With YouTubeR you can display videos from channel/playlist of single video from YouTube. But there is no sorting/ordering available. So only the default ordering is available. How the videos are ordered in the channel/playlist – the same ordering will be on the website.

As for the background – you can customize it with your own styles added to the website theme CSS:.mxYouTubeR_channel{background:none;box-shadow:none;}
I’ve just purchased the YouTubeR player. I’m wanting to embed a YouTube playlist that is set to unlisted and embeddable. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong. I have it all installed and it seems to be setup properly with API code and Google OAuth client ID. When I’m on edit page and click the button above the text box next to “add media” a window just pop ups and says authorize youtube account but I can’t find where I’m suppse to do that. I then tried to use the shortcode to embed the playlist and even went and set all my videos and the playlist to public and embeddable I still get an error on frontend of page that says the following…

Have tested – this shortcode works fine. Maybe your visual editor is changing the quotes. Please switch to the mode “Edit as HTML” and replace all quotes with standard double quotes.
So I should change from “visual editor” to “text” so I can write html code but then not use the [ and ] around the shortcode?

I thought that YouTubeR button in editor could be used to generate shortcodes… Are you going to add one so we can save time in manual adding codes and specially it’s variables?

We haven’t planed to do it. YouTubeR is planed to work only with shortcodes. Editor button and the popup is planed to upload videos to YouTube.
OK, but since i need different variables almost every time to display playlist or others, each time i have to go and read documentation for variables… At list you could make some shortcuts in plugin settings page or something like that
Yes, you are right that it would be much easier to work with shortcodes through the popup interface. I will think what i can do.

Hello, I;ve just purchased the plugin and have set it up on my site according to the instructions, created the necessary google keys and configured the plugin settings. However when I try to add a video to the site to upload to youtube, I follow your instructions by creating a post and pressing the YouTube R button, but I only get a ghosted out Authorize YouTube pop up and so I can’t proceed. Do you know why this can be? I do have screengrabs of all my settings if that helps

Seems like you have a problem with OAuth client ID.
More common issue is that you haven’t added your website URL to the “Authorised JavaScript origins” in the OAuth client ID settings.

Found it – but I have been looking at a dialogue box that says “Authorize YouTube Account” with a progress bar about half way across for the last hour – how long does this authorization process typically take?
This progress bar indicates the loading process of authorization YouTube scripts. So it must be loaded in about 1 second. If it stuck then there must be an error which can be seen in the browser’s console. Most common issue is when you have not added your website URL to the “Authorised JavaScript origins” in the OAuth client ID settings.

Hello. With this plugin you can display YouTube channels, playlists, videos on your website. Also you can upload videos to YouTube from your website admin panel. But you can’t download videos from YouTube.

Hi I Just bought and installed the plugin. But when i Go to the extension section of wordpress there is non “settings” button under the plugin. There is only the Delete button. Also when I click on the YoutubeR button on the New Post editor, no windows show up. My wordpress version is WordPress 5.2.4. Could you please help?

Dear developer. Can you help me with this please. When I update a playlist in youtube by adding a video its not updating on my site in the playlist widget. I re-jog it by adding another widget but nothing happens. I try and clear the cache in my browser but to no avail. Should I clear the cache in wordpress as to why this is not updating and how would I do that? Thank you Simon
Hello. Yes, you need to clear Wordpress cache to update the widget manually. But the widget updates automatically. There is an option in the Settings -> YouTubeR, called “Cache lifetime”. This is the amount of time in seconds in which the widget’ cache is refreshed.
