Yes, it seems that the API the plugin was using is discontinued now. I will work on making an update for it, to migrate it to this other similar API I found: https://rapidapi.com/contextualwebsearch/api/custom-search
However, after initial testing, neither the above API is returning any result, so more testing might be needed on this.
If you know any similar API which can be used to replace the old API, let me know.

Hello, a few questions before buying:
Are you still working on this plugin? Do you plan to add the bing key? Does it work fine with the free ContextualWebSearch api or is the free service very limited and slow? Can it be translated so that it is only in Spanish, including searches?

Yes, the plugin is actively supported and developed, i have an ideas list for it.
Bing is also on the ideas list of the plugin.
The free api is not slow, but will be limited by the api call count restriction.
Translation is not yet possible, but i noted this idea, will check on it.

Currently the plugin can show only results from around the web (with your site results included, if it is indexed). I noted your suggestion and will think on a way to update the plugin in the future to allow it to display results only from your own site, however, currently this is not available.

1. The plugin is not indexing pages, but instead, the service it is using to get results is doing the indexing job: ContextualWebSearch. It’s looking better, thank you for fixing the conflicting theme, but it’s not all working yet. It appears to be flowing nicely, but now returns “no result” upon searching. I’ve entered the API key, but am not sure what to do now as it’s still not working. Thank you so much for helping me Szabi! I’m really looking forward to getting this working and enjoying your plugin!

It says I’m subscribed to the basic plan, and it’s given me an API key, although it is different from the website in the tutorial I think. I used the link from the API key settings in the plugin. Is it possible I’m in the wrong place?
I’ve used the X-RapidAPI-Key which is a very long string of letters and numbers. I copied it from the code on the right of the page of the end points to avoid making a typo
Also, in the analytics of the contextualwebsearch API, it has recognized multiple searches from when I’ve attempted to test it
But, it’s confusing because under the dashboard it says “You haven’t subscribed to any paid/freemium plans yet”

Yes, this is possible, you can add AdSense ads in the search results shown by this plugin.
For this, you can use the plugin’s ‘Ad Manager’ feature and add the AdSense code in there.

You have a checkbox in the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Show Only Ads That Matched Searched Keywords’ -> if you uncheck it, random ads will appear if the keywords do not match. If you check it, no ads will appear in case keywords do not match.

The plugin can filter results based on a set of required domains you set in plugin settings, however, this will not restrict results just to the domains you list, but will only filter results by them.
So, if in the returned results the domains you are restricting content to are not found, then no results will be shown by the search in the plugin. So, unfortunately, this feature is not exactly what you were looking for.

I got the demo working. But how do I display the URL with the full search string (something like: www.mysite.com?search_results=fast+cars). Your short code does not provide this option. Is it possible to access the url string?

i purchased this plugin and it’s working almost fine, few bugs are there, whenever i post an ad in the ad manager and assign a keyword, it works fine but i don’t understand why my ad displays on the keywords i have added in the description. Ad also shows on if someone search for other keywords.

To index your site by them, you have to contact them at support@contextualwebsearch.com and ask them to add your site to their indexed sites list.

Yes, you can add the shortcode that generates the form for the plugin into a ‘Content Hider’ plugin, and set it to show the form only for users that are signed in to your blog.

a. Yes, the plugin will work together with WooCommerce, however, it will search for results only from the database from ContextualWebSearch. Will show results only from pages that they crawled.
b. The plugin works in multisite, but the same as the answer from a. – it will get results only from their database.
c. and d. the plugin imports results from the web, not from your site.
