Hello Radu, I’ve been submitted another item that need to be given a look at. I’m not completely sure if this has to do with the music portal sub-system, or the BBpress system. Here it is, as stated directly from one of the techs here.
“Another function that doesn’t seem to make sense or isn’t functioning correctly is when one is on a Song page there is no link (that I’ve found) to the Artist’s page. There is a clickable link in the About the Author section on the song page and that takes you to a page called Archives with a search field. Seems like that should take one directly to the Artist’s page.”
I’m hoping that it will make better sense to you than it does to myself and that together we can figure it out.
One of my code guys may have spotted some information that will help you with the artist name issue, Radu. He sent me the following:
I believe the use of the variable $current_user->data->ID should be $current_user->ID starting at line 1663 and anywhere thereafter of class-dzsapp.php in the Portal code as per “https://codex.wordpress.org/wp_get_current_user”

You’ll have to be a little more specific, as your comments comes after two comments speaking to two separate issues. If you are speaking to the first comment, which refers to the “link to the Artist’s page”, I will agree that I doubt it has to do with the Music Platform.
The second comment, however, I’m not quite so sure, as the file being referred to is the “class-dzsapp.php”, which does have to do with the Music Platform.

Regarding the artist name issue, on the posting of a song, I’ve noticed that if the artist name appears incorrectly (attributed to another artist) that placing the correct name in the “Artist Name” area, above the “Wrapper Image”, and saving it, will correct that displayed name. Hopefully, that will help you in tracking the issue.

Here are some additional questions. Is it possible for users to edit their own comments? Can a user who submits songs delete their own songs? May listeners edit their own comments on others songs?

Just applied this update. The capability, allowing the user to delete their own music, appears to be working.
One item I noticed, I no longer see the ‘Audio xxx” menu selection on the main Wordpress admin menu. It has unexplainably vanished. Any thoughts? I’m hoping it isn’t related to the update.
The “Audio Items” I believe it what the menu text was.

With the ‘Audio Item’ menu item no longer available, I am unable to view any audio listing, making is much more difficult to repair any audio files with the artist name condition, or recover audio files with “apostrophes” used in the filename.

The menu item has appeared again, quite mysteriously. Must have been some type of conflict that has either resolved itself, or has been resolved inadvertently.

Radu, I hate to bother you. It must feel like I’m a constant bug, or something. However, the Audio Items dashboard menu selection is no longer available. It has disappeared again. This came to my attention, after a new audio category was requested. Without it, I have no method of creating the category. If required, once provided with an email address to send credentials, I can provide you with admin access to the site, so that you can examine the situation.

Done. Thank you for taking a look at this.
Notified of a new item today. It would appear that “Likes” aren’t working correctly. With no likes having been made, what appears to be a phantom item is showing, This item produces an error and can’t be played. While testing, I tried to “like” a song. This song was not added to the likes page, rather only the phantom items showed, along with it’s associated error. The error is: “MEDIA_ELEMENT_ERROR: Empty src attribute”.

One last item of note. When someone likes more than one song, the songs in their like area, within BuddyPress will break, showing only one item which is not playable.

“As this is generated based on each track, you have to regenerate these files, by going to each track and clicking the Autogenerate Waveform Button again.”
Well, it would appear that I do not see any of the audio files that have been uploaded by users in the Media Library, to be able to select the “AutoGenerate Waveform” button. They are on the system and can be played, but not showing in the Media Library. I wonder how that can be?

To change waveform color and size, go to ZoomSounds > Player Configurations and change these seetings - Highlight Color

Hopefully the issue with artist names being displayed incorrectly can be solved. This is the only issue, with this system, that is keeping our site from going live.
I really hate to bother you, but… Found an issue where when users like more than 1 song, the likes do not show properly in the “Likes” are of their BuddyPress profile. Rather, it shows a broken song “media Element Error – empty source attribute. Add another item to the list.- Thanks. Rich

There are times when, after uploading a song, the authors name is changed to that of another user. This can be manually corrected. However, as I’m sure you are aware, this can be very frustrating and time consuming.
I hope that this issue can be fixed. It is the only major issue that is stopping a site from going public.

Well, I’ve gone in and manually corrected the items where this has take place already. I will upload some items in hopes of replicating it and provide a link here.
Have an issue where the number of likes, showing on the charts, is not the same being showed on the song item itself. Any thoughts?
An additional item of concern is that the thumbnails are all turned to the gray man, instead of the thumbnail graphic that was with the song.

As of today, I’ve posted a couple of additional songs. These, two songs, show the proper thumbnails. The original 3 songs are still showing incorrectly. https://indiemusic.space/When I uploaded the last two songs, I had to go into the entries and add the artist name to each, as they originally, after posting them, showed the ‘admin’ as the author, even though they were posted under a different account. Very odd. Thoughts?
One new issue – when new songs are posted, they are showing in the charts with the authors name as ‘admin’ instead of the proper author name. Have to go into “Audio Items” and edit the song entry, manually entering the name in “Artist Name” at the bottom of all the options. That may be a bug. Please check.

1.Please how can I create a new chart showing recently uploaded songs sorted by recent upload time and not likes.
2. User are submitting their songs without the audio file being completely uploaded can you add a loading spinner icon or percentage progress bar when users are uploading an image, audio file and cover album.
3. During the upload process at the (GRAPHICS/COVER IMAGE SECTION) when I click on the upload button to insert a cover image I get a error message saying only (only songs are allowed) this should be an image instead of audio file.
4. Under the (MISCELLANEOUS SECTION) can you add an input form for soundcloud link apart from the itunes link.
5. I want to remove the share menu tab that enables embeds

I just purchased your plugin and there is no documentation on how to setup except for this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNw-2wHVoT0 I dont use a page builder isn’t there a shortcode I can place inside the gutenberg page editor also, which shorccode do I place on the page that will list all users upload song.
