The shoutbox is responsive, it only needs modification in the main.css file (for desktop as well as mobile, tablet etc) to change colors, fonts etc.

Thank you for this nice script. Could you please advice (the solution mentioned above from 1 year ago does not work unfortunately) how to prevent the Chatbox from loading all messages. I use autologin with username, but when going to the chat the chatbox loads and auto-scrolls (in a nice way) through all previous posts, but this is time-consuming and will be annoying and a load once the chatmessages grow in number. Please advice how to set the Chatbox to only show the latest 50 chatmessages. Thanks and cheers.

Yes, that would be possible just needs some minor tweaks on the script. Simply prefill the username field and auto-submit it via JavaScript.

In the file lib/shoutbox.class.php is a configuration value for the refresh rate. Does increasing it helps?

Thanks for your purchase! It seems like there is an issue with your server provider. You could try to ask for support from them or use the version without the installer instead which should be always working.

1. You could include it easily with an iframe to any website where you have access to the template or where you could change the HTML. 2. Currently there’s no admin interface, sorry.
Hmm here a few susggestions:
1. Hide function.. so that you can hide the chat.. or scoll it up.
2. A function that you can place in the DB an Admin, so you could login with an code or something in the chat.. So you are allowed to ban users or delete messages
3. Ban Word function.. So you could set up in a txt words that are bannend for using!
4. That the entered name will be safed local on your browser.. so that you dont have to use everytime a new name.

To reduce the storage database, how I can limit the number of messages that are stored in the database? And how I can limit the number of last messages that are shown when entering the shoutbox?
Thanks for your purchase! Currently there’s no real configuration value for changing the number of last messages, but you just need to change the number (10) in line 178 of lib/shoutbox.class.php. An automatic clearance of the database is not implemented, a simple cronjob script which delete the oldest entries could be done pretty easy.

This is the line of code that I find at line number 178:

Hi, I tested it now and if you change that number in line 172 (sorry for the previous outdated line number) it will just show that amount of lines when you enter the shoutbox. If it still doesn’t work, please create and send me (S)FTP access to your shoutbox folder that I can investigate it.
