks anyway.
You can change its layout to another one. They are written in help file.

Hi, I just purchased and i’m wondering if you have any documentation that can support my use case. I’m trying to use a full width menu, where the logo is aligned to the left (as if there was a sm-left-item class), the core menu is aligned in the center and sm-right-item is supported for right aligning any divs. I’m trying to place a logo on the left, menu in the middle and an logout/profile icon to the right. I’d like the mega menu to be full width.
Any ideas?

Yes. I use the latest jQuery version. 1.4 is too old.
Sir, there is no information on your help file for some things I need to do :
1) How do I tell Smartmenu to appear ON TOP of every other element in my webpage? When I scroll down my pages, the mega-menu appears BEHIND adsense ads and a few other elements.
2) How do I tell the menu to show all Titles in white? For some reason, title links only appear white when I have visited a page, if not they appear blue.
3) How do I tell the menu to be exactly 1000 pixels wide when it first appears?

You can make the menu full width which is set via JS params, too.
Hello, z-index appears three times on your CSS. The first two it have a value of 1, and the last one has a value of 2. I already tried changing their values to 10000 and 20000 respectively, but the menu bar is still shown BEHIND things like Adsense ads, AddThis buttons, native ads, etc… Please tell me how to make it appear on top of such things.
This of course only happens while the menu is docked to the top of the page.

Thanks a lot, that solved the problem with the menu being shown behind other elements on the page. I am now running into another problem:
When the menu starts rendering, it doesn’t occupy the whole 1000 pixels wide that I want it to use. A few seconds later, it stretches to 1000 pixels wide. BUT, as soon as it stretches to 1000 pixels, the dropdown ceases to work.
You can check it on the following link, please put your mouse pointer over any of the dropdown elements in the menu as soon as the menu appears, you will see they expand, but as soon as the menu adjusts to 1000 pixels the dropdowns don’t work anymore:

It’s your issue. It covers all the width after the site fully loaded.
The question was: THE DROPDOWNS STOP WORKING after the menu covers all the width. Why?

Hi, I just quickly want to know how to center the menu on the page (before toggle). I can usually find that sort of thing easily but I am having trouble with this one. It is floating left (which of course it has to) but the menu is picking up the max-width and therefore not centering. I am using green_bar_dark if that is any help. I notice in Inspector that the js is inserting sm-fullwidth; not sure if this is the problem. Thanks.
