hi – is there any way to use overlay markers to show world map with dots for customer locations? eg import list of 200 cities/customer locations & have map display dots?
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Yes, this is possible. To import the markers you’ll need to have the coordinates for each entry and format everything in a specific CSV format. Greetings, Carlos
Pre-sale – 1. I cannot see anything working on this page could you put the markers on it as this is the functionality I seek – https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/world-offices-map-information-display/#more-286
2. Can I use this for more than one website since we have subdomains?
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. I have updated the map to include the markers again. I had reached a google geocoding limit, so I changed the display mode to coordinates to skip the geocoding and now it will always work.
If it’s a multisite, yes, you only need one license and the plugin can be activated in each site. If you have any other question let me know. Greetings, Carlos
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Yes, this is possible. If you have any trouble implementing it let me know. Greetings, Carlos
Hi,
The map can’t detect Congo or Democratic Republic of Congo . Can you assist please.
Thanks
CD for Democratic Republic of Congo CG for Republic of CongoHope it helps. Greetings, Carlos
Specialised Elementor plugin would be great. Any plans to do so?
You can currently use the map shortcode on a text component from Elementor for example. A module to choose a previously created map might come in a future version, but not sure when. Hope it helps and sorry for the current limitations. Greetings, Carlos
Thanks for the prompt answer. It work smoothly with elementor.
I can’t see Singapore, Macau and Hong Kong regions on the map?
Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. Those countries unfortunately are too small to display at the scale the world map displays. They would be less than one pixel. To workaround this you could add some markers, if you need them to be interactive. More info at the end of this FAQ: https://codecanyon.net/item/interactive-world-maps/2874264/faqs/22414
Hope it helps and I’m sorry for this limitation. Greetings, Carlos
How to add markers on the regional map? Any documentation? Thanks
Sorry, I have shared the wrong link. This is the correct one: https://codecanyon.net/item/interactive-world-maps/2874264/faqs/22523 The documentation on how to add markers on a regions map: https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/advanced-tips/overlay-maps-regions-map-markers-text-labels/

Hi. Just a quick question before I buy. Is it compatible with WP 5.2.3?
Hi! Thank you for your interest. Yes, it’s compatible with 5.2.3. Greetings, Carlos
I’m using this plugin to list distributors in each state. I already have a number of distributors listed for each state with no issues. For California I have 9 listed. When I try to add a tenth one, I get an error every time I try to save the map. This is the message I get:
“Request Entity Too Large The requested resource does not allow request data with GET requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. Additionally, a 413 Request Entity Too Large error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
Anyone run into this problem when updating their map and have a fix? Thanks
Hi! In the settings page, try disabling the ‘save image preview’ option. That might allow for more data to be processed by the server. Check if this solves the issue. Greetings, Carlos
Thanks, but I don’t have that option in my settings. I assumed I need to update, so I tried to update the plugin. I’m using 1.7.2 and tried to download the update but it’s just the same version. I know it’s a silly question, but after I download a version, how can I find the version number? What file would it be in?
EDIT: I was able to confirm it’s 2.3.3.1 but I installed the files via FTP and deactivate and reactivated my plug-in on Wordpress but Wordpress still says I’m on 1.7.2. Is there any way to force it to update?
Most likely the ftp update didn’t go well. Before you proceed, make a copy of the content you have in the ‘advanced tab’ of the edit map screen, in the interactive regions section, just to make sure you don’t loose any data by mistake.
You can safely disable and delete the plugin and install the new version that you can download from your downloads section here on codecanyon. You can then enable the plugin. The maps should be recovered, but in any case you’ll have the advanced tab content backed up.
Check if it works.
You can also use the Envato Market plugin ( https://envato.com/market-plugin/ ) for automatic updates, but you’ll need to set it up first.
Greetings, Carlos
That worked and my info was still there when I reinstalled the plug-in. Everything is working great now. Thanks so much for your help!
Hi Carlos,
Where is Palestine (PS) ?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2:PSor Can i Put Palestine On Your Map?
Great plugin, Thanks
Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. You can display Palestine as an individual map, but unfortunately it’s not possible to colour it, only add markers. The maps are generated using the Google Geochart API which displays the region as a disputed territory so it’s not possible to highlight it. You can however add a marker on top of it if you need to make it clickable. You can use this technique: https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/advanced-tips/overlay-maps-regions-map-markers-text-labels/ Hope it helps and I’m sorry for the limitations. Greetings, Carlos
Can I use custom image on the markers and can I add image on the hover content?
Hi! In the current version you can set a custom image to be used instead of the round markers, but it will be the same image for all markers. In the tooltip you can have HTML, so you can have images there, just remember to enable the ‘html tooltips’ option in the settings. Hope it helps. Greetings, Carlos
Hi I’ve just started using this plugin and its awesome. I am curious I have seen it on another website where it has a search box with a dropdown of all regions? How do I get that search box into my page I can’t see any shortcode for it.
Thank you.
[show-map-dropdown id='X']to have a dropdown with all regions, but unfortunately there’s isn’t a search feature. In what website have you seen it? Maybe they’re using a different plugin for the search? Greetings, Carlos
is it possible to have the map show 3 or 4 states like the southwest instead of all 50 states?
If I have zipcodes and want to create an “area” just of those zipcodes will this plugin do that?
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Unfortunately this is not possible with my plugin. Sorry for this limitation. Greetings, Carlos
Hello Developer,
How to setting when I clicked on map by country will showing all post related map clicked? (Showing thumbnail, title, short description) as list. Possible to split page? If that map click a lot post.
Thank you.
Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. One simple way would be to link each country to the archive page of the category for the posts of that country. Another approach, if you have some knowledge of javascript, is to use the custom action option to create a function with jQuery load that will fetch the content of the archive page and display it in the current page: https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/advanced-tips/load-content-another-page-ajax/ Hope it helps. Greetings, Carlos
Hi.
Pre-sales question.
https://imgur.com/HhFByzwThe link above is the map that we want to reproduce on our WordPress site.
Notice: 1.) Some of the countries have both types of colors/shading. 2.) Numbers need to be displayed too for those countries with the green hash markings.
Can your plugin do this….??
Thanks in advance.
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Unfortunately it’s not possible to replicate exactly that map.
You would have to use 3 different colours, instead of a combination of the 2 patters you have. With my plugin the countries can only have a full colour.
You could have text labels on top of counties ( https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/advanced-tips/overlay-maps-regions-map-markers-text-labels/ ) but without line breaks.
And the legend would need to be done ‘outside’ the map, the plugin is not able to generate a legend automatically.
You can have a similar map, but it wouldn’t be the same. If you have any other question let me know. Greetings, Carlos
Carlos.
Appreciate the response.
Our map does not have to look exactly like the one you can see in my example.
All we need to do is to get two different colors on the same country, as they represent 2 different things.
Can this be done..??
I am not sure how the smaller EU countries can display 2 different colors at the same time. (That’s why we were using a color and a pattern.)
If we can solve this one issue, we will purchase it.
Thanks.
With my plugin it’s not currently possible to have one region with 2 colors. If you could use a third color to indicate the countries that match both things, it could be done. Otherwise it won’t be possible unfortunately. Sorry for the limitation. Greetings, Carlos
Hey, got the plugin by envato elements, can i place a marker in any region like São Paulo, Paris? I have seen your last videos on youtube but the plugin is way different now.
Hi! This plugin is not available on Elements. Maybe you’re using a plugin with a similar name from a different author? Greetings, Carlos
The page linked to for responsive map has no map on the page. Is responsive still working? Would like to purchase, but require responsive. Thanks-
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin. Yes, the maps are responsive. You can visit the demo page on mobile for example, to test it, all maps will be responsive. If you have any other questions please let me know. Greetings, Carlos
I want to buy but have questions:
1. I want to display Map of Africa only but show three colours: GREEN: all Countries already covered BLUE: countries to be covered soon GRAY: All other countries of Africa
2. Can I display legends below which would explain what these 3 colors above mean (Covered, To be covered soon, Not yet covered)
3. Can I set links on countries?
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the plugin! Yes, it’s possible to display Africa and have the countries with different colours and links. The legend however would need to be done outside of the map, with custom code. I have done it in this example: https://cmoreira.net/interactive-world-maps-demo/usa-custom-election-map/ The code I used for each: https://pastebin.com/raw/kA1CrcSb Hope it helps. If you have any other question let me know. Greetings, Carlos
Hello, yes I want legend to be outside of map but done vertically and not horizontally. I mean colour per line and name outside of colour. like this:
Yellow: Obama Green: Macron Blue: Boris
I will go ahead and buy and hopefully you will provide what to do to get legends as explained above
Thank you for purchasing! There are several ways to do the html to display that. Here’s an example:
https://jsfiddle.net/cmoreira/ynrkz3p5/You can change the values you need. You can repeat the amount of times you need. If you have trouble implement this, write me using the ‘contact author’ option in the support tab and we’ll follow up using email. Greetings, Carlos
Hi, does this plugin support any formatting of the text inside the popups? We’d like to display a list of +/- 10 projects completed within each country’s popup. Thanks
Hi! If you have the HTML tooltips option enabled in the settings, you can use HTML code there and therefore have lists or line breaks. Alternatively, you can use the option to display content inside a lightbox, so that when the country or marker is clicked, longer content would display in a lightbox. Greetings, Carlos
Hi, I am interested in your plugin and I would like to check if it is feasible to use as a map a .jpg from my computer where I can put bespoke markers and determinate some regions in that .jpg and when I move my mouse over that region It can show a picture ? Thanks in advance
Hi! Thank you for your interest in the maps! The plugin only works with the maps provided by the Geochart API, it’s not possible to use custom maps unfortunately. You can set a custom image as a background of an existing map, but that won’t have the same effect. Sorry for this limitation. Greetings, Carlos
