What happens when there are duplicate file names?
They are getting replaced – filenames shall be unique in the respective folder (YYYY -> MM).

Our plugin scans the whole page for .jpg and .png links. It gathers all URLs, visits them and saves those images into your Media Library.
If webserver is not responding to the direct image URL (delay, 404 status etc), it will bypass them.

This relies behind a high level DDoS protection set on Cloudflare, which causes EVERY request to be double/triple checked along with a waiting time.
Its normal that the plugin wont work on such URLs, due to their nature. There is no other solution for such a URL. No other plugins will work for it aswell.
if the page i ask to scrape shows a cropped version of the full image, will the tool then grab the cropped image or will it grab the full image?
Can I have a URL of your example? It should grab every .jpg and .png in page source.
take this page https://techcrunch.com/2019/04/24/tesla-reports-702-million-loss-in-first-quarter/. The featured image is showing at 1390×781 on the page, but the true size is 3840×2160. I’m wondering if this plugin will grab the 1390 size or will it grab the 3840 size?
Should work just fine.
In the source of this URL, there are two images:
1. /tesla-Model-3-Blue-Driving.png
2. /cropped-cropped-favicon-gradient.png
The second is the favicon of the website and the first one is the initial image of 3840pixels width, that is beign served as 1390pixels width on the webpage.
I can confirm that plugin will download the initial image: the 3840pixels one.
