Yes. Just select the number of comments to import in the Video Comments metabox and they will be imported as WordPress comments for the post.

So you want to import comments into the WordPress post content itself? Not standard but you could do it with some custom hook code. Please send me a PM and I’ll show you an example code snippet.

Could you be more specific? Send a PM with details. I’m guessing the Scheduler is Enabled but your cron is not configured or firing properly.
Very interested in your plugin. I have a new project for a video membership site and I am considering vimeo to store the videos. My site would be a membership pay site so the videos would need to be set to private in vimeo and brought in to my site (I’m guessing there is a permission option to allow my site to import or embed them). Can your plugin pull in the private videos I store on vimeo so we can charge customers to view them through our site?
Yes you can import them fine. How to view the embeds will be up to your Vimeo video privacy settings.

No oAuth. It uses an API key for public searches.
How does this plugin handle large number of imports without overloading the server? I have a large video library on YouTube (7000+ videos) and I would like to import them as posts, but I’m concerned trying to do this all at once would overload any server? Do you use Ajax or can you limit to importing X videos per minute/hour?
Also, is there a way to autocategorize videos? For example, if I import videos with tags A or B they will go into category C, or with tag X it will go into categories Y and Z? I would like to import the tags as well if that’s possible?

Imports happen sequentially so the load isn’t much at any one time, but you can use the Scheduler to limit requests to X videos every Y minutes/hours in the background.
You can import tags/categories from YouTube and/or assign existing WordPress tags/categories to imported videos. To map from YouTube tag X to existing WordPress tag Y would require a code snippet telling VBP what to do. Example in docs.
hello, I started out using your plugin with truemag since it has out of the box support. However truemag is very slow and therefore I would like to create my own theme using Elementor. I know a little about custom post types, and adding custom fields, but I dont know how to map data from the plugin? So basically Im starting from scratch and would like to show all the data from VBP?

You can use the custom meta fields created by Video Blogster (see any existing post) or create your own custom meta field. See the section Post Template -> Post Custom Meta Fields
yes i did this, I created a custon type, added all the meta fields that you have in VBP, however the custom fields are not being populated… do you have any documentation on how to implement VBP, with a now how to so all the data the the plugin retrieves? I really need help on integrating you plugin into this new theme i created, truemag and some of the other themes that have out-of-the-box support are very slow…

Hello. Sorry if this has been asked already over the years… Can I import youtube videos into my site and select which category those videos should belong to via the admin backend? For example. I have one category which is called “A”, another called “B”.. and another called “C”.. I simply want to select various niche topics on youtube; and map them to the correct categories on my site, simply by selecting the the appropriate category from say.. a drop down within your plugin, so rather than creating a post type, I’m assuming there would be a category drop down for where i could then select my categories within the site? Yes, you can import taxonomies from the video and/or assign them to taxonomies already on your site. No problem.
Unfortunately there is a problem with Spotify. The songs are read in without any problems. There are also errors and all entries that are loaded in the recycle bin. Every day anew.

Hello, that means your server timed out without connecting to the spotify API. If it keeps happening, check your connection to the domain name servers.
It is a dedicated server. According to my app, this had no failure, was always available.
It doesn’t have to be your server. It is the connection between your server and spotify.
Hello! Earlier, I used other plugins to download Soundcloud, and all past options stopped working for reasons that are not yet clear. Tell me, will you have as a result of similar problems with soundcloud api? Also, you need to take into account the fact that new SC keys are not issued to anyone.
SoundCloud is currently not giving out any new app keys. You can use the default key that comes with VBP.

Yes just set the Type of Request to ‘video id’ and enter the comma separated IDs

fyi, you can only import about 21 video IDs that way because the “Video ID” field can only allow a certain amount of characters.
Well that’s true. There has to be a limit and most import by search/channel/playlist. If you have a huge list send me a PM and I’ll see if there’s a way to make it easier.

Also when running a campaign it times out. Our server is nginx and apache 2 hybrid and I edited the max_execution_time in the php ini file but its still timing out.
You can change the player parameters. Please read the docs, FAQ #7, “How do I get videos to autoplay? autohide? not showinfo? not show control bar? etc.”
For timeouts, please read docs, FAQ #16, “Why is the script timing out? I’m seeing a blank page, 404 error or 500 error.” PM me with any specifics.
For autoplay and hide the info we replace:
VideoEmbed with

Looks right but I don’t know your theme or its custom meta field. Hopefully your theme’s custom code will handle the iframe just fine. Test it out on importing a video and PM me details if it doesn’t work.

Hi! Can this be set up as where it will be posted to where the featured image is Instead of an embed in the content in the post page? So if a user clicks on a video post once they get to that page they will see the video above the content (normally where the featured image is usually placed).and does it give us the option to have the video played automatically?

Videos are imported as standard WordPress content so your theme handles the display, however you want.

I’m trying to make this accessible to my editor - which means he has an editor (user) account on my WordPress site - he would use the program more than me (as an adminstrator), but don’t see it available. I see another plugin I have similar to yours available in his account, but no Video Blogster.
Is there a way to make this accessible to an editor user account? I was shocked not to see it in there since this is a content-oriented plugin. Please advise. Thank you in advance.
