I installed the plugin but unable to add any folder in the plugin.
If you need site’s admin details I can provide you. Please let me know how to provide that.
Please check and let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
You probably assigned a folder to yourself with read only access. You can go to the users page under the filemanager menu in the dashboard and assign a folder to your username with read/write access. Read/write access will let you add folders/files etc.
If you want me to do it, email me through my profile link here.
I just recently purchased this plugin. I cannot seem to upload any image files. Once i select the file and click upload, nothing happens. Also, where is the advanced image editor that was shown on the plugins main page? I don’t see options for it anywhere.
P.S. I also noticed there is no option to change the name of a created folder. This should have been a basic feature.
Hi
You need to change the folder access to read/write instead of read only when you assign yourself a folder in the dashboard.
Read only setting wont let you edit images or rename files/folders.
The setting is set to read/write. I can upload other file formats but images are not working.
That weird, can you email me the backend access, I’ll check it out.
Done.
Could a receive a refund for the plugin? No one has been able to fix the issue I am having which makes the plugin useless for me.
Hi,
You can request a refund for the plugin, I’ll approve it.
I need to add a watermark image in the PDF preview screen. Could you please let me know how can I achieve this? I have noticed that the watermark code is present in the code. Could you please let me know how can I use it?
Hi,
I replied to your email.
I just purchased and installed your plugin , installed all Addons too . main reason i bought your plugin was to be able to preview files ( .docx , pdf , tiff etc). but i cant seem to preview any file now. kindly assist
Hi,
You should be able to preview these files, can you email me the backend access to the site where I can see it.
I am now able to preview docx, pdf but Tiff remains a problem. i already have File Manager from Giribaz but its not previewing .tiff , bought yours this morning to find same issue with preview of tiff . kindly assist ,where do i send the backend login
As you can see only IE supports tiff among popular browsers.
OK. How do i set a shortcode to allow only administrators upload files while subscribers can only view and download?
[filemanager foldername="*"]to display these folders.
More details here:

Did you do anything ? i’m able to preview tiff now
I didnt do anything, you should be able to preview tiff if the browsers supports it, also if you have read/write access to that folder, you can right click > Image Editor to view and edit tiff files.
I’ll like the software white-labelled , wanna give clients impression it was custom built for them. The “about this software” section give too much info. is there anyway to white-label?
You can go to settings page of the filemanager and remove [“help”] line from the filemanager toolbar to get rid of the help button.
For labeling it as your own will need you to dig around the javascript and css files, it could be a little tricky.
worked like a charm/, great plugin. please why is there this error ” File Manager plugin is not active” just on top of the page at the back-end?
Email me the backend access, I’ll take a look.
Whats your email pls?
You can go to my profile link here and find the email section.
Hello, it´s not possible for me to see pdf´s and .doc or docx files, only images will be shown. How can I change this? Thanks!
Hi,
Can you show this to me on your site.
1. What will be added in the next update?
2. When are you going to update?
Hi,
It will be soon, there are some features I am working on like keeping a log of user file activities, may be trash folder addon and some other features.
Hey there -
I recently moved a site to a new server, and the file manager no longer appears to be loading on the front-end of the website. The file manager is still showing in the backend of the website (Under File Manager > File Manager), but on front end it’s just stopping rendering of the website.
I did upgrade to the latest File Manager server (7.5), and the issue is still happening.
Appreciate any and all assistance, Thanks! ~Zak
Hi,
If you move the complete site, the folder paths are changed, you can deactivate and activate the plugin again, then delete all the previous folders that you assigned and reassign them, filemanager is still looking for old folder paths.
The file-manager inside of the admin panel would work but the one on the front end of the site dropped into a page via shortcode wouldn’t in the scenario you’ve laid out?
Yes, the filemanager inside the admin is showing you the default folders, the shortcodes are generated from the folders assigned to the users or user groups. Those old folders are still saved in the database and the paths dont match.
You can email me the backend access if you want me to do it.
This issue was resolved, thanks for the speedy resolution!

Hi, is this plugin Accessible? For example can we use it from keyboard instead of using mouse? thanks cstibi
Hi,
Yes, you can use keyboard with it, it even supports popular keyboard shortcuts like copy/cut/paste/search/reload/delete/help etc.
Hi! I need a better file sharing plugin thant File away in Woffice intranet theme. Is it compatible with BuddyPress role manager? Only admins can upload files or create directories, and the other group users can read files.
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, you can assign folders to users or user groups (roles). If you choose to assign them read only access to folders, they will only be able to read files.
The same way you can assign read/write access to folders for admins so they can create/edit/delete/upload files and folders.
There is no upload button in the demo version.
Is it possible upload multiple images, multiple files or multiple videos from Mobile Phone?
Hi,
Yes you can upload mutliple images, videos, files from phones and from PCs.
Upload function is disabled in the demo.
Hello,
Do you have integration with Google Drive by any chance? I have purchased your plugin a month ago but now I am facing storage space issue on my Wordpress server.
I’d like to use Google Drive to store our documents but make it available through your front-end UI and user settings without having to download the files on our Wordpress server?
Thank you, Antoine
Hi,
I can integrate google drive in the filemanager. You can email me through my profile link here if you need custom work done.
If my customers use it, When I’m an wordpress administrator Can I limit the upload customers’s capacity per file?
You can limit the upload file size through htaccess
When I upload a file, Is there a capacity limit for one file? Google Drive, for example, is 10 gigabytes per file.
Hi,
There is no space limit in the filemanager, you can upload as much as you can as long as your server is not full.
Hello, when i try to open a pdf with the last version of the plugin i see this: https://ibb.co/gJVLtKk
Issue fixed, thanks

the only “issue” encountered now is the slowness in loading folders and files, but unfortunately i saw this right away
If you have too many subfolders and files, it can slow down a little.
Hi. I am trying to have a symbolic link appear in the File Manager, but it doesn’t seem to do so. The permissions and owner of the link is the same as visible files.
Hi,
Can you show this to me on your site.
No I mean, can I see this in the filemanager on your site.
That file is not present in the projects folder? You can email me the access from my profile link here.
Hi. Did you manage to have a look a this? TIA
Hi
I dont think I received any emails, can you email me from my profile here.
Hello, we are having problems with the new users that are created. These files do not appear in their folders, however with the previous 200 users work perfectly.
What can happen? Thank you!
Hi,
It must be something you overlooked. Can you email the backend access, I’ll see whats going on.
Of course What email do I have to write to?
You can click on my profile link here and find the email section.
Hi, I’ve been using the plugin for a while now without problems. I have recently migrated the whole site to a new host and the files show up fine in the overview, but now I get the error “Invalid backend configuration. Readable volumes not available” when I try and download or upload files.
How can I fix this? Not sure where to start looking.
Hi,
Moving the filemanager to a different host can change folder paths. You can deactivate and activate the plugin again. Also you may have to assign the folder permissions again.
I’ve done that, but when trying to assign the permissions I can see a bunch of folders, but not the File Manager ones…
Can you email me the backend access, let me check.
Sent
Got it, let me see. I’ll reply in email.
Hi
I tried the demo but I was wonder where is the image editor that you stated in description ?
The image editor is not available in the demo yet, you can see it here though:

Hi there. I just want to confirm that any registered user can upload a file and at time of upload, choose a user group that is able to access that file. Is that true? If so is the user group based on Wordpress roles such as admin, author, editor, etc. or some other type of group? Secondly, if the file is assigned to a group, can other groups see it’s thumbnail but just not download it, or do they not see it at all? Thanks!
Hi,
A register user can upload the file if a folder is assigned to them with read/write access. If other user are assigned the same folder, they can all see that file. In case of user groups, they can all see the file that the other user uploaded.
If a folder is assigned to a group, then other groups cannot see that folder at all. Files are not individually assigned, the folders are assigned to the users (or user groups).
I would like to display user’s default folders with controlled permissions via shortcodes, how can I achieve this?
So something like `[filemanager access=”r”]` & `[filemanager access=”rw”]`
Thanks
You can change the user’s permission to their default folders by going to the settings page and change the default folder permission to either read only or read/write.
You can just use the shortcode
[filemanager] More info here:
http://www.bloopes.com/products/filemanager/2018/06/06/default-folders/
Is there a way to change the permissions per user with a flag or something that could be activated by another plugin?
I want to be able to tie write permission to the folders to memberships in Memberpress.
Thanks
You need to change the filemanager permissions entries in the database to do that.
Ok, thank you. I’m looking into database triggers at the moment to achieve that.
Thank you for the help.

I am encountering an issue where the hosting I’m using is blocking the creation of triggers, would you know of any plugins or tools that might help achieve that?
You mean the database triggers? You can use cronjob to check for changes every few minutes and then run the code which you want to run. There are cronjob plugins for wordpress which can help too.
