SpotifyClass sounds like a fantastic PHP wrapper for the Spotify API, making it a breeze to interact with Spotify’s features without diving into the intricacies of cURL requests. It’s noteworthy that it supports the entire Spotify API, including beta endpoints, and comes equipped with a robust error handling system to ensure smooth operations. If you’re into maximizing your Spotify experience, I’d also suggest checking out Vanced MicroG Spotify APP, which can complement your music journey further. Give it a download or visit to enhance your Spotify adventures! #Spotify #APIWrapper #EnhancedExperience
Does this request an update to be full functional?
Also, does Spotify allow streaming analytic data to be pulled via their API
Hello, We’re getting an “Illegal scope” error. We applied the help file exactly but we couldn’t get any results.
Update: We made a test with the examples you uploaded. We get an error in the “user_auth” example. There is no error in the “Playback_Control” instance. If we add the “user-read-email” permission to the “Playback_Control” instance, we do not get any errors, but when we add “user-read-private” and “user-read-birthdate” we get an error. In a nutshell, the “user-read-private” and “user-read-birthdate” permissions break where they are added. How can we fix this. The error code is always the same: “Illegal scope” Best Regards.
Hello.
I’m sorry you’re having issues with SpotifyClass.
Please contact me at support@sglancer.com, with specific details about the errors, to assist you further.
Best regards,
Ricardo.
Hello again.
Upon further investigation, it looks like the user-read-birthdate scope was deprecated by Spotify. If you could send me an email, I’ll be glad to send you a fixed version of SpotifyClass right away (even though this only affects the examples, not the funcionality of the class). This fix will be included in an upcoming version as well.
Sorry for the inconveniences.
Best regards,
Ricardo.
Thank you for your answer. We solved the problem temporarily by using only “read_email” in “Playback_Control” sample project, but we could not get full authorization. We are waiting for the updated file. We will keep track of your new update. Thank you for your support, you can send a file to seckinfikir@gmail.com.
Hi, Thanks for your work. With Search example, I’m trying to find “Bibz Ö Top” which does exist, and I get no result… Any idea why? Cheers!
Hi there.
Thank you for letting me know, it seems that there’s an encoding issue. Please send me an email to support@sglancer.com, to send you a fixed version ASAP.
Best regards,
Ricardo.
can you monetize with adsnese or another ad network, or sell memberships?
Hello.
This is a PHP class, not a system. This means there’s nowhere to show any kind of ads.
Best regards,
Ricardo.
I need to create a BPM finder. Given a song title with or without the artist I want to list all the songs returned with their BPM (temp) along with song title, artist, album, song duration
Yes, you can do that with this API wrapper. You would be using Spotify’s Search and Tracks endpoints. Please note this is just an API wrapper, so you’ll still need to code your tool according to your needs, which in your case would be: searching tracks with the Search endpoint, and then run every result you got through the Tracks endpoint to get BPM, title, artist, etc..
You can read more about the endpoints here:
https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/search/search/
https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/tracks/get-track/
https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/tracks/get-audio-analysis/
Best regards,
Ricardo.
Okay things are going well. How to do you recommend escaping input before sending to Spotify. For example apostrophes.
The search method of SpotifyClass encodes the search string to be used in an URL, converting apostrophes to their corresponding %27 reference. Apparently this doesn’t work with Spotify.
You can remove all apostrophes from the search string before passing it to the search method, and it’ll work as it should. If that is not an option, please contact me at support@sglancer.com and I can modify the class for you.
Best Regards,
Ricardo.
Am I able to use it to build up a dashboard to analyze any artist available on spotify? E.g., full info about their audience, (country, age, gender), daily/week/monthly streams reports, etc. To be clear, the goal is to have a toll where I can analyze the performance of any artist on spotify without having access to their spotify artist dashboard app (spotify for.artists). Please.let me know if I can do that with your tool. Thanks
This class will let you access the following Spotify’s endpoints:
- /v1/artists/{id}
- /v1/artists/{id}/albums
- /v1/artists/{id}/top-tracks
- /v1/artists/{id}/related-artists
- /v1/artists
Specifically, I think the first endpoint is useful for your purpose: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/artists/get-artist/
If you have any more questions, you can also contact me at my email: support@sglancer.com.

Ricardo.
