I purchased the Zapp Proxy Server Plugin but the website I want to use it for has javascript code which does not execute when using the proxy server so important functions on the site cannot be used. My target URL is a change.org petition. It appears that because the javascript does not work, the ‘Sign this petition’ button does not work when the site is viewed on a mobile phone through the proxy, plus the signed petition numbers are not being displayed (it always shows 0). Pease advise.

No, unfortunately, the plugin does not provide the functionality you are looking for. It will not transform your server into a proxy real server, but into a pseudo proxy, allowing you to display urls that are passed in URL parameters, passed to the plugin. It will not work with the tool you wish to use it, sorry.

I found this plugin is awesome & i would like to buy more licenses for my other sites. But I have a feature request. * * * The plugin supports only 1 User agent. Is that possible to add multiple user agents? And it should use 1 user agent Per navigation.

I am having an IP issue with the zapp proxy plugin, it show 2 ip, the client IP and the server IP and when i activate Show Client IP Address to Proxied Sites it is only the client IP that is showing. How can i show only the proxy server IP ?

First of all, thank you for your purchase.
I checked and it seems that the website you are trying to access using the plugin is protected by CloudFlare, and because of this, it is denying access to it, if a proxy is used in the connection.
I will try more, but so far, I don’t think that proxying of this specific URL is possible.

Basically, it will allow site visitors to use your website as a remote proxy.

If i understand your suggestion correctly, you ask if this plugin can be used together with all the other plugins to they all use proxies.
This might be possible to implement, but even after implementing this, still your server will handle all the requests, the proxy will get the info only after the server processed the requests, and it will serve the data to clients.
So, i am not sure if what you ask is possible.

Hi, you are welcome Uhm, not exactly. Apache / nginx process the answer to clients and wordpress generate a partially static HTML page that is cached locally to reduce the load on the server. A reverse proxy puts itself in the middle between the main server and the client (in my mind using a geo-dns service), and it acts like a CDN caching contents locally (such as images and so on) and dramatically reducing the TTFB and bandwidth usage. To setup a reverse proxy can be pretty complex so it would be extremely interesting to have a plugin that long story short, creates a master installation and satellite installations, where most of the setup is automated. The requests would be served from the reverse proxy first, then only part of the content would be actually processed by the main server. Even some database calls could be executed by the satellite, if it is able to configure the internal WP Database, replicating part of the data. Let’s say that in a basic version, HTML and contents caching would be enough. Hope I was able to explain the picture.

Hello, when I use the plugin with “Enable Only For Logged-In Users”, all my wordpress site (not only the proxy) reports this error (I’ve turned on the debug):

Please be sure you are using v1.0.2 of the plugin (please update it from CodeCanyon, if not). This issues should not appear in it.

In the initial release, the plugin did not support this, but I just updated it, and added this functionality to it.
You can find the new feature in ‘Main Settings’ -> ‘Enable Only For Logged-In Users’ checkbox.
