You could prefill the username input with your member name and auto submit it. This is not possible natively but with it’s a simple tweak you could integrate that feature or simply contact me via mail.
I already change the login system takes into account the direct member of my nickname but I would like that when its member on the shoutbox and well below the shoutbox displays his pseudo user connect the shout

You want to show the list of connected users below the shoutbox? That’s not a feature of the item, but it might be possible to add with custom coding. Indeed to have a almost 100% correct list there might be bigger changes.

There may be an update in future. I just tested the script the the latest jQuery 2.1.x and it works without any problems! You need to integrate the migration script from jQuery as well because the Shoutbox has some $.browser retrieves.

I successfully installed everything and made no further changes to the files, I can login and make a shout, and shouts are added in the database, but on the websites no shouts can be seen, everything is blank. I am using PHP 5.4 and MySQL 5.

#2 You can put it in an iframe for example, so it’s ready to get integrated nearly everywhere.
#3 This needs some extra work or you simply install the shoutbox multiple times.

Does this script allow the administrator to be alerted when someone is viewing the website and allow the administrator to initiate the chat (i.e. a popup on the web page that the guest is viewing), rather than waiting for the guest to login to chat.
i.e. Kind of like a sales representative approaching someone browsing their store rather than the other way around? If not, can you please let me know of another chat script that does.

Currently none of these things are included, but 1, 3 and 4 could be easily extended by a programmer to the basic script.

Yes, simply install the script multiple times in different folders with different database tables and each Shoutbox has its unique “room”.
First off, great app! Well documented and the install couldn’t have been easier.
I would like to put a front end on the shoutbox to require people to login with a password, or social media login using oAuth. I have that part all covered, how big of a job is it going to be to then use that username in the shoutbox?

The job wouldn’t be huge, more a small modification add-on could achieve what you need if the username could be provided already via a third-party oAuth tool or with a password depending on the login system itself.

It would be possible if you add some custom PHP code to the chat. Such a built-in feature is not available.

It could be customized and an auto-login wouldn’t be really difficult to implement.
