Hello. I have a presale question. Can we remove the prefixes from additional added custom product taxonomies like “product-category” for category before slug and “product” before product slug.

We added custom product taxonomi with name: ideas and now we have a prefix: ideas-example-idea1, so the final slug is: domain.com/ideas-example-idea1, but we need to remove the prefix.

Regards

is it dead?

Hi there,

I realise this reply is a few years out of date but I thought i’d reply on the off chance that you might still be looking for this functionality. I’ve actually taken over this account and its items and working on getting things back on track.

We’ve just released an updated version of the Woocommerce SEO plugin which adds a number of new features and is fully compatible with the later versions of Wordpress and Woocommerce.

I appreciate it might be a bit too late for you, but if you’d like to discuss further then please feel free to email me and we can discuss.

Thanks

Compatible With: WooCommerce 3.5.x, WooCommerce 3.4.x

Any plan to update?

Hi there,

Apologies for the late reply. Those details are a little out of date. The plugin has been updated. We run our own update server and the plugin is automatically updated from your Wordpress dashboard.

However, the plugin is in the middle of a rewrite from the ground up that will be updated here to bring everything up to date.

Hope that helps

I’m using WP Easy Cart but I’m losing sales like crazy is it easy to replace everything if I switch?

Hi there,

The plugin in question is an add on for the Woocommerce plugin. I think you might be confusing the two plugins. I think you want the Woocommerce plugin which is free to download on wordpress.org.

Hi there. Just a presale question This plugin help me to get rid of product category base, ok, but what about product single page?

example

misite/product/product-name

with your plugin will be

misite/product-name

??

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Currently no it doesn’t but its a feature that we’re working on at the moment.

Is this plugin still supported? The “Visit plugin site” link in our WP plugins page points to a 404 error: http://codeninjas.co/plugins/woocommerce-seo. The “Live Preview” link on CodeCanyon is also a 404.

Please inform us of the plugin status as this is a vital plugin for us, and if we need to make alternate plans for this functionality, we need to know ASAP.

Hi there,

Yes the plugin is very much alive and still being support. We’ve just been in the process of redoing our site and updating the docs which has taken a lot longer than we wanted (client work always takes priority over our own).

The site will be up and running with the next week or so but rest assured that we’re still here should you need anything :)

Hi, thanks for your quick response. Please notify us when the documentation is back online. I’m interested in finding out whether the plugin supports the product schema tags that Google is now paying more attention to:

https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2019/02/help-customers-discover-your-products.html

If these schema tags are not supported, please let us know when or if they will be. Thanks!

Hi,

So the scheme tags are actually implemented directly into a Woocommerce template. The default template within Woocommerce already implements them. If your site doesn’t have them implemented then you will need to get theme developer to add them to the Woocommerce template files within the theme.

Hi there, we had since long ago sometimes suddenly on the product pages a 404 error, but last months it happens very often. This happens when you resave woocommerce settings and also sometimes when resave products. We have tested also in dev area with disabled the seo plugin, and all was fine.

Ok, give me a few days and i’ll try and replicate the issue on my end.

Hi any news? Is there an update? Iám tired of resave permalink several times a week

Hi there,

I think i sent you an email regarding this. I was unable to replicate this on my end so i’m not sure what could be causing this. Can you email me a screenshot of all the plugins that you have installed please. There might be a conflict somewhere.

no update in last two years…wow

Hey,

Yes there hasn’t been an update for a while and although we have features planned that we’d like to add there hasn’t been an urgent need to update the plugin. That a testament to how well the plugin has been coded even after all the updates that Woocomerce and Wordpress have gone through.

However, don’t let the lack of update be any indication of our commitment to our products. If any issues do arise, we’re quick to provide a fix and we will be updating this plugin soon as soon as work from client quietens down a little.

Hope that helps

looking forward for “features planned” – best of luck…

Of course!

If there is anything that you would like to see in the plugin that would be useful than please feel free to email us and we’ll see what we can do.

Hello,

I just installed the plugin. I get a fatal error on the front end:

Fatal error: Class ‘WC_Widget’ not found in /home/jakubsnm/public_html/mysite/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/includes/widgets/class-wcseo-layered-nav-widget-2-7.php on line 23

Please help.

Hi there,

What version of Woocommerce are you using?

Hello, Version 3.4.5

Ok, let take and look and try to replicate it on my end. I’ll get back you within the next day or so.

you plugins support WP Version 4.9.8?

Hi there,

Yes. the latest version of Wordpress and Woocommerce are supported.

hi there, i have no SEO plugin installed in my woo commerce site. is your plugin enough to do seo and increase site traffic or i have to purchase some other plugin along with this plugin kindly guide

Hi there,

Our SEO plugin only handles the SEO for Woocommerce. Ideally you would need something that can add SEO functionality for the rest of Wordpress so you would need something else.

However there are plenty of free plugins that provide SEO for Wordpress so you wouldn’t need to purchase anything at all.

Hope that helps

Hello, the documentation site does not work ?: http://codeninjas.co/plugins/woocommerce-seo/documentation I can not find the meta options on my sites after i installed? Does it not work with the actual woocommerce versions ?

Please let me know. Thank you !

Hi there,

Thanks for letting me know about the documentation. I’ll get that fixed ASAP.

Which meta options are you looking for? You can find the global meta template options in Woocommerce > Settings > SEO > Title and Meta. These will apply to all categories and products.

If you want specific meta for individual products or categories then these can be added/edited within each product/category edit page.

Hope that helps

Presale Question: I’m using Woocommerce and WPML with two domains. I would like to have SEO-friendly urls, that means: domain.com/shopname/categoryname/productname

Is this possible? Is your plugin also working with WPML?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Yes the plugin does work with WPML. However the URL structure for the products that you are after may be possible without the plugin if you set your product permalink to user product_cat i think.

You will need the plugin for your category URL if you want /shopname/categoryname.

So this URL structure is not possible with your product, since product cat is removed when clicking on product in WC?

The product category is not removed. The plugin removes the product category base. So your category URL would become mysite.com/category instead of mysite.com/product-category/category.

pre-sales question – is this still supported and compatible with latest version of wordpress and woocommerce? looks like its not been updated in a whle – thanks

Hi there,

Yes it is support and still compatible. The plugin hasn’t had any issues with latest versions of Woocommerce so there hasn’t been an reason to update it :) Although we are planning some new features for the plugin at the moment so an update is due.

When I went to see the Live Preview demo and filtered the products by colors it brings errors: Warning: rtrim() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home/abbidmco/sub_demo.codeninjas.co/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 2393 Yellow (1)

Hi there,

Looks like the demo is not running the latest version of the plugin. Leave it with me and i’ll look into getting it updated. Thanks for letting me know.

hello in the product description it says “Keyword rich URLs when using filters Get rid of the ugly looking parameters and IDs in the URL when using filters and and replace them with keywords making your URLs keyword rich, prettier and more descriptive.” but the plugin (1.9.3) does nothing for my urls. Is there an option to enable this?

Hi there,

You need to replace the default Woocommerce Layered Navigation widget with the plugin Layered Navigation widget to use the keyword filters.

Hi there

I am seeing that the change log didn’t updated for 3 years.. Is it compatible for current WordPress version and woo-commerce version?

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes it is. Apologies, the description hasn’t been updates for a long time.

Hello, I am kind of confused, when I first was interested on removing product-category for my woocommerce site I found that woocommerce do not recommend doing so…https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/removing-product-product-category-or-shop-from-the-urls/ But in the other hand, it makes sense to me to remove it because it makes a cleaner URL So my question is ..Have you experienced a problem as far as funcionality? Can I use the All in one Seo woocommerce with your plugin? In one way this is a pre-sale question…because I want to make sure that it works according to the WP and Woo URL advices.

Hi there,

We haven’t had any issues with removing the base from the category URL and neither have our customers :)

The plugin should work fine with All-in-One. You might need disable product category functionality from All-in-One so that the 2 don’t conflict.

Very interesting plugin. I would like to buy it. Can you please tell me if this works for a site like this: https://www.shoputer.com

Please go through and let me know.

Hi there,

If you site is based on Wordpress/Woocommerce then yes it will work

Hi, I’m using the all-In-One-SEO Wordpress Plugin, is your plugin compatible with All-In-One-SEO plugin?

I see in a previous comment that when using Yoast we need to disable handling of the the product_cat post type and let Woocommerce SEO handle it instead. Is there similair conflicts when using the All-In-One-SEO plugin?

Hi,

Yes there would be. If i remember correctly, you can also disable the product_cat taxonomy in All-in-One too.
