What is the difference between the Bookly Custom Fields (Add-on) and Bookly Customer Information plugin?

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

Custom fields -> allow you to created new fields for collecting information from the customer during the booking process. The fields are displayed in the “Details” step and it is available if you open an appointment – with a click on the customer’s name you got a pop-up which shows you all the filled fields. This info can be used in notifications by using the shortcode: {custom_fields}. The information achieved through Custom fields is saved each time a customer books an appointment, therefore, it can be different every time.

Customers information – you can create new fields for collecting info about a certain customer for the customer profile. These fields are also displayed in “Details” step but the data can be found only in the menu “Customers” and it is not displayed anywhere else.

Thanks!
Kate

I am looking to capture address information specific to an appointment. ie – we have realtors looking to book services for their clients. The realtor address stays the same as they are the client but the location they require the service will change. Is the additional fields able to handle addresses that we could possibly add the google address complete tool to?

Hello,

Thanks for being interested in our services. If I understood correctly, you need the address to be filled with a kind of autocomplete tool. For this, I would recommend you to check our add-on Google Maps Address: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718813-Google-Maps-Address-Add-on Contact us for any additional questions.

What I need is address fields specific to the appointment, not the customer and I would like those to be auto filled using Google Maps.

Hello!

Thanks for reaching out.

Currently, such an option is not supported.

But you can leave your request here: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200189331-Feature-Requests and if it gets enough votes it might be implemented in the future release.

Thanks!

Hello, I am working on your free plugin currently, and would like to add address fields to the details step, where the form is. Is this plugin most suitable or the custom fields plugin? Further, do I need to have the pro plugin installed to make use of add-ons as well?

https://elvinserver.com/jpw/free-estimate-scheduler/

Thanks

Hello!

Thanks for reaching out.

Address field can be enabled in Settings – Customers http://prntscr.com/mruuse and then in appearance http://prntscr.com/mrwe7q

Yes, to make use of our add-ons you need to have the Bookly Pro plugin installed.

Thanks!
Julia

Hello, there are a few questions I can’t seem to find the answers to. But first i’d like to say I feel very mislead after buying your plugin. It’s advertised as the #1 booking plugin, but to get #1 features you have to purchase add-ons… It seems to have great functionality, but after bought it for my client, I find out any functionality that seemed to be displayed for the main plugin I would have to be purchased as an add-on.

The questions I have though are:

- I did purchase the “Customer information” add-on, which I hoped would help me do some of the things I’m trying to do. But I can’t even figure out how I put those “custom fields” into the booking form…

1.) How can I make it so customers can purchase services for more than one day. We’re using this for a hotel, and usually people will want to stay for a weekend.

2.) We’re not charging them until they reach the hotel. but we need their credit card information in case they cancel. How can I get their card information, while they still choose to pay for the room locally?

2b.) I also want to get rid of the paypal option altogether. How would I do that?

3.) Is there an option where if they bring 2 extra people (how how can I give them this option), we can change the price of the room they’re booking?

4.) Is there a way to make it so they can check-in any time of the day? So instead of it giving them times between 8am and 5pm, and letting them arrive between 6am and 11pm.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

And sorry for the delayed reply, we were unable to answer you in a timely manner due to the high volume of requests at the moment. We appreciate your patience.

We apologize if something is unclear. We always make it to a point to be transparent and open if the feature is inclusive of the plugin or if it’s an add-on.

Bookly is designed to work with a weekly schedule, after you set up the staff member’s schedule – this schedule will be repeated for the following weeks. The Add-ons are intended to help give more flexibility to achieve desired features.

1.) The Multiply Appointments Add-on is used for time-flexible services which will potentially let your clients determine the length of their appointments by booking several identical services in consecutive appointments. Check this article: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/210138469-Multiply-Appointments-Add-on for more details.

2.) Currently, the option here is to make use of our Deposit Payments Add-on which will allow you to divide payment into 2 installments: a portion of the price paid online during booking, with the rest to be paid offline when the client arrives for their appointment. However, we’re constantly working on improvements and value all feedback. That’s why we’ve created a Feature Request forum: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/200189331-Feature-Requests.

The forum is where we track requests for new capabilities, and our product development depends directly on the number of votes each request receives. That’s why we encourage you to record a request that best fits your business needs.

2b.) To completely get rid of PayPal option, you need to go to Settings > Payments > Disabled (PayPal Express Checkout): http://joxi.net/MAjjkEGC40Go3A.

3.) The Service Extras add-on (https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/207647799-Extra-Products-Treatments-Service-Extras-add-on-) allows you to offer extra services, goods, or options to tweak the service – in your requirement, allowing your guests to bring extra people which you can specify a different price.

4.) Please note that the system takes into account only staff members’ schedule, not the company business hours, when rendering a list of available time slots.

I have done a test on a provider with 3pm-11am schedule then created a service with a duration of 1 day and specifying the start and end times: http://joxi.net/KAxaQBVSMJQZnr. The front-end then shows the available timeslot like this: http://joxi.net/E2pQJEVI9R1O9A.

And this is how it looks like in the front-end: http://joxi.net/krDwKz8FE8O13A once the corresponding date(s) is selected.

Please send us an email to support@bookly.info with this ticket number 95030 and your purchase code for Bookly Pro if you have additional questions or further help is needed.

Many thanks,
Richel

Hi.

Pre-sale question for plugin “Bookly Customer Information (Add-on)”.

I need to enable a checkbox option in which I have two conditional options, for example “yes” and “no”, in case of activating the option “yes” the person will be able to advance to the next stage, on the contrary, if you press the option “no” an alert message is displayed.

Can you help me achieve something like that? Can we program this result by editing the css?

I am attentive to your response to buy,

regards

Hi,

Hello what’s the difference between this one and custom fields addon? i need to collect 2/3 extra bits of information at sign up which one will I need this one or custom fields addon?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

The difference between the add-ons is the following:
The Custom Fields add-on provides the option to add new custom fields that will be displayed on the details step. The information for these fields will be saved separately in each booked appointment.
The Customer Information add-on provides the option to add new fields for customers, these fields will also be displayed on the details step. Though these fields will be saved to each customer in part, and in case he’s logged in, these fields will be already filled in.

Thanks!
Kirill

Hi. Is there a way of assigning a different set of additional fields based on the service category?

Hello,

You can assign a field to the service Custom Fields add-on (https://codecanyon.net/item/bookly-custom-fields-addon/21113970?s_rank=18). The assigned statements or questions will be shown on the details step. You can look into the add-on’s demo via the following link: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/custom-fields/ .

Is it possible to use your plugin as a booking plugin for a meeting room? and then allow a person to see who has booked the room currently to request a swap of times?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us.

Currently, the only way to see who has booked a service is through the back-end. Though, the information that could be seen in the back-end depends on the access level rights provided to the user (https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212973745-Access-to-WP-Dashboard-for-Staff). Taking this into account, I would say that Bookly is not the right fit for the requested functionality.

Thanks!

Hi, I’ve installed Customer Info add-on, is enabled, but when customer is checking checkoboxes then they don’t show up checked in admin menu (Bookly -> Customers). I see only labels from checkbox groups. I can edit each customer and check values but when client is doing it then they don’t save. It’s visible on database – when client is filling details form then to the database is passed empty array.

Notes are also not passed.

It turns out that it doesn’t work with WooCommerce – when disable WooCommerce

Hi,

Please send us an email to support@ladela.com with this ticket number #63064 and the purchase codes so we could look into this matter.

Hi

I’m looking to have a customer account page that clients can manage their personal bookly user details. Is there an add on or setting currently eithin the plugin to allow this.

I have the appointment page set up for clients to view, amend or cancel their bookings but I would like all the information that bookly collects on customers available in their own accounts page to edit and view also. I have the bookly customers linked to wp users.

The main reason is for GDPR customer control.

Is this possible?

Hello,

Currently, the requested functionality is not available in Bookly. Customers can use the appointment list to view and cancel their appointments. Please check this link for more details: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212455529-Online-Access-to-Bookings-for-Clients
