I Want to buy this theme before that I have a query, Can we use password protected pdf files and pass on password by piece of code ?
Hi.
First let me make it clear that Wowbook is not a “theme”, Wowbook is a jQuery plugin to display contents as a book on a website. I’m making this observation because every now and then someone buy this plugin by mistake thinking that this is a WP plugin.
Wowbook uses the library PDFjs, and the library states that has support for password protected pdf files. However, at the moment Wowbook does not provide a way to pass the password to PDFjs. It would be easy to implement such configuration option, so if you really want to use wowbook with password protected pdfs let me know.
But i need to warn you: the user accessing your webpage will be able to see the password, if they know how to do it. So i really would not trust this to effectively protect your pdf files.

Yes, the implementation of this configuration option will be quite simple since this only requires passing a parameter to the PDFjs library.

Hi! I’ve 2 problems… I’ve the plugin with a pdf, all works fine, but….: 1) When it’s zoomed, if I try to select text, it’s almost impossible because while I select it drags the page…. 2) There is a max page zoom… can I increment this?

The PDF search function work’s only on the pdf file loaded by Wowbook.
Maybe you could implement what you asked using the library PDFjs(which is used by Wowbook) and Node on the server, but this feature you described is outside the scope of Wowbook.

I just purchased your wowbook jquery plugin and I must say it looks really amazing. It would be nice though if you could add a responsive example as well in the example folder. Furthermore if you have time it would be awesome if you could add a bookshelf layout like found here (www.turnjs.com) which has a perfect book animation. I am sure this would also increase your plugin sales.

This kind of functionality is not in the scope of the plugin. To be honest i don’t even know how feasible/practical is to generate a pdf file in the browser. You probably need to implement this is the server(which, again, is not in the scope of the plugin).
My suggestion is for you to hire a web developer to implement this funcionality in your webpage for you.

The file you download from CodeCanyon is a zip file. Unzip the file and open the file “index.html” in the directory “documentation”.It will explain how to use the plugin and what else is inside the zip file(like the directory “examples”).

It seems that the error is unrelated with Wowbook because it says in the first line that is happening in the file “respond.js”, which is a library not used by (or shipped with) Wowbook. If you can remove this library and see if the error persists.
If you still have problems please send a send a message through the support tab giving more information about the problem.

Set the option “singlePage” to true. But please read the section about “single page mode” in the documentation to understand exactly how this option works and what you can expect from it.

thanks for the great plugin, it looks really good! i have a question/problem though. my customer already bought it (i can give you the details next week since today is saturday, i am not sure about the user name they used) but i am having trouble adding the shadows to the PDF flipbook. i used your pdf example, everything works fine, but the shadow and gradient when flipping a page are not showing:

UPDATE: after uplaoding with “binary” and changing all permissions to 777 everything works fine now

I’m sorry but i did not understand question. Can you give more details about what you need?
Also, if you are interested in use Wowbook with single page on mobile i advise to check the Wowbook live preview on your mobile before you buy, just to make sure that the plugin behaves the way you expect.
