I am using the Buyers Guide plugin on a site in combination with the Salient theme, but the activation of this plugin gives a problem with icons used by the Salient theme. It makes the used icons in a list invisible. Do you know the problem and is there a solution for this?

I have a issue with empty questions that can’t be removed I had set my maximum questions to 7, but I needed to add a few more so I changed it to 12 Now I get after question 7 automaticly question 10 + 11 + 12, all including 4 choices…. and I can’t delete any of them
I can add a new question and then I get question 8 with one choice, but the questions 10-11-12 won’t go away

So what is the limit on how many attributes you can show on a page at a time. Please be more clear. I am interested in this plugin but need to know what can be done and what can’t. U have alot of great products and looking at possibly getting others. let me know for each question so I know. thxs
You can show as many attributes as you create and yes you can show an icon if you want.
But its not possible to create choices by product tag automatically.
You can try our plugin out and if it does not work as you want, you can request a refund.

What is not working in detail?
If the plugin is activated, the shop page will be displayed incorrectly. So design elements, like animations do not work anymore. In addition somehow the Buying Guide is not indicated.The shop side also has very big performance problems…
Small update: Plugin had problems with my caching settings. Now everything works again. Cool plugin!

Hi, we want to use Buying guide for our site, to help customers find the correct product. everything looks good but we have some problems with getting it to work as expected.
Filtering problems, When using / checking- Hide Products First Hide all products in the beginning …...
(used to get a clean look and remove sub category and products)
Products do not show if they are in the main category after question, when unticking the product shows as expected. Is there a bug with this?
Is it possible to use shortcode to place the buying guides on the correct page? or collect all on a separate page?
(we would like to have one for all, and separate on sublevel) spliting categorys like this. 3D printers (questions ) - FDM - SLA
at the moment we have deactivated the plugin, as it does not work at all for us.

Yes you can use an image instead of a radio button. But the radio button will then disapear and only show the image.

ok..I have figured out the theme compatibility issue ..But i still need help to the following issues :

Hello! I have a weird problem… or problems rather.
1) Currently we have a Guide set up on our development site. The guide handles about 450 products which are very similar and only differ in three attributes. The guide has 4 questions and the last question asks what dimensions the customer wants for their products. The dimensions are retrieved from an attribute. We have several hundred values for that attribute and at the most, 50 of those values are displayed after going through the previous three questions. So my question to you is… Is it possible to change from radio buttons to a drop box instead? Have a look at this image: https://ibb.co/gCbBDL
2) The other problem is that once you clicked one of these values, no products are displayed. Depending on which value you choose, it might work but I’ve tried maybe 20 different combinations of answers so far and at least 75% give me nothing. I was under the impression that if there are no products that match my choices, no values for the last question would show up because eveything has been filtered away, right?

Okay, for the first question I’ll have to find a solution on my own, but as for the second problem, I think you’re misunderstanding me. I’m not asking whether it’s possible to hide a question and all its choices, My problem is that during a question, there are choices appearing that lead to no products. In most instances, only relevant choices are displayed (again, we’re only doing questions with choices based on attributes).
Let’s say we have two questions:
1. Would you like a t-shirt or hoodie? Choice 1: T-shirt Choice 2: Hoodie
2. What colour would you prefer? Choice 1: Green Choice 2: Yellow
Now let’s assume that there are t-shirts in both yellow and green but hoodies only come in yellow. So if you pick “Hoodie” in question one, only “Yellow” would be displayed in question 2. Well, this isn’t the case for us right now… Both colours are displayed and when you select “Green”, no products are displayed, which means the guide is quite pointless.

I am trying to use the plugin and once I am activating it, it adds about 10 seconds to my load times. Doesn’t matter what page and on both, admin panel and front.
How can I solve this?

Go to plugin settings and limit the amount of questions and answers.
I tried changing the limits but even when setting 1 on both, I am getting 20+ seconds of load time. On any page.
How many products / attribute do you have?
About 1100 products and lots of attributes

I am setting up Woocommerce Buying Guide, but I don’t have anything appearing on the Shop Page (http://tapmaster.backgrount.ca/shop/) Appears that it is loading but without any content. I have tried disabling the live filter and also adjusting plugin/woocommerce settings. Can you provide any advice?

Hi, I installed the Redux Framework and the MetaBox plugin (as required on your FAQ site)
I now have the following problems :
1) Some of my text has turned into Orange, I set the correct color in “bying guide settings” and in the “Sample Options”... but it keeps being Orange

3) Also not sure what you mean exactly? At the end of the guide you can see the choices.

Hi, Just purchased the buyers guide and need it to work on a category page or the shop page that normally shows only sub-categories not products.
So user would select options then the guide would display the products. When I try this it does not display. I need to have categories configured to show products.
Is this the expected behaviour?

I’m using the Uncode Theme, but there’s a problem with displaying it on the category page. Only the before_shop_loop funtction works because the theme use a custom archive page.

Hmm you could create a child theme and then use our shortcode.

Sorry our plugin does not contain a shortcode. The only option you have is to find out why your theme does not stick to the offical woo core guideliines.
Shortcode is now supported in latest version.
