I have one question. I bought this plugin because in some responses you said that is possible that an UNREGISTERED USER can chat with an author (ex. visitor – provider) in multi-vendor themes. But now, in other comments you answered that this is not possible. So, what is the real answer here? and if it is possible, how can I achieve that?

For chatting one must have to register to your site.

Yes you can use chat without attachments feature.

Sorry, Email notification is not implemented by default but we have provided enough hooks so you can implement it on yourself.

Hello, Yes if you put the [yobro_chatbox] shortcode in any page then it would be the inbox page.

Also, I’ve read in these comments that you can use hooks to trigger an email notification to say you have a message.

Would there be a way to reply via email to that message and it update in the website chat? Or would our visitors need to be redirected back to the webpage to reply? Happy to get custom code developed for this, but just want to check it is possible. Thank you.

Hi, I’ve confirmed with you that I could use this for a marketplace website where a buyer can chat directly with a seller from their listing page.

I’m wondering how it would work if someone was selling more than one item?For example, the Seller has 2 listings for a kettle and a toaster. They send a message to the seller about the Kettle, but then they also contact the seller about the Toaster.

- Would the message be in the same thread?

- Could there be a way to indicate what item the buyer is contacting them about?

I’m worried that if someone just wrote “is this item free?” I wouldn’t know if they were enquiring about the Toaster or Kettle?

Customer have to manually mention the topic. There is no way to automatically let the customer know about the topic

Sorry, We didn’t provided that facility because it could overload your server. When user gets the permission to upload attachments in the server then server could get overloaded and slow.

Hi.. i’m setting up a multi listing service provider referral style website and need a messaging system that will work between the listing service provider and the client (visitor to site) so they can talk to each other prior to booking the service… and it must allow photo sharing as we are working with tattoo artists and the client must be able to show photo of tattoo they want to service provider.. i’m currently looking at listeo and service finder as my two options for listing theme.. would your messaging system work with either of these two / and so what i’m hoping it will do.

i just read where someone asked if the messaging can be between one user and one “author” or “provider” only.. and it said this option is not available. I’m confused. I have a multi vendor or multi service provider theme and i am hoping that it provides a button that says “talk to provider” for example and when clicked, the client can now talk to the provider whose profile they are currently showing in their window? If they go to another provider, then they can also chat with that service provider by clicking “chat with service provider” and now a new chat. Is this how it works? Is there any documentation we can view to see how this all sets up.

Yes, I have set it. But I see that the popup for yobro_chat_new_message shortcode doesn’t close when clicking on the Close icon.

That aside, anyway to call the chat notification icon shortcode ‘[yobro_chat_notification]’ via code instead? Would like to place it within my sites actual design.

You can use the shortcode by using do_shortcode(‘[yobro_chat_notification]’); within your php code.

echo do_shortcode(‘[yobro_chat_notification]’); and make sure the quote sign is right one. Copy pasting code could change the quote sign

Hi, we just wanted to try out the demo by logging in via the button in the “messager” tab. After clicking, i only got an error page. Don’t know if that is on purpose? :)

try logging from /wp-admin page with given credentials.

pre-sales question – is it possible to restrict the type of users that messages can be sent to. for example, i would like customers to only be able to submit to staff members but not to other customers
