for some reason I can’t access the demo with my wordpress login. Any other way to see it and make sure it is what I need! I just need to allow my clients to uploads from 1 to 15 pictures before checkout and access these pictures easily! Your plugin seems to be doing that, no? Thanks for your reply. Nathalie

I mean, just use the demo site to recreate the scenario you need (for example by creating an upload field to be visible in just the checkout page or the pages you wish), perform some uploads and see if all works as you expect!

Sorry but I have been playing a bit with the demo! Is it possible to have file upload only on checkout page and NOT on product page. I haven’t found an option to desactivate file upload from product page. Thanks again

unfortuantely the plugin is not designed for that. However, the page cout is perfomed in the WCUF_File.php file located in the classes\com folder.
The could is performed at line 470 (the $curr_quantity variable holds the value).
You can eventually trigger there the action, for example:
do_action('wcuf_page_count, $curr_quantity);
and catch it in the script you need!

Hello, when a customer buys my product, he may upload 3 photos. That works well. But if he increases the amount of the product in the shopping cart – i.e. orders 2x the same product, he can still only upload 3 photos. But he should be allowed to upload 6 photos. Is that possible?

For this scenario, I suggest enabling the Products addable multiple times to caart for those products you wish the user to upload more photos.
So if the user wanted for the product different quantity of the same photos, he can just adjust the cart quantity.
If he wants the same product but with different photos, he has just to re-add to the cart uploading different files.
Does this plugin upload files directly to dropbox or does it also upload them on our server as well?
For security reasons, DropBox doesn’t allow users to upload files via the browser directly on the admin DropBox account.
Files are temporarily stored in the server and then copied into the site admin DropBox account.

Yes, once transfered they are deleted.
No, there are no limits to the file size you can upload. Note however, that in case of big files, transfers from your server to the dropservice could take some time. So make sure that your PHP settings are not killing the process before it ends!

Make sure that the php script excution time is set to a value that fits your needs (it depends from many factors like, server transfer time, file size, etc.). I suggest to try setting 240 seconds. In case, adjust it according your needs.
Hello we have used your plugin on two websites and on one website before that is not launched yet we have decided to change the name so we migrated the website to the new name but it says that the plugin can be used in only two domains and they cannot be unregistered.
Can you please activate this for our second website, it wouldnt be fair to buy again since we will only be using it on two domains.

if the license has been activated, it cannot be migrated. Envato usage license, allows you to use the product in just one domain. The plugin, however, allows you to activate it in two domains. For each domain, you can activate unlimited subdomains and subfolders. If you consume all those options, you need to purchase a new one.
For any further info about usage license, you should, however, contact the Envato staff.
I think it is unfair to pay again. It is clear that if you check the two domains we have used it, one of them is a subdomain which is clear that is was never used publicly. Please release the subdomain.
You can reactivate unlimited times in that subdomain or other subdomains of the same domain. The fact that it is not public doesn’t affect the reactivation.

Hi I have just purchased your upload plug in which seems to work for 95% of what I want, however I am having trouble trying to configure one feature: Having separate uploads for products with Multiple Variations.
I am using the plug in on a printing products website (business cards, leaflets, stationery etc). A lot of the products are avialble with different variations i.e. you may buy some business cards in different quantity, size, colour etc.
A customer may want to order a product multiple times using different configurations. i.e 150 off one versions, 250 off another version.
The problem I am having is that if a client does this then in the cart section they only have one option to upload files which then apply to all the variations they have ordered. It is likely that the client would want different artwork for each part of the order.
I have discovered that if I add alternative (simple) products (with no variations) then each of these is treated as a separate item and a separate file upload for each is initiated. I need this feature to apply to products which have variations. Is this possible, or am I looking at this in completely the wrong way Thank you in advance

actually by default the plugin already associate an upload field for each variation.
please make sure that you have enabled the following options: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a5kqpijk39mj17k/wcuf_variation_visibility.jpg?dl=0
and this option: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pagsilzzj9o78of/wcuf_multiple_times.png?dl=0 that allows to add the same product and variation multiple times to cart (so if the users could by the same variation but associate different files to print).

For now we are deactivating the plugin when we need to update a template, but is there a more reliable solution?

It may be that a 3rd party is blocking the ajax requests performed by the plugin in the background to retrieve categories and products list.
Could you please try disabling the other 3rd party plugins and see if you still get the issue?

Am I correct in saying that this plugin does not show a thumbnail and/or preview for ALL file types including AI, EPS, PDF, JPG, GIF, PNG?
And is this preview show in the orders details page? or only available pre-checkout?

I’m sorry, I haven’t any solution for that.
You can give a look to the checkout_cart_product_page_template.php template that you find in the template folder. The field are rendered on line 338 to 389 (in case of field not bounded to product) and from 651 to 701 (in case it is bounded to products).
You can use the php variable ”$upload_has_been_performed” to test if at least one upload has been performed.

Thank you for this excellent plugin. It seems to work well with my website. When using the file upload on thank you page, it seems to not be the most elegant or easiest thing for the customer, as it would be on the product page, but technically it’s working.
I’m a bit worried about my customers privacy when they upload documents or photos on my online store. The path of the file is by default /wp-content/uploads/wcuf/237/94-0/file.pdf and I think it’s open for everybody to read. Is there a way to improve the security?

yes, it has been designed in this way so the admin can eventually share the link to 3rd parties (like printing service) in order to retrieve the files without the need of logging using the user login data.
Note that if that link is not intentionally shared by the admin or the user, there is no way to know the path of the file.

in case of variable product, this is the normal behaviour. The plugin associate one upload field for each variation. So you have to select a variation before its upload area is loaded. Once done, you can upload a different file for each variation.
