4. Download button is available, but not with a picture added to it.

This plugin extracts data from APKMirror.com – it cannot import content directly from PlayStore.
However, it is able to get all information of apps, just as if it would crawl PlayStore directly.

These are caused by the source website blocking access to some apk files. I haven”t found a solution to this yet, but i think on how to solve this.

Regarding the %%item_package%% shortcode, it does not work for all apks, because not all have a package assigned to them. For apks that do not have a package, it will return an empty string.
Only apks that have a package (have multiple active versions), will return a value for this.

Yes, on your server, this should work properly. If it does not, please let me know and I will help (there are some server requirements for this to work – allow_url_fopen must be set to true in server config). So, you should check with your hosting provider about this, prior to purchasing the plugin.

This is because on my test server I limited the amount of storage available to the plugin, and it cannot download full apks, which are too large for this.
Also, to see the download URL for the apk, you must use the %%item_download_link%% shortcode, in the ‘Generated Post Content’, in importing rule settings.
To display a link from it, you can use it like this:
<a href="%%item_download_link%%" target="_blank">Download now</a>

From the demo website I played with, it doesn’t import direct apk download links just links to google playstore.
And how can I make the featured image as well as other images to be stored in my server instead of linking out to apkmirror

To enable direct apk importing, please check the ‘Copy APKs Locally to Server’ checkbox from plugin rule settings.
Featured image is already copied to the local server, for each post. Regarding images from posts, the plugin does not have the possibility yet to copy them locally. However, this might be added as a future update for the plugin.

You can import only content listed on apkmirror.com – so categories are limited to their categories. I checked, but I don’t seem to find ‘games’ category on their site, so I don’t think that game category importing is possible.

Great work. I like the plugin because it’s for WordPress. I will love to get feedback on these question:
1. Can this plugin grab content from Play store only?
2. What if apkmirror goes offline? which alternate source is available?
3. Also for the URL shortener, goo.gl will soon be discontinued. Can you add other URL shorteners as an option? I will recommend you add URL shortener service like adfly, and other shorteners individuals can use to make money from shortening URLs.

2. If apkmirror goes offline, i have to rethink the plugin to import from other sources.

I updated the plugin to v1.6.0. I added a new checkbox in rule settings -> ‘Copy APKs Locally to Server’.
If you check this, apks will be copied locally to your server. Please not that this will considerably increase storage space needed on your server. Also, it requires allow_url_fopen to be enabled by your hosting provider for your website.

I can assure you that the plugin does not include CPC ads in the imported content.
Because this is a crawler plugin (that imports content from another website), your issue might be caused by an importing issue – I think that the plugin might have imported also some of the ads found on the apkmirror website.
