Hello. I have a website in production with an activated rule that checks new posts on Tumblr every hour. After two hours of many manual running of this rule, these actions, both, manual and automatic, have stopped importing posts. I suspect that is due to a limitation of the hosting after many (many) manual calls to the Tumblr server, but the configuration of the rule as well as the tags with which previously worked perfectly, no longer matter posts, and no configuration has been modified. Any ideas about this inconvenience?

Yes, you can add the link of the Tumblr post, by adding the %%item_url%% shortcode in the ‘Generated Post Content’ settings field, in importing rule settings -> save settings -> import new content.

I’m trying to import tumblr to post images. That works ok, hotlinking them. But a lot of webs have no implemented Open Graph protocol and the og:image is not defined. I’ve checked the Auto Get Featured Image on an action to import the first image of the post to catch as featured, uploading an local image to my tumblr post and running the action again, but it not works. hey there, sometimes it posts properly but most of the time its posting no featured image and doesn’t add it to a category i specify, it just says uncategorized with no featured image. its like it only works once, is this a cron issue with wordpress? or i could be wrong please help fix

Please try the following to fix this:
Please go to the ‘Posts To Tumblr’ plugin settings -> ‘Delay Posting By (Seconds)’ -> set it to 5.
This will solve your issue if your posts are generated automatically by autoposting plugins. If this is not the case, and this settings does not help you, please let me know.

Hi, does the plugin handle importing Tumblr videos to Wordpress? I know its a different platform, but could it import the embed as the same code as the tumblr embed, so it works?

i tried this plugin in your test site. i used tumblr to wordpress function. i wanted to import from tumblr blog which have 1000 post but when i run that rule plugin only can import 20 post max. how can i increase that, or how can i import all post.

To import all posts from your Tumblr blog, you should check the ‘Remember Last Posted Item And Continue Search From It’ checkbox from importing rule’s ‘Settings’ panel.
If you check that, the plugin continue to import at each run from where it left the last time. In this way, all posts will be imported over time, in batches of 20.
The maximum amount of 20 posts per run is set by the Tumblr API, so I cannot increase this value. The only solution for this is multiple import runs.

Just purchased the plugin but looks like photos options doesn’t work with Woocommerce products. Is there a way to get woocommerce product images to get added to the posts on Tumblr? titles, descriptions, links and everything else works except when it comes to products there is no featured image. Tried to include the %featured_image % to it but that just adds a link to the content. Would really like the image to show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this plugin uses hotlinking for images that are found in the imported post’s content (it does not copy them locally). Instead, if you generate featured images for the generated posts, these are copied locally to your server and used from there.
