Hey, Sure. There should be a “Compatibility” tab in page builder element settings (in the window, where you adjust all the colors, speeds, etc.).

The VC Plugin doesn’t work with Salient theme. It shows a static image only of the particles. The theme uses a modified version of the WPBakery Page Builder.

For some reason it was not working correctly. It had a static image of the particles. But after creating a new page and trying it again it actually worked. Thanks.

Hi there, I have a question regarding the VC particles plug-in. It is easy to implement, thanks for that! But I have a performance issue when putting it in on the website I am building for a customer right now. If I activate the plug-in, even with a low number of particles (25!), the CPU usage of the browser jumps up to about 80-95% – with each of the two browsers I use (Chrome / Safari). As soon as I delete the plug-in again, the CPU usage on the same website at the same spot with all the other parameters staying equal, jumps immediately back down to a value of about 10-20%. So its definitely an issue with the VC particles plug-in. Problem is that the fan is starting to work loudly and the machine is on its limit – and that happens rarely with my Mac. I assume problems for other users, too, on their computers. How can I configure the plug-in that it does not require some much render power? Thanks for a reply! Best regards, webbimaster.
Hello, Thanks for contacting us. This plugin is CPU-heavy but shouldn’t use 80% power of any modern cpu.

Dear David Boom Apps Team, thanks for the quick answer! I have checked the demo pages and yes, they do have the same effect, with the Vincent Garreau demo a bit more than with the other website demo. It takes a while for the machine to react to the high CPU usage, but the mac activity monitor shows the same high values. I guess then that’s the way it is. I am using a 2015 macbook pro with an intel i5 dual core processor. Maybe you find a way to decrease the power need for the computer for future releases, I would certainly appreciate this. And the newer CPUs might get better along with it, too. But thanks for pointing me to the demo pages. Best, webbimaster!
Hey, 2015 i5 Mac shouldn’t be that slow. I’m not very familiar with Macs, but maybe there is something wrong with yours? We’ve introduced this plugin in 2015 and we’ve tested it on multiple devices and there were no performance problems.
I’ve just tested it on old i5-3320M Windows laptop and our demo site (with 5 background in one page) uses ~20% of CPU power.

Hello, This plugin is for WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer) that was previously named just “WPBakery Visual Composer).
It will not function with “new” WPBakery Visual Composer.
